Smoke and fire burning bright
Emotions stirring in the night
Heart aching head spinning
Embers flying never ending

All the words that went unsaid
Falling like ash to my bed
Memories they haunt my dreams
Flames dancing or so it seems

I watch it all as if afar
As my world is torn asunder
Still I feel the warmth and pain
As I drown in smoke and rain

Light and dark intertwined
As I struggle to define
These feelings so raw and real
Flickering like candlelight surreal
