THIRTY-SEVEN
She had been quiet all day. Everyone had tried to get her to talk, but she stood her ground. Jungkook had tried every single thing that he could think of doing; just to listen to the beautiful melody of her voice.
"Babe." he nudged her as they sat by the pool in the next morning.
They had rolled up their pants to soak their feet in the coldness that the water held.
He scooted closer to her, "Nari, please say something," his lips pressed lightly her cheek, "I miss listening to your voice."
The girl sighed and raised her face to feel the sunlight. It complemented her skin tone perfectly, the soft strokes of light appeared on her skin.
"I'm sorry." she mumbled.
Jungkook's heart thumped against his body as he, once again, heard her speak.
He placed his hand on her shoulder, bringing her body to his.
"It's okay, babe," he mumbled as he pecked her lips, "I understand, we understand."
The poor girl had went through a lot in these past few months. First, she had almost been killed. Second, she learned that her father had left her to protect her and her family. Third, after a few years, she talked to her father. Lastly, his girlfriend now knew where her father could be and what he could've been doing while he was away; becoming one of them, one of the Dragons.
She hugged him back and rested her head on his chest.
After a few minutes, she spoke once more, "I'm thinking of calling him again."
"Nari–" he tried warming her that it could be dangerous to call him since they had tacked the phone number to what could be the Dragon's new home.
"I need to ask him, just to be sure." Nari looked up from his chest.
His hands caressed her cheeks, "They could be tracking us, for all we know," Jungkook said, "it's dangerous to call him."
"You should listen to him." Hye told her as the group of friends all ran to the pool, jumping into it.
"Hye, I can ask him." she had left Jungkook's embrace and turned to her friend who had sat down next to her.
Hoseok swam to them and placed his hands on her knees, "It's dangerous, we know you want to ask him, so do we," he admitted, "but we can't, we'll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out."
Tomorrow; the day when they would drive to the location that the phone's were tracked to. It was a mutual agreement. They had no time to waste.
The girl sighed before nodding, "You guys are right."
"We're glad to hear your voice again." Yugyeom told her from one of the lounge chairs.
"Thanks, I guess." she responded.
Jungkook smiled at her before kissing her lips, "I love you."
"Love you too." Her soft lips graced his.
Instantly, Jungkook felt a pair of hands take his feet and lift him up by his biceps.
"No, no no–" he shouted as he was thrown to the pool.
He saw back up, right in time to see Taehyung lift up Nari with Eun's help.
The girl he had the privilege to call his girlfriend had a bright smile on her face as she shouted at them to let her go.
"Let me go! I will kill you guys!" she screamed as she was also thrown to the pool.
Jungkook was quick enough to hold her to him before she submerged from the water.
"I got you." He whispered to her as he helped her gain her balance.
He glared at Taehyung who had a smirk on his face.
Jungkook was about to give that boy a little bit of his own medicine.
"Taehyung!" his voice scared the red haired boy who had begun running around in circles, trying to escape an infuriated Jungkook.
He began running behind him, "Come here! I'm pretty sure you'd like to cool yourself down!" he joked as he had reached the boy.
"No, please! Jungkook!" he screamed as he began laughing.
With no mercy, Jungkook had somehow carried the boy to the pool and dropped him. He dropped him and jumped to the pool himself.
"You're so unfair, Eun helped too and she wasn't thrown to the pool," he whined, "sorry baby." Taehyung glanced at Eun who had slapped his shoulder.
"It was your idea, not mine." Eun said as she had jumped on his back and pecked his cheek.
Hold on.
"When did you two, you know?" Jin asked from the very end of the pool.
Both teens blushed before speaking, "Yesterday." Taehyung's cheeks had turned red.
"Cute." Hyuk responded.
"We should do something when all of this is finished." Jimin said.
Nari turned to him from Jungkook's embrace, "Something like what?"
"I don't know, go out for ice cream or just stay in Joon's house." Jimin continued.
Nari chuckled, "I don't think that I can go," she continued swimming, "from what I'm seeing, my mom could ground me for life once we get back."
"Same here." Yoongi had finally spoken, he was laying down on a beach chair with a hat on his face.
"Then we can all go to my house and throw a party." Namjoon joked.
Jungkook smiled as he nodded, "That's a good idea, I'm in."
"Wait–"
"Me too!" Everyone chimed in, including Yugyeom.
It'll be a good party indeed. Jungkook couldn't wait to let the Busan High End Prep know he loved Nari with all his heart.

"Do we have everything?" Jin asked as they settled down in the car.
Namjoon nodded, "I think so, the masks are in the brown bag."
Right.
They agreed to use the masks for security purposes only. It had been a while since they had used them.
"So, let's go over the plan," he continued, "Yugyeom will go in with his people and check the perimeter, then we'll go inside after they give us the signal."
We all nodded, all of us had fit in the van that Yugyeom had purchased for us.
"Tae, Jimin and Hoseok will stay outside, just in case." Jin continued.
"Guys, remember something," Namjoon responded as he turned into a curve before continuing driving smoothly, "please stay safe, I would want to lose any of you; my family."
"You won't lose us, Joon." Yoongi mumbled.
He smiled, "I know, I just wanted to say that. I always tell you guys this," he did tell them this, Jungkook was sure that he had stopped telling them a while ago, but if he said it now it was for one reason, "I love you all, please don't get injured."
"We won't." Nari told him as she grasped Jungkook's hand in worry.
Jungkook looked at her, "Everything will be fine, babe." he reassured her.
Something deep inside his being told him otherwise. He kept repeating the words like a mantra inside his mind, in hopes of it becoming true.
Everything will be fine.
They will be fine.
Nari will be fine.

Hello! How are you guys?
I hope you guys are doing well 💗
Are you guys excited for Burn the Stage? I'm so excited for the series!
Also, I wanted to thank you guys for 700+ votes and 11k reads for this book! I love you all so much.
Please check out my Jimin fan fic (it's in Spanish tho). It has Jimin as a CEO and the main character Kim Mina who becomes an intern in his company and well, things get interesting from there. It will have loads of humor, drama, and relatable situations. Right now the only thing that has been posted is the summary, but the first chapter will be posted soon...hehee.
Thank you for support this story ❤️ Without you guys, this book wouldn't have even happened. You guys have been with me from the very beginning and I can't thank you enough. Idk how many times I've said this but thank you, for real.
Love you guys. See you next Friday!
Jen.
