FIFTEEN
Her head was on the arm rest of the couch. Nari had just gotten home from school. Inside her mind she kept remembering the plan.
Sure, she had gotten a job that would pay well. Sure, she'd finally help her mother financially; but her job wasn't right at all.
The boys had explained to her that she'd be their 'secretary'. Secretary as in helping organize the packages and when they needed her help in their missions, she'd assist.
Tonight's mission was absurd, at least to her. It had to do with the one person she'd never want to see again: Yong Zik.
Yes, that pervert.
They'd go to the club with her. She'd act as their companion. When Zik arrived she'd go find him getting him out of the club and to the alley. Around that time, the boys would put on their masks and appear out of nowhere.
They'd tell her to leave, acting as if they didn't know her. Meanwhile, she'd be running to Namjoon's house to wait for them. Turns out that he lived two blocks down from her house.
The more you know.
The same plan kept running through her mind. Doubts had encircled her mind too. What if this doesn't work? What if someone gets hurt? What if-
"And you are not listening." her mother responded.
Nari turned to her mother, "What?"
"I stand corrected." she replied.
"I'm sorry, mom." Nari answered as she still rested her head on the arm rest.
"It's okay, I'm already used to it," her mother turned to Ara who was playing with her phone, "Ara–"
The teenage girl was smiling as she touched random buttons on her phone. She's probably texting Sana about Jimin. Ara was unbothered.
"See, it always happens." her mother sighed.
Nari chuckled, "I'm just nervous." she had stood up and was standing besides her mother in the kitchen.
"Nervous for what?" she asked her daughter.
She had to tell her eventually.
"I got a job and tonight it's my first shift." she admitted.
Her mother's eyes widened. Nari thought she'd get scolded.
She was completely right.
"A job? Without my permission?" she put her hands on her waist.
"Mom I just want to hel-"
"You know what I've told you every time you said that." she retorted.
"It's at a night-time family restaurant and they pay well, at least let me have this job for once." she pleaded.
Pure lies were running out of her mouth.
She felt bad.
Her eyebrows furrowed as she contemplated, "I'll let you, but if it begins interfering with your education, it is done." she pointed at her.
"Understood." Nari answered.
It was six pm and the boys had told her that they'd pick her up at that time. She had changed a while ago into a normal shirt and jeans.
"Ara it's your turn to clean the dishes today!" her mother exclaimed as she jogged to the couch and turned on the tv.
Ara groaned and passed next to Nari bumping her shoulder with hers. She was still mad, Nari had noticed.
As she sat down beside her mother and began watching the return of superman, her phone rang.
From: Jeon Jungkook
We're here, come outside.
She bid her mom goodbye, telling her that her shift began in a few minutes. Her mother told her to be careful, that those gangs were out at night.
Little did she know.
Nari stepped outside and saw the seven boys reclining their backs on the car. It looked like fresh out of a movie scene. All of them dressed nicely and she was in jeans and a t-shirt.
Jimin had a bag and rapidly stretched his hand out to her with the bag, "This is for you."
The girl rapidly took the bag and saw the contents inside. A short red dress with red Louis Vuitton's were visible.
Her cheeks reddened as the boys watched her reaction. They were still standing outside.
"Oh, I'm not–this–it's too short–"
Namjoon sighed, "You cannot go to a club dressed like that, you have to leave an impression."
"I can leave quite an impression dressed like this, that I'm actually not interested–"
A hand flew to her mouth and that stopped her cold, "You talk too much, get in."
Nari rolled her eyes and moved his hand from her mouth. Her hand gripped the bag as she got inside the car.
"How am I supposed to change into this?" she asked.
She was seated between Jin and Yoongi. Jungkook sat on the driver's seat. They were on his car.
"Changing." Yoongi stated the obvious.
"I meant, where am I supposed to change?" she repeated.
Hoseok chuckled, "You can change here, we won't peek."
"Very funny." she said sarcastically.
Namjoon turned to her from the front, "Hye will make her pretty."
"Who's Hye?" she asked.
"Namjoon's girlfriend." Jin answered.
After a few minutes they arrived at a big house with two levels. It was similar to Jungkook's but it was still different.
"We're here." Namjoon told her.
She looked at her surroundings as she got out of the car. The house was big. It was a mansion.
They walked up some steps and stood behind the door. Jungkook stood beside her, she get his eyes on her.
The door opened and a girl with bright red hair appeared.
"Hi boys, is this Nari?" the girl, Hye asked.
Taehyung nodded, "Yes, please help her get ready."
Hye pulled the girl in and the boys followed inside. She saw them settle on the couch and turned to Hye.
She had the bag on her hand as they ran up the stairs. She opened the door and dragged Nari inside her room.
"Okay," she closed the door, "Lets begin."
The makeup organizer was placed on the counter and Nari sat on the bed. Hye adjusted the cream on her hand before applying it to her face.
"This is a rare first meeting, huh?" she joked.
Nari smiled, "Yeah."
"Well," Hye snickered, "I forgot that we had to put on your dress first." she admitted.
Right.
They both giggled before Hye handed her the dress with the shoes.
"The bathroom is over there, call me if you need any help." she motioned to the door in front of the bed.
Nari nodded before going inside and locking the door. She took a deep breath as she began to dress herself. Her heart sped rapidly at the thought of what she'd be doing tonight.
Nari would be the person who almost traumatized her. This was so wrong.
But the money, the financial help she'd always want to provide would be near.
The dress fit on her perfectly. The curves on her body were noticeable from a far. Her legs were uncovered since the dress was until her thigh right above the knee.
She hated this dress.
I look like a potato.
"Are you done?" Hye asked from the other side of the door.
Nari put on the Louis Vuittons and stepped out.
She saw Hye smirk.
"He's going to love you even more now." she mumbled.
He?
"What?"
"Nothing, come here lets finish your makeup." Hye responded as she pulled her to sit down on the bed.
"Hurry up, babe!" she heard Namjoon's voice from a far.
"We're almost done!" Hye exclaimed back.
Nari hadn't noticed but she was also dressed. At least she'd not be alone.
"You go to the prep?" she asked.
Nari nodded as she was applying lipstick to her lips. She couldn't talk.
Hye closed the tap and told her to close her eyes, "I used to go there, that's how I met them." she applied the setting spray.
Nari opened her eyes as she felt Hye play with her hair.
Hye huffed as she looked at her watch.
"I'll just," she took out the hair clip, "brush your hair and then we'll leave."
And so they did. Hye brushed her hair rapidly then clapped.
"We are done. Come on!" she pulled her outside not after grabbing her purse and lending Nari one of hers.
Her feet waddled. She wasn't used to high heels at all.
They ran down the stairs. Miraculously, both girls did not fall.
"What do you guys think?" Hye asked the boys.
Nari had her head down. She could feel the stares on her body. That made her even more nervous.
She felt herself twirling since Hye had held her hand.
"You look beautiful." Taehyung said.
She lifted her gaze and watched the boys' reaction.
Namjoon just smiled.
Hoseok smirked.
Jin and Yoongi nodded.
Taehyung also smirked.
Jimin whistled.
But Jungkook...
She saw his expression change from the minute his eyes caught her. He looked at her differently.
It was just her and him, she felt as if everybody else had disappeared. No one was there. He could send her into a river of emotions in seconds.
She had these feelings again.
Those feelings she despised ever since that day when her heart was broken into pieces. That day when those pieces were stepped on without no care in the world.
She had fallen for him and there was no turning back.
