Chapter 7

The next morning I woke up just a little before dawn, I wanted to see the sunrise with Achilles. Well Achilles was not the only one on my mind. I quickly got dressed into a light blue gown and kept my hair down putting on my light brown petty coat and ran outside right to the stables to see Westley finish putting the reins on Achilles. He looked my way and smiled at me. Oh that boy was going to be the death of me.

I walked up and pet Achilles and he neighed with contentment. This horse was starting to become my best friend. That's when I also looked back to Westley to see him look between Achilles and I. It looked like he wanted to say something but he may have been too shy.

"Do you know the best spot to see the sunrise?" I ask Westley bringing out my courage as well.

"The meadow, it is a beautiful sight." He tells me as Tom comes up behind him and pats him on the back.

"She don't know where that is, why not show her? Go ahead and take Gabriel out for a run. Poor thing could use to some time out of here." Tom tells Westley.

"It would be nice to have a guide." I tell Westley trying encourage him to come with me.

Westley smiles and nods at me as he goes off to get Gabriel ready. I bet he didn't plan on coming with me when he woke up this morning. Tom looks back at me and I see him smile as well. I wonder if Tom was planning this since he first met me. I just smile and nod back to him as I take Achilles reins and lead him to the stable door to wait for Westley. I looked back to the house and couldn't believe this was all real.

I mean it wasn't like I had anything to return to back in my own time. Here Jane Austen my favorite author of all time had taken me in as her friend. Grateful was an understatement to be honest. I felt like I was living in a fairy tale. Mounting Achilles I look behind me and see Westley riding Gabriel our way.

"Keep close, Gabriel likes to give Achilles a run for his money." Westley says as he takes off and Achilles and I follow right behind him.

The wind was chilly but crisp as well. Usually I hated the cold but right now I didn't have a problem with it. I was just happy to be with Achilles and Westley of course. Following him through the small patch of woods was nothing that I couldn't handle. Finally after riding a few more minutes we stopped at the meadow. Westley dismounted Gabriel and tied him off to a tree as I lead Achilles to stand beside Gabriel and Westley tied him off for me as well. What surprised me was when Westley held my waist and helped me down off of Achilles though I was sure he knew I didn't need help.

Once my feet were on the ground I couldn't help but blush as I looked up at him and smiled. I don't know what has gotten into me but there is something about him that just made me want to stay with him. I may not know what it is now but I was determined to figure it out.

"Come this way, once the sun rises you will be able to feel the warmth of the first rays of the day." Westley tells me offering me his hand, of course I take it and follow him into the meadow.

Once there Westley lays out a blanket that I didn't even see him grab. I still wasn't sure if I was paying attention to what he was doing though. Westley led me to the blanket and I sat down beside him as we looked to the horizon. Just like Westley said as the sun started to rise I did feel warm. I wasn't sure if it was the sun or the man sitting beside me but all I knew was it felt good. The sunrise was so beautiful I couldn't begin to describe it in words.

"Truly a sight is it not?" Westley asks me as I look over to him.

"Believe it or not this is the first sunrise that I have seen. I could not begin to describe it." I tell him as he smiles at me.

"You left your hair down again, the sun is nothing the only beautiful one here before me." Westley tells me as he reaches out and touches my hair.

I didn't know what to say or do but when I saw him leaning closer to my face my body definitely took over and before I knew what to do his lips were on mine and there was no way I was going to tell him to stop. I could actually feel myself kissing him back! His hand that was once in my hair was now on my cheek gently caressing it. When we separated from our kiss we looked at each other.

"Where have you been all of my life?" he asks me with his eyes still closed but a smile on his face.

"Looking for you." My mouth replies quite romantically if I may add.

This just causes his eyes to open and his smile to grow even wider. Westley then surprised me and pulled me into his embrace and kissed me on the top of my head. Holding me there we watched as the sun continued to rise. Just like we were the only two people in the world.

After returning from my amazing morning I walked inside the kitchen only to have a plate thrown at me but crash and break into the wall behind me. I turn around and see Fanny grab another plate about to throw it at me. What the heck did I do to this crazy woman?! I duck out of the way as the plate crashes behind me.

"What is the matter with you?!" I yell at Fanny as I run and grab the next plate she had.

"Plumtree! You want him all to yourself!" she yells at me probably at the top of her voice.

"There is no way in the world that would be close to possible! After all you looking at him as if he were already your husband!" I yell back at her but at a louder volume than she used on me.

Fanny cowers away from me for a moment as she looks around the room and can see the cooks looking at her with an odd look on their faces. I didn't blame them after all she was acting crazy! I swear I didn't do anything to whatever his name was.

"My aunt says he now has an interest in the American. You had to come along and ruin everything!" she yells at me as she plops down on a chair and crosses her arms.

"Oh for the love of, Fanny I have no idea what to tell you. I do not speak to him therefore I cannot know his emotions now can I?" I ask her as she looks at me.

"He has told my aunt so. Aunt Jane never lies to me." She tells me with a huff.
