"Aish!" Jungkook hissed as the cotton dipped in medicine touched his face.

The party had continued after the incident. The boys just defended her, she couldn't believe it. Jungkook defended her.

Nari rolled her eyes and continued patting his injury, "If you don't stay still, it will hurt even more."

They were inside the bathroom, Jungkook was seated on the toilet. Meanwhile Nari had crouched down beside him to treat his scar.

"I can't stand still because it hurts!" he complained as he looked at the wall, Nari had noticed that the scar was small. What meant more to her was his intentions.

He didn't have to say that she was his girlfriend, there was no need to; but he did.

She sighed, "You didn't have to do that."

The boy chuckled, "He was about to–"

"But he didn't." she said as she put everything back inside the first aid kit.

"Because I stopped him." She felt him stand up.

Her shoulders slumped, she had feared for her life twice now. This time, the people who almost killed her saved her. Her hands gripped the faucet as her knuckles were turning white.

"Thank you." she mumbled, looking down as her hair hid the tear that fell from her eyes.

His hand came up to her shoulder, she felt herself give in to his touch. Who knew that one touch could take her away, free her mind of everything.

"It's okay to cry." he said as he squeezed her shoulder.

She looked at him, somewhere inside she knew she could trust him.

"I was so scared, Jungkook." she said as she let out a sob.

The boy immediately caged her body in a hug. She felt herself lean onto his chest as she let her warm tears flow.

"I don't like seeing you cry." he whispered as he rubbed her back as a sign of support.

"I'm sorry." she mumbled as she tried to pull away, instead he drew her even closer to him.

He let out a sigh, "Don't be. When I see that kid at the prep, I'll give him a lesson." he cupped her face.

When did he ever become this affectionate?

His embrace made her feel safe, loved, appreciated. It was like nothing that she had ever experienced.

"No. No more fighting." she said as she escaped from him, wiping her tears.

He smirked, his hands were crossed on his chest as he leaned against the wall, "Not with fighting," he got closer to her, "I'll show you off as my girlfriend."

She chuckled wiping her tears in the process, looking up at him. He was close but still kept a small distance.

"Fake girlfriend." she answered.

She thought she saw his expression change into a saddened one. He looked disappointed by what she said.

"Yeah, fake girlfriend." he chuckled and opened the door.

She furrowed her eyebrows as she saw that he just stood by the open door with his hand reaching out to her.

"Aren't you leaving?" she asked.

"I'm taking you home but since you are my girlfriend, we can hold hands." he said as he was trying to say 'follow my lead' with his eyes.

Wasn't it beginning on Monday?

She carefully reached for his hands and intertwined hers with his large calloused hand. His hands were surprisingly warm. They felt as if they were made just to hold hers.

Nari saw Jungkook smile and he pulled her out of the bathroom with their hands together.

"Let's go find Taehyung." he kept walking through the halls of his house.

When they had finally found him, he was drinking at the kitchen while he talked to a girl. The girl kept twirling a piece of her hair on her finger as she looked at Taehyung with those lovey eyes.

Disgusting.

"Tae, I'm leaving the party to you," Jungkook said to him still holding her hand, "you are in charge, I'll be back."

Taehyung nodded and smiled at Nari as they left. The two of them ran to the door.

Jungkook kept looking at his watch. He furrowed his eyes as they kept running.

"Why are we running?" she asked as they stepped into the cold air.

The boy laughed, "Because we just missed the bus."

Her eyes opened and she hit Jungkook on the shoulder, "How am I going to get home?" she exclaimed.

"Okay, you didn't have to hit me," he said, "and you will get home with my car."

A car, isn't he 17?

"You have a car?" she asked him.

"Yes." he said as they walked to a black Mercedes parked at the front of the house.

Nari furrowed her eyebrows, "You know, you are supposed to drive when you are eighteen." she stated as he opened the door for her and she got in.

The people outside were staring, nobody had forgotten about the fight.

She kept her gaze on the window. Some people were too drunk to care, others just kept gossiping as they watched Jungkook get in.

"I have my connections." he put the key and the car roared to life.

They kept a comfortable silence as he drove. She felt him glance at her more than once, it made her even more nervous.

"So, your looking for a job?" he asked after the long silence.

The girl nodded, "Yes."

"Hmm." he kept his eyes on the road as he talked to her.

After a prolonged silence he finally spoke up.

"Where do you live?" he asked as they had stopped at a red light.

She had forgotten to give him her address. After that she gave him the address and he drove wherever she told him to go, following her directions.

"And turn left here." Nari said as they arrived at her house.

The car stopped in front of the house. She was about to get out when she felt Jungkook's hand hold her wrist softly.

She turned to him and found him smiling at her, "Tomorrow I'll pick you up at 6."

"Okay," she smiled, "thank you for, you know–"

He nodded and put his hand on her cheek, startling her, "Be careful, I need you tomorrow."

Nari's face turned into crimson red. She tried to hide it but she was pretty sure he saw her by his expression.

"G-good night!" she stuttered as she took her backpack with her.

She got out of the car as she let out a breath she had no idea she held. As she walked to the door and got herself inside she heard the car leave.

What did you just do, Nari?

She had no idea on what she had agreed on. From this moment on, her life would be changed. Her life wouldn't be the same.

She wouldn't be the same girl who arrived to Busan.
