ELEVEN

It was Sunday morning, surprisingly it was warm. Her room was clean as usual. Nari was a very organized girl unlike her sister. If you entered Ara's room you could get lost inside the mess that she called her room.

The girl tossed and turned on her bed. Her eyes scanned the clock, '7:00am'. She was so used to getting up early for school that she woke up at this time on the weekends, out of habit.

Nari stretched her arms up in the air. As she let out a small yawn her phone vibrated against her night table.

Who was calling her at this time, on a Sunday?

She reached for her phone and answered the call without looking at the caller I.D.

"What?"

"Woah, rise and shine. Let's hang out!"

"Eun-"

"This will be our first time hanging out as friends. Please, Ari."

"Fine."

"Yes! We are going to get some coffee and then buy some stuff."

"I'll text you the address."

"Okay see you."

The call had ended and she groaned. She appreciated her friend a lot but she was a bit grumpy in the mornings.

Her feet touched the cold ground which made her shiver. As she walked to her bathroom her mind replayed everything about last night. Why did she have to agree? She hated herself for doing so.

She was so stupid. Her heart won over her mind, so stupid.

Cold water splashed on her face and it woke her up. Her reflection startled her. Her cheeks were reddened and her face displayed pure confusion.

After a few minutes she had dressed herself. As she strode down the stairs she set eyes on her mother and her little sister.

Ara was sitting down on the couch with the brightness of her phone. It illuminated her face so she could see her sleepy eyes.

On the other hand, her mother was opening an envelope. The bills were scattered on the kitchen island but her mother had a smile on her face. The girl walked toward where her mother stood and placed a hand on her shoulder.

Her mother showed her a check and giggled, "Our first check!"

Nari read the check off her mother's fingers and her eyes opened. From what she knew, that amount could help her mother pay the bills for the rest of the month.

"What?!" she screamed and hugged her mother tightly as they jumped in excitement.

She didn't have to worry anymore. That is, for this month.

Nari noticed that her little sister didn't even pay attention. Instead, the girl was still on her phone as she smiled at something.

"She's been watching pictures of some boys in your class." her mother mumbled as she cleaned up the kitchen island.

Some boys in my class?

As a big sister usually does, she dashed to the sofa and took Ara's phone. The screams of the preteen were mixed with the stomps of Nari's feet around the house.

She ran to her room and locked her door before sitting on the bed.

What guys from my class is she crushing on?

"Nari, I'm going to kill you!" Ara shouted and hit the door several times with her fist.

She chuckled as she unlocked her phone, "Yeah, whatever."

Her lockscreen was just pink and her apps were a mess. A notification popped up signaling that she had received a message.

    From: Sana
He looks so cute just look at him :(

    From: Sana
He just posted that on instagram btw...

Her jaw dropped. It couldn't be, this cannot be real.

She kept scrolling upward to the conversation and read all the texts.

   To: Sana
I just wish that I'd be the same age as Nari, maybe we could be together.

    From: Sana
You are 15 and he is 17, which is a two year difference...that's nothing, okay? Just go for it! Try to grab his attention.

   To: Sana
Two years is a big age gap, Sana.

   From: Sana
Age doesn't matter if it's true love.

From: Sana
You better get him before anyone else does, bub.

From: Sana
If you guys get to be a couple you'd be my otp, I mean just imagine 'the fashion couple' I CAN'T. JUST LOOK AT HIM, ARA.

Okay that is it, she couldn't take it anymore. She locked her sister's phone and sighed. Jimin?! Out of all people it had to be him?

Nari dropped her sister's phone in shock. The universe wasn't on her side.

The phone was on her hand as she gripped it tightly. She opened the door. Once she did, she found her little sister with her hands on her face as she let out a frustrated groan.

"We need to talk." Nari said and Ara jumped, startled.

"Jesus Chri-"

She handed her the phone and stood with her hands on her hips, "After I get back we will talk, okay?"

Ara stood in shock and nodded rapidly.

Nari smiled, "Now if you excuse me, I'm going to eat breakfast."

She walked downstairs and served herself some cereal. Even though she lost her appetite, she still ate something to keep herself awake.

This cannot be happening. Her little sister, who is fifteen, likes Jimin. Jimin who is part of bangtan, who could damage Ara's innocence.

She wasn't going to let that happen. Her little sister is pure and she wasn't going to let some boy change that. Nari would protect her sister with her life if it was necessary. She'd do anything for her without hesitating.

                             -

"Jimin?!" her friends exclaimed. Eun almost choked on her iced tea and Hyuk hung his mouth wide open.

"I am just as shocked as you are." Nari admitted.

Her friends sat down with her at their town's coffee shop. Their beverages had turned cold ever since they began their talk. Nari needed to speak what she had learned with someone, so she took this as her chance to tell them.

Hyuk was still shocked and she noticed, "Ara likes Park Jimin?"

The girl nodded and he groaned.

"First it's you being Jungkook's fake girlfriend and now your little sister likes Jimin." he said as he drank his coffee.

Nari shook her head, "I didn't have a choice." she mumbled.

"Technically, you did." Eun responded.

"I-"

"You could've slapped him and walked away, but you agreed and stayed." Hyuk had finished his drink so he crossed his hands on the table.

"It's complicated." she admitted.

And indeed it was. He had saved her from something even worse. Nobody knew that side of the story. As usual, they just kept repeating the part about her being his girlfriend.

The only people that she had explained were Eun and Hyuk. They, along with bangtan, were the only ones who knew the truth behind her deal with Jungkook. She was just his fake girlfriend, nothing more.

Eun cleared her throats and stood up, "Let's go shopping, we'll finish this talk later."

And so they did go shopping. After ten stores and nine bags, they had sat down outside the mall. Both girls were content but Hyuk was dying in boredom. It was a bad idea, most boys aren't fond of shopping.

"We just bought a month worth of clothes." Nari said as she complemented on the amount of clothing that was inside the bags.

Actually, Eun insisted on buying her clothes. She had told her that it was a way of welcoming her to Busan.

"Yes we did." Eun smiled as she stood up.

Oh right, her chauffeur had arrived. That's right, personal chauffeur.

Turns out that Eun's father was the owner of a famous meat company in Korea. Which meant that she was also wealthy and used things like a special chofer to go around town.

She had agreed to drive them to their houses.

Once they were situated inside the car with their bags on the trunk, Nari rested her head on Hyuk's shoulder. She loves shopping but sometimes it was tiring.

"I still cannot believe that you agreed." he said as he looked to the front.

She sighed, "I told you, it's complicated."

"That's what they all say." he mumbled.

Eun chuckled, "Leave her alone, she'll explain when she's ready."

After a while of them chatting normally, Nari's phone rang loudly. It blared through the car startling everyone.

She answered quickly.

"Hello."

"I missed your voice, princess."

Great. It just had to be him.

"Who is it?" Eun asked her and Hyuk just stared in confusion.

"Tell them."

"I-"

"If it's Jungkook, I will locate him and punch him in the face." Hyuk pointed his finger at her.

"Oh look, he got it right."

"I'll call you later."

She hung up and looked at her friends. Eun just stared at her normally while Hyuk was shooting daggers through his eyes. He was mad.

"You are getting into dangerous waters and once you get in; there is no way out." he said as he crossed his hands over his chest.

He was saying the truth, unbeknownst to himself. Nari felt it inside her mind. She had gotten herself into a lethal game that she would've never played; until now.
