TWO

Yun Nari had dreamt about the same boy last night. All night she could see him burning a small but beautiful flower with tears on his eyes.

Jungkook, that name could set her trembling without giving any second thoughts. If his name could set her trembling, then why had he been in her dreams?

After all, she wasn't going to see those boys again so she could live her life without fear of getting killed. Let's just say that she had mixed feelings about that particular situation.

She looked at herself in the mirror and let out a sigh, her new uniform horrified her. Burgundy isn't her favorite color.

"Nari! Breakfast is served." she heard her mother's voice from downstairs as she fixed her hair quickly before bringing her backpack with her.

The first thing she saw was Ara stuffing some pancakes as fast as she could, as always.

"Slow down, we're early." their mother scolded Ara, earning a scoff and a splatter of half chewed pancakes on the pre-teen's plate.

Nari chuckled as she served herself one small pancake, "Mom, it's probably her hormones."

"Not everything is because of hormones, hun." her mother said as she took a sip of her green tea.

The three of them would be spending the day at Busan High End Preparatory. Ara would be starting 9th grade and her mother would be teaching history in middle school. Meanwhile, Nari would be starting her 11th grade. She didn't feel like a soon-to-be adult. Instead she kept feeling as a teen just dreading the day she'd turn into a grown up, leaving all her memories of being young and free behind.

"Okay, let's go." after a while, Ara finished her food so they were heading to the door.

The ride was short but their mother kept talking on the way, both of the girls had headaches by now.

"Remember, don't talk to strangers and most certainly do not go to any parties." she finished.

Ara scoffed as she looked up from her phone, "I don't go to parties, mom."

"Still, just making sure I told you both before it's too late." their mother said as they pulled up in front of the school.

Nari gathered her backpack and her books sneaking a glance at the school building. You could tell just but looking at the facade that only wealthy children go to that school. She sighed and turned around to bid goodbye to her mother and Ara.

"Bye Ara, you'll be okay. Just remember what I told you last week." she said to her before hugging her as tight as she could.

She kissed her mother's cheek before leaving them as she ran into the building.

The floors were polished. The walls were made of marble and the light peeked through the colossal glass window on the ceiling. Her face was filled with shock and amazement, at her old school nobody even cared to polish the floors and most certainly the walls weren't made out of marble. Well, after all, she's going to the most expensive school in Korea.

She found her way into the office easily since it was right at the entrance. She rapidly sat down on one of the chairs and waited for her name to be called.

"Yun Nari." a woman's voice was heard and she stood up, walking to the main desk.

Nari bowed before answering, "Hello."

The woman nodded and gave her the paper, "Hyuk will show you around the school."

As soon as she said that a boy around her age with mint hair walked through the door and bowed to her.

"Are you Yun Nari?" he asked as soon as he saw her holding the paper in her hands.

She nodded, "Yes. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too." he replied before taking her paper and reading the indications.

He motioned her to follow him so she did, he led her through several halls of teenagers before stopping in front of a few lockers.

Hyuk put in the combination before opening the large locker for her.

"Thank you." Nari said.

He nodded and motioned to the lockers behind hers, "Luckily, my locker is behind yours so you won't be alone." he joked making her smile.

She turned around and started placing everything as she wanted it to be.

The students beside her passed as if this wasn't that much for them but for her luxury was a blessing. She never got to see this daily, marble walls, tiled floors, expensive uniforms; this was all new to her.

She finished changing for her next classes so she closed the locker before turning to Hyuk only to see him laugh with a girl.

He noticed and he smiled kindly, urging her over to him.

Nari walked toward him as her heart sped up. She wasn't that fond of socializing she preferred to stay quiet and let someone else do the talking but this time she felt different. She felt like she wanted to welcome this new life with open arms.

"Nari, this is my best friend Eun. Eun meet Nari!" he said excitedly.

"Hi! It's so nice to finally have another girl to talk with." Eun commented, her bright red hair flowed freely above the waist and her petite frame was noticeable beside Hyuk who was the tallest out of the three.

"Likewise." she smiled before she saw their smiles change into a scowl.

She turned around and saw the two huge entrance doors wide open from the impact. After that, seven boys entered and the hall became silent. Her eyes couldn't leave those boys. She still couldn't see their faces until the light hit them and she widened her eyes in shock.

Just my luck, she thought.

She froze, unable to do or say anything else. Those boys were the boys she feared the most. The most dangerous gang in Korea; Bangtan.

"Nari?"

They walked with so much confidence and cockiness, as if they weren't going to kill someone for not having what they wanted; as if they weren't about to kill her last night.

Her eyes where now focused on Jungkook, he looked so different with his hair slicked back. His burgundy uniform was clean and tucked in neatly. What scared her the most was his facial expressions, last night he showed anger and desperation through his features but now; now they show cockiness and a sense of superiority.

"Nari, stop looking at them!"

As they were passing the halls, one of them noticed her. She remembered him as Taehyung, the dark haired boy with gorgeous features.  He suddenly did the unexpected and he smiled at her before continuing to walk with the boys.

"Nari."

On the other hand, Jungkook noticed her as soon as he saw Taehyung smile from beside him. She saw that moment clearly. His eyes widened before he smirked at her. In that moment she felt as if the world had frozen and it was only Jungkook and her.

"Yun Nari!"

Nari felt the sweat that started to come out of her hands and her heart had begun to pound against her chest.

She felt a hand take hers and drag her out from the scene, "Nari!" Eun shook her shoulders.

She shook her head, trying to wake herself up and she did, "Oh my-"

"Are you crazy?" Hyuk shouted.

"What?" she leaned against the wall of the classroom she was just pulled in.

It looked like the science classroom because of the lab coats and instruments placed on the table, they had arrived early for her first class.

Hyuk threw his backpack on one of the tables and started pacing around, "They saw you looking at them, he saw you looking! Now they'll think you want them so you'll be their next target!" he exclaimed.

"I didn't know, I-"

Eun sighed, "Sit down, I'll explain."

They both sat down on the first table meanwhile Hyuk went to get some coffee to calm down.

"They think they own this school because one of them, Kim Namjoon, is the director's son so they let them do anything they want without any remorse." she began.

"Those boys think they are the best of the bestest and they treat everyone like trash. They play around with girls' hearts and like to tease those who don't have the luxury that they do." Eun answered.

"So whenever they see a girl who is interested in one of them they make her their prey. Hyuk instantly thought that because Jungkook, the boy at the front, saw you looking at him. I don't think that is true but," she placed a hand on her shoulder, "if they try anything, we'll be here for you."

"As your new friend, I am giving you this advice. Please stay away from them, they aren't worth it." Eun finished, giving her a smile.

Nari nodded and tried to seem happy, she remembered that Jungkook told her to keep what happened to herself. But Jungkook saw her, he even smirked at her.

Oh God, this is bad...really bad, she thought.

Little did she know that this was the beginning of a very long ride that would lead her to an unknown world she didn't ever think of stepping into.
