FORTY-EIGHT

   Her beautiful eyes sparkled in the moonlight. The red dress hugged her curves, swiftly outlining her petite body. The boy's mouth dried at the sight of his beautiful girlfriend.

  "Woah." he let out as she walked up to him.

   Nari smiled as she placed her arms on his shoulders, intertwining her hands behind the nape of his neck.

  "I could say the same thing about you." she smiled as they began to dance.

   Jungkook looked around at his surroundings. They swayed to the music that blared in the party. They seemed to be in some place that Jungkook did not know, they were at a wedding.

   He furrowed his eyebrows, "Who's getting married?" he asked as he caressed her hip.

   She giggled and tucked a strand of hair around his ear, "Namjoon and Hye, silly." she smiled.

  His eyes widened, "What, are you serious?" he asked as they kept swaying to the beat of the music.

   Nari smiled as she nodded, "Yeah."

   Somehow, he had a need to ask something. He doesn't know how, but something inside him begged for him to finally ask that question.

   He took a deep breath. His hands pulled her closer to his frame. Her doe eyes looked at every detail in his features. It made the insides of his stomach feel as if a flock of butterflies were in his stomach.  Jungkook sighed before asking.

    "Nari, will you marr–" he began but Nari hugged him and whispered to him.

   "Wake up." she replied.

    "What?" he asked as she repeated it, one more time.

    "Wake up!" she whispered.

     Suddenly, everything faded and everyone was gone. All his friends and family disappeared. What was going on?

     "Wake up!" Mina shouted as she shook his shoulders.

    He sat up rapidly in shock.

     His little sister giggled as he gave her a look, "Really?" He asked her.

    "I'm sorry for waking you up from what seemed to be an interesting dream but," she motioned to the door, "you have visitors, my dear brother." she said jokingly.

   "Visitors, who?" he asked as he yawned.

    "Your fiancé is here." she winked at him.

    He widened his eyes before jumping off the bed, "W-what?" he saw her chuckle before crossing her arms on her chest, "Don't play with me, or else."

   "I heard you mumble out a few words, that's how I know about your dream." she told him before walking towards the door.

   Jungkook threw a pillow at her with a scowl on his face. He didn't notice but his cheeks were now warm and had a rosy color. Yes, he was blushing.

   "Alright," she put her hands up, as if she was surrendering, "I'm leaving, calm down lover boy."

   Sure, Mina was still in middle school, but she was mature enough to understand what was going on. Jungkook and Mina both had to grow up relatively faster than usual. Sometimes they'd both stay alone with their babysitter, but she'd let them do whatever they wanted to. Let's just say that they learned how to take care of each other by themselves.

   As Mina left, Jungkook prepared himself. He picked some jeans and a white shirt before going to the bathroom. He sighed as he entered the shower and left the clothes on the floor.

   He smiled as the dream that he just had kept repeating itself on his brain.

  One day I'll ask her, one day.

"So you guys went to that diner last night?" Nari said to him in a cute tone of voice that made him heart quicken.

Jungkook choked on his strawberry shake that he slurped happily, "H-how?"

"Jimin." she said to him as she smiled.

"I thought you would be sleeping," he gulped, "so I didn't want to disturb you."

"I know, don't worry," she took his hand from across the table, intertwining her small digits with his, "but next time, I'm going."

"Deal." he smiled at her before taking her hand and kissing the back of it.

   She smiled before taking a fry off her plate and extended it to him, "Eat."

   He chuckled, she was so cute. He opened his mouth before eating the fry happily, "I love food." he clenched his fist up to his heart with a smile on his face.

  Nari laughed, "You sound just like Jin." she giggled.

   "Jin isn't the only one who loves food." Jungkook said jokingly.

   She nodded with a smile on her face.

   He saw her with loving eyes, she looked beautiful at everything she did. She was perfect in his eyes.

   "Do you feel better?" he asked, concerned.

   She nodded, "Yeah, I had to beg my mom to let me go visit you," she played with his hands, "she said that I needed to stay in bed but I just wanted to get out for a while, you know?"

  "I understand," he caressed her cheek, "but you need to rest, babe." her hand cupped his on her cheek.

   She looked down with her reddened cheeks in display, "I know," she sighed before looking up at him, "but I wanted to see you."

   He chuckled as the crimson color of her cheeks was even more visible, "I love it when you blush because of me." he let out.

   "Aish! Stop, you'll make me turn even more red like a tomato." she whined playfully before continuing to eat her food with a huge smile adorning her face.

   Jungkook was about to say something when a message lit up his phone. He took it from the table and read the message.

  "Let's go." Jungkook said as he smiled with Nari.

They stood up from their seats and left the building. Jungkook missed being this carefree with the boys. It had been a long time since they felt relieved, happy.

  He had brought his parent's car. He opened the passenger seat for Nari and let her sit slowly. He waited for her to sit down before bending down to her seating level.

  She looked at his eyes with that brightness that he loved. He looked at her rosy lips and leaned in slowly, which he knew it made her heart melt.

  "I love you." he mumbled before placing his lips against hers in a delicate but meaningful kiss.

   She caressed his cheek as they pecked their lips one more time, "I love you." she replied with a bright smile.

   He pecked her lips again before closing the door of the car and jogging to the passenger seat.

   He put on his seatbelt before turning to her. He began wondering how someone as wonderful as her managed to fall into his life. He wondered also, how she managed to become someone important in his life in a matter of months; but when you fall in love, time doesn't matter when you are with your true love.

hello!!! I was actually going to add another scene to this chapter but I left it like that...
