Chasing the horizon, day after day,
searching for something that's gone away.
Wandering through the wild and wide.
Longing for that missing piece inside.

Lost in thought, and lost in time.
Drifting further from the life that's mine.
Yearning for a world unknown.
Desperate for a place that feels like home.

But the horizon always stays ahead,
a tantalizing dream that's left unsaid.
A haunting reminder of what's amiss.
A driving force that forever persists.

And so I follow its endless trail,
through valleys deep and mountains pale.
Never stopping, never slowing down.
Until that missing piece I've finally found.

But until then, I'll keep on chasing,
through deserts hot and oceans endless raging.
For the horizon, no matter how far,
is the guiding light that leads me to where you are.
