"Is this necessary?" The man at my side hisses. I don't bother answering as we walk down the dim lit alley. I could sense the nervousness in his voice and it made me quite irritated.

"Everything we do is necessary." I sneer, keeping my eyes forward. "And if you're going to question Zeke's orders then I highly suggest you tuck in your tail and get of here. You'll be nothing but scum to me afterwards."

Another man behind us snickers like what I said was a joke. I throw him a nasty stare over my shoulder, shutting him up. Honestly, out of all the members he had to give me dimwit Floch and scaredy-cat Porco.

I click my tongue in distaste while shoving my hands into my pockets. I could've done this myself. It's not like I haven't before.

"I'm not questioning anything!" Porco huffs as if he were insulted. He stops his walk before releasing a loud sigh. "I'm just looking at this logically. Ymir wants to meet in the slums of Shinganshina. She even said we have to go with three people or less."

I stop my walk and sag my shoulders. God, we're having this conversation now? Right before the big negotiation?

I really should've just gone on my own. Whirling around, I cock my head and give Porco an annoyed look.

"Alright? And? So what if she requested to meet out here and with three of us?" I demand.

Floch copies my movement, I do my best to ignore him. It's like having a damn mime at my side.

"C'mon, Eren. Even you have to think this is shady as hell," Porco groans. "She could've invited her whole gang and they could be watching us right now! This whole thing stinks of ambush."

I turn over his words for a moment. Ymir Fritz and Warriors gang. Notorious for being the ruthless, and backstabbing gang to occupy Shinganshina.

However, she comes second to our own. The Titan Gang was also known for their ruthlessness but also for their rough ways. We inflict fear to those who dare question us or cross us.

We even threaten death those we think are a greater deal of threat. Our gang was strong, controlling half of Shinganshina's underground market. Both the Titan and Warriors gang were dangerous and big around these parts. But there was competition, a fight for complete control over the city's underground. And that's what this negation was for.

"Do you honestly think I didn't think of that?" I question tiredly. Porco sends me a bewildered look.

"Huh?" With a heavy sigh, I lift my black cardigan to show him a 9mm pistol strapped to my waist. Porco was speechless. He stares at the gun with wide eyes. "Wait–you already knew?" He breathes.

"Of course, stupid." I drop my cardigan. "If anything goes wrong I got a clear shot of Ymir. You two just flank me and keep your damn mouths shut."

With that, Porco falls into formation behind me. Both Floch and Porco stalked behind me as we exited the alleyway. We entered a small opening between a few run-down buildings.

The stench of piss and sewer mixing into one made my nose scrunch. I frown in disgust. The surroundings weren't even better.

Broken windows and rats scurrying around like they owned the place. God, of all places she had to pick here. I could already imagine her stationed troops behind walls and in buildings.

I could sense them all despite the little light that was provided in the night. I stop in the center and look around uninterested.

"Alright, Ymir! I don't have all night."

It only took a short moment before a soft cackle was emitted in front of me. A petite woman steps into view. Her blond hair cut short as always while that signature white headband was placed upon her head.

She was shorter than me, much shorter. I had mistaken her as a child once, it caused me a broken arm. Despite her delicate form she was quite the sadist and rough gang leader I've ever met. I didn't understand why she had two men flanking her with nailed bats.

"So my guys aren't allowed to have weapons and yours can?" I say petulantly.

"I requested this meeting," she replies dryly. "Therefore, I make the rules."

I roll my eyes, I have no room for her bullshit. I acted as though I gave no shit about this. My shoulders hung loose while I casually prop most of my weight on my right heel. I cock my head, frowning in the process.

"So, you got what we want or what?" She gives me a mischievous smile. She crosses her arms over her chest.

"That depends," she muses. "Got what I want?"

I click my tongue, selfish as always. Without a response, I take out a letter. It was sealed with the envelope blank.

When I hold it before me I could've swore Ymir licked her lips hungrily. Just as Zeke thought, she cared more about this than anything else.

"Now, when you give that to me," Ymir muses. "It won't be a fake? Because if it is, then—"

"Relax," I snap. "Do you possibly think Zeke would give you a fake?" Ymir shrugs nonchalantly while frowning slightly.

"Hm, no but, it's good be cautious. Now, hand it over, boy." She holds out a small pale hand, cocking her head with a devise amusement. But I don't do as she says. I glare at her hand, clenching the letter in the process.

"Where's ours?" I question lowly. "I'm not handing this over till you give the contract Zeke oh so politely asked for."

"Tch, your good-for-nothing leader asked for nothing politely," she sneers. "But since you want to be an impatient brat. . ." Snapping her fingers, one of the men who held a nailed bat steps forward. He reaches into his pant pocket, taking a crisp piece of paper. "This is what you wanted, yes? The contract that states total control of a quarter of the underground market?"

I eye the paper greedily. With that, we would be close to controlling all of the underground market. And I would be one step closer to my goal. I lick my lips and it caused Ymir to chuckle.

"Greedy, aren't we?" She mocks. I shake out of my daze and scoff at her comment.

"Tch, we trade at the same time, Ymir. No funny business, got it?"

"Hm, now why would I try anything? After all, my reputation hangs in the balance." She was grinning like a fox but, that was normal.

I've seen that ugly grin more times than I wish to count. Still, my skin prickles as I narrow my eyes. This was all too easy, I think skeptically. Ymir gestures her hand to me impatiently while the other held the contract.

"I don't have all night," she parroted. I immediately roll my eyes and shove the letter into her hand. When I grasped the contract she tightens her grip on it. I yank it slightly but only to have hold it even tighter.

"The hell? Let go." I order. She only cackles like a witch but, she does as I said.

The paper was wrinkled but I finally had it. We finally gained more control over— the paper was blank. I turn it over a few times. It was fucking blank.

"Oh my goodness, you should see your face right now!" Ymir cackles. "It's priceless!"

I clench the paper, my teeth grinding against each other. Heat began to scorch my entire body, my fists shaking in rage. We were played, played like fools.

I slowly set my glare upon Ymir making sure she knew I wanted to hurt her. I wished she could've just dropped dead.

"You little, bitch!" I roar. "How dare you set us up!?" I stomp my way towards her but was stopped by her men. I glare hotly at them and shove them roughly. "Get out of the way!"

"Eren, cool it." Ymir smirks. "This is just business."

"Business, my ass!" I explode. "You insulted me! You insulted my gang and you're gonna pay for with your blood!"

"Hmph, I don't think so," she muses as she steps back into the shadows. "You'll take my place for me. He's all yours, guys."

With that, six men pop out of the shadows equipped with knives or other objects they consider as weapons. They smile evilly at us, I feel something in me snap.

"Damn it!" I kick the guy in front of me sending him to stumble backward. I didn't need to tell Floch or Porco to join in. Immediately they began to par with the others, attempting to knock their weapons out of their hand.

I landed some hits here and there allowing my anger to do its thing. When I was in the clear, I hastily take out my pistol. I placed it on fire before aiming it at one of Ymir's members.

"You wanna mess with me then here's the price." The guy stumbles before me, his eyes wider than I could imagine.

"Hey, hey that's unfair!" He breathes. His face goes pale, my eyes simply upon him with no greater emotion than anger. I place my finger on the trigger.

"I could say the same about your bitch-of-a-leader but, you know what? I just wanna kill you."

I wanted to. That was the difference. I wanted to but didn't.

I couldn't because there were sirens screeching through the night. It was not long till we were confronted by police. I curse loudly when I hear that familiar voice.

"Drop the weapon and hands to where I can see them, Yeager."

The fighting stops, everything stops. Police had surrounded us all and we were no fools to pick fights with armed men. I drop the gun while raising my hands mockingly.

Just my fucking luck.

"Good evening to you too, Horse-Face."

"When will you ever learn, Eren?? This is getting out of hand."

Stomping out of the police cell, I saunter pass my irritated friend. I shove my hands into my pockets already knowing where to go. After all, it's not my first time at a police station.

"I never learn that's my thing, Armin," I mutter. He scampers after me, his blond hair bouncing on his head as he walks beside me. I didn't have to look to see the disappointed look on his face.

"Eren, I can't keep bailing you out. Mikasa can't keep bailing you out either. Jean would get questioned if this happens even more."

"Does it look like I care?" I snap. "I don't need her damn husband making up excuses for me. It's annoying."

"I'm being serious." Armin rushes in front of me, stopping me in my tracks. The door was just behind him.

A couple more steps and I would have to deal with Jean's mockery and Mikasa's overwhelming concern. I was fine with Mikasa but her damn husband has always gotten on my nerves since high school. There was just something about his face that gave me the overwhelming urge to punch it. It's not like I haven't before.

I set my gaze back to Armin, his face not a pleasant sight. His lips were tugged into a deep frown while his cerulean eyes were narrowed with such fury I forget he possessed. He wore a simple black suit, the ring on his ring finger gleaming under light as he crossed his arms. I set my face into a neutral expression.

"When are you going to grow up?" He demands. "When will you understand that being in this gang will get you nowhere?"

This conversation again, I think tiredly. When will he give up? When will Armin come to his damn senses and realize I was a damn adult.

And one that was valued amongst the members of my gang. I give a little tch sound, before shoving past him.

"When you stop shoving your ass into my business." I left him in the hall to balk at my words like he always did.

And in a couple days this will happen once more. It was a stupid cycle that I was starting to get annoyed with.
