A few minutes prior...

A ground bridge portal opened up as a teen jumped down from it. The girl was an 18 year old with raven black hair and purple amethyst eyes. She held up a scanner in front of her as she looked around.

"Hmm. Nothing unusual here." She muttered before turning on her comlink as she started to walk.

"Hey, are you sure I'm in the right location? Cause I'm not getting anything in the scanner." She said through the comlink.

"I'm pretty sure you're in the right location. The energy surge is just a few kliks from where you are." The voice said as she kept walking.

"Well, I don't see any-" She was cut off when the scanner started to beep erratically as she looked around in confusion.

"Hang on, I'm getting something." She said as she narrowed her eyes.

"Need backup?" The female voice asked and she just smirked.

"Do I ever need backup? I'll call to let you know. Emilia out." She said before she turned off the comlink. 

She moved the scanner around as she continued to walk forward as the scanner kept on beeping erratically only for the beeps to intensify as she stopped at a particular spot as she looked around.

"Hmm. That's weird. There's nothing here." She said in confusion.

Suddenly she saw a ground bridge opened up and she quickly took cover behind a rock. She peeked from it as the ground bridge dropped something on the ground before the portal closed up. She wanted to take a closer look but the instincts in her kept saying to stay away and keep her distance. So she listened to it.

The teen, Emilia, watched carefully as the thing that came from the ground bridge started to come online and seemed to check its servo. She took note that it or he panicked and looked around for something or someone before he spoke in a rather familiar voice yet the voice seemed more... friendly and worried?

"Emily? Where are you?" He called out as he looked around.

She heard a groan not too far from the mech as she observed that the mech went to where the groaning was.

"Emily, are you okay?" The mech asked someone in concern as she saw someone getting up slowly while holding their head as the mech used his digit to steady the person as they shook their head to get rid of the dizziness.

She made a mental note that the person the mech was referring to was Emily but the mech is the problem. He looks way too familiar like Lord Prime but the color is all wrong.

"Oh man. That was quite a shock." The blonde girl said before she started to look around her surroundings and noticed their surroundings as Emilia took cover to avoid being seen.

"Well, we're not back at the base." She heard the Emily person say as she sighed.

"No, we are not. Emily, you disobeyed my direct orders and you almost got hurt." She heard the mech agree before scolding her sternly as she looked over the rock slightly to see the girl looking down at her feet.

"Yeah I know. I just couldn't let you face the Decepticons alone. I'm not one to leave a dear friend behind." The mention of Decepticons raised too many red flags in her head as she narrowed her eyes at them. What does the girl mean by facing the Decepticons?

The mech sighed as he looked at his companion.

"I know. But you must understand that there are things you're not ready for yet." The mech told the girl as he stood back up as the girl nodded as she looked up to him.

"I know." She told him before she checks around her again and finds something weird as the place looks the same when they first arrived.

"That's weird. The sky looks the same but the place around feels different. Where are we?" The girl asked in confusion as she took in her surroundings more.

That made Emilia want to snort in amusement.

"I do not know. The ground bridge might've sent us to a different location." The mech told her but he was getting a bad feeling about the location or place they were in.

The mech then starts using his comm-link to try and contact the base for a ground bridge.

"Optimus to base, do you read?" Optimus asked through his comm-link but nobody answered the comm-link due to the interference he was getting.

When the mech said his name and was calling the base, that did it as Emilia narrowed her eyes at them. They might be Autobot spies and were sent to this location to trap her.

"No answer. There's too much interference." The mech or Optimus said as the girl looked up to him.

"Maybe if I try with my phone." The girl said as she fished out her phone and called the base as when she tried to get some answers, she only heard static on the line as she sighed softly.

"No answer either. If the phone and comm-link doesn't work, it means that we won't be able to call the others for help." The girl told him as she put her phone back in her pocket.

Having enough, Emilia stepped out fully from her hiding spot as she glared at them with hatred as she yelled at them.

"Freeze!" She yelled at the two. 

She took notice how the two froze in shock and they both turned around to face her and Emilia took a small step back as she couldn't stop her breath from hitching up in shock. Standing in front of her were two of the people she least expected but there was something off about them but her hatred and anger towards the two just blocked off any logic in her mind.

"Don't move or I'll shoot your heads off!" She warned them as both of them stared in shock.

Current situation...

"Who are you? Why are you here, and how come you look like me and the other one looks like Lord Optimus Prime?" The raven haired girl asked in suspicion as she glared at them.

"If this is a trick, I won't hesitate to pull the trigger on you." She warns them as she points her plasma cannon at them.

Emily snapped out of her thoughts as she looked at Optimus and to her look alike.

"You're the one who should explain why you look like me and what's that Lord Optimus Prime thing. His name is Optimus Prime. No Lord in it." Emily said but the glare only seemed to intensified as the raven haired girl glared more at them.

"Do me a favor, be quiet and start explaining yourself because I'm giving you five nanoseconds to tell me who you really are. Starting now." She warned them through gritted teeth and Emily could sense she was being serious which made her take a step back.

"Okay, calm down. There's no need to make things more complicated." Emily tried to calm her but the girl just glared more at her.

"Four nanoseconds. Going down to three." She warned them and Emily decided to use her time wisely and start to explain.

"Okay, so here's the thing. My name is Emily Sparks. Well, that's my human name. And my friend here, well, my partner is Optimus Prime. The reason we're here is because we had an accident with our ground bridge. There was a malfunction, me and Optimus got sucked into it and that's how we're here." Emily explained as that eased the glare a little but the girl didn't let up on pointing her cannon at them.

"That does not explain why you guys look like the enemy. And why do you look exactly like me?" The girl said and Emily tried to come up with an explanation before she took a close look at the girl.

The girl looks exactly like her except the color of the hair and eyes and there can only be one explanation to it and the ground bridge accident must've opened up a dimensional rift between her and Optimus' world to this one. Could this be what they call alternate dimensions? She shook her head a little but decided to go with it.

"True. I know it's gonna be hard to believe but I think the incident of our ground bridge accidentally sent us into this strange world. And as fate would have it, we both look the same because we're doppelgangers or counterparts. I'm you from my world and you're me in this world. I know it sounds crazy when I say it like that." Emily explained as her doppleganger raised an eyebrow.

"I find it hard to believe any word that's coming out of your mouth. Do you really think I'm gonna believe you're me from a different world?" Her doppleganger states as Emily sighs while rubbing the back of her neck.

"I did say it was gonna be hard to believe." Emily said sheepishly as the girl seemed to contemplate this.

Emilia contemplates what her doppleganger said. This Emily person seems strange but the only way to prove that she really is her doppleganger is to prove it and to tell her the things that only both of them know.

"If what you say is true, then prove it. Tell me the things only we know. Tell me who you are and where you come from." Emilia said as Emily was relieved that she at least gave her a chance to explain.

"Okay, well, I was found by a lovely human couple who adopted me when I was just sparkling. My adoptive father was Edward Sparks, my adoptive mother was Lucille Sparks." Emily starts to explain as her doppleganger listens.

"Dad had glasses and a funny ponytail. When he would cuddle my face, his beard would tickle my face. Mom had an arm prosthetic. She had beautiful eyes. Every time I was scared, she would come to my room and sing a lullaby. She had a lovely singing voice. At the age of 5, I had fixed a motherboard that came from an old computer that my dad had. He was so amazed at how I fixed it. Back at school, kids would make fun of me because of my two different colored eyes and the mark I had on my arm. And when my mom passed away..." Emily explained but grew solemn and saddened when she mentioned her mom.

Emilia listened and knew those things happened to her but when Emily said that her mom passed away, she blinked back the tears. She decided to listen more.

"It was hard... even though she wasn't my real mother, it still hurts to this very day. She died in a car accident. It was on my birthday. My parents never told me who I really was and who my real parents were. My Cybetronian mother was Solarix Starlight and my Cybetronian father was Alpha Trion. During the war, my father put me in a stasis pod and sent me to earth." Emily finished explaining as she looked down sadly.

Optimus was speechless to say the least. Emily was so young when she lost a carrier? He couldn't help but feel sorry for her loss. Emilia's glare eased up more as her eyes grew a bit misty and solemn.

"How old were you... when your mother died?" Emilia asked slowly as Emily looked up sadly as she took a deep breath.

"I was turning 6 years old. It happened on my birthday." Emily said sadly.

Emilia couldn't believe what she said as something similar happened to her on her 6th birthday as well as she lowered her cannon a little as she relaxed a little.

"I too... lost someone I loved deeply in a car accident on my birthday. I was becoming 6 years old too. It was... my dad..." Emilia admitted solemnly as Emily looked up suddenly as she looked at her in shock.

"Wait... so you mean your... that she's..." Emily said hopefully. Could that mean her human mother is alive in this dimension?!

"Yeah... she's alive. And just like you, she and my dad never told me the truth. I found out about it when... I  joined the Decepticons." Emilia said as her eyes grew a little serious as she looked at the two.

"You joined the Decepticons?" Emily took a step back towards Optimus who was observing what was going on.

"Yeah, why? Oh, let me guess. They're the bad guys in your world?" Emilia stated sarcastically as Emily bit her lip.

"They were the bad guys." Emily hesitantly replied.

Emilia gives Emily a look that says 'I don't get it' and it just makes her sigh.

"It's a long story. So if you join the cons, this means this world has their own Autobots too." Emily said as Emilia hummed a little.

"It does. And the cons don't like those assassins." Emilia said but the word assassins was filled with venom as that confused Emily.

"Assassins? What do you mean?" Emily asked in confusion as Emilia looked around as if sensing something.

"I'll explain later. We have to get out of here before they find us. Our leader will want to hear your story. Let's go. We can't risk being found by any Autobot scouts." Emilia said as both Optimus and Emily looked at each other.

Emily doesn't know what to think about her doppleganger. She just brings back bad memories of what happened to the time when she first transformed into Unicra and it left a scar in her mind even after finding out she was the daughter of a Prime. Optimus thought about what Emily's double said. They're in a completely alien world and they don't know where they are but this girl might be the only one they can trust for now until they find a way back home.

After much contemplating, Emily stepped forward.

"Lead the way." She motioned for her to go forward but gulped when Emilia raised her cannon at her as a warning.

"If you trick me or do something that hurts me or any of my friends. I'll make sure you regret coming to this world." Emilia warned her as Emily backed down.

"Trust me, I'm starting to." She said as she leveled her eyes to her. 

Optimus stepped in to prevent the two from fighting.

"Please, there's no need for such aggressiveness. We do not wish you any harm." Optimus pleaded gently as that took Emilia off guard as she looked up to his optics and saw nothing but warmth. The same warmth she felt around him.

"You talk... just like him... but you're different." Emilia muttered in shock and confusion.

Emilia hears the sound of cars coming and she knew what it was and it was time to run now.

"Come with me now." She told them urgently and started to run ahead with both Emily and Optimus following.
