Maddi's Pov

I sit at the paino and just pluck notes. Andor's not been ok. Despite Tom's honest apology. He's stopped eating again, he writes about death, and he's constantly apologizing to me. Not sure why but I can't get him to stop. Andor slides next to me and picks up on the lowish notes.

*Justice's Pov*

I sit and listen to Andor and Maddi's duet. Its beautiful they way they can synchronize with each other. Jordan made a mistake, and I'm sure he's soon gonna realize it. As the duet goes on it seems as if Andor's fighting with Maddi to keep the piece lighthearted. They sound amazing but as the deep notes get harder and the light notes get softer I'm realizing its the bond between Jordan and Andor. Maddi playing the before hand and Andor playing what its led up to. Maddi takes over at the end and giggles when her hands release the keys. As much as I hate Maddi I love to see her affect on Andor.

"It's been years since we've played together." She says smiling at him. Andor doesn't smile back, he frowns.

*Andor's Pov*

"Maddi if something happens to me, I want you to lead this rebellion. Don't let Jordan or anyone else tell you different. I'm so proud of your sucess. I remeber you singing in church about Mianite and now the transition to what life's become is amazing. You're amazing." I start to break down. This is my last day with Maddi, I want to make sure she knows how much I care.

"Don't cry." She says hugging me. I hold her and let myself break down.

"You're gonna keep fighting. Don't let what happens to me differ that. Love you princess." I say, I feel myself start to tremble.

"All this between me and Jordan was enviable. I'm scared that when I go he's gonna take that anger he has for me out on you. Its not him. Fear sometimes does weird things to people. Jordan's going through a stage where he's letting that fear get to him. But even if I'm not here, I'll always be..." I pause and pull away from Maddi. She too is crying. I put my pointer finger where Maddi's heart is.

"I'll always be here. Always."

"Always." Maddi sobs and I take her in my arms again. I can almost hear the sound of Jordan mocking me. But I don't care.

"I think I'll hold a speech today. By the square. Syndicate you are welcome to watch." I say pulling away from Maddi.

Time Skip

Slowly, one by one, people start to pile in. No one wants to miss this.

"That's everybody Andor." Terryn says and I shake his hand.

"Thanks." I whisper and he joins Justice in the front. Jordan and Tom are also in the front, but that's besides the fact. I also see a ball of blue light shoot up and I know its Wag. Maddi must be with him. At least I know she's safe.

"I have herd the greatest persuasion is nothing more than telling the truth."

"So I speak in the voice given to me by my mother, Eleanor. I make no grand overtones or guttural whispers for dramatic effect." I pause,

"I am only Andor. My voice trembles." I speak as strongly as I can. I need to be an example for Maddi.

"I've come to ask my father a question." After I say this is occurs to me the fact no one is listening.

"Excuse me!"

"What question?!" Tucker yells and I see Sonja, his girlfriend, slap him.

"Will you listen?!" I pause after being sure you could hear a pin drop in the town.

"Father, I know you're listening too." I slide my jacket off and let it fall to the ground. Everyone gasps at the sight of my wings.

"Prince Andor!" Al yells, but I do what's best and ignore him.

"Haven't you noticed?" I ask to the back of the square, where Dad and Terryn sit.

"Do these wings look like a product of frivolous magic?"

"No, they're pretty cool." Jordan yells trying to make my job harder.

"Whom do you suppose the statue at the front of the bridge represents?" No one dares answer my question.

"Not Mianite." I say harshly and there's a gasp that seems to echo throughout the town.

"DIANITE!?!?!?" Tom yells which causes a chain reaction.

"WAGLINGTON?" Wag yells and I almost start laughing but I keep it together. I look at Jordan and he knows I want him to answer.

"IANITEEEEEEEEEEE" He yells and everyone shuts up.

"I am a Acolyte of the Wounded Goddess. I always have been."

"WE worship Ianite." I let the we ring out and it echoes through the town.

"I have found evidence of a rebellion against Mianite!" Al yells panicking,

"I will have to arrest you!" The broadcast system decides it wants to jolt in as well! This may as well be a family reunion!

[BROADCAST] Each syllable from Andor's mouth emits a focused gust of wind....

"For leading this rebellion!" Al picks back up.

"Andor!!!!!!" Dad yells as if he actually cares if I get arrested or not. Hell, the only thing I have to lose is Maddi.

[BROADCAST] Which halts Alister's advice, despite his best efforts to subdue the awakening Acolyte....

"While you have governed this trade city and allocated its resources to the glorification of....." I get interrupted by dad.

"You no longer hold a place in the town." He spats at me, like his words could ever hurt me more than Jordan's actions.

"During my time away, the truth of one true holy god has only become clearer." He finishes.

"The one true god, I have been chiseling Ianite's likeness into your stones and penning her mantras into your paper."

"Her teachings have been with me all these years, guiding me toward a day of unity..." I let my voice die down. Al is struggling to get to me, and I look out to see Wag's face stern. I owe my life to him at the moment.

"You will never....!' Al yells breathlessly.

"While you have winced at the thought of hope and stomped over the corpses of the lost." I'm speaking to Dad as if I'm having a normal conversation. I've gotta make it look easy.

"Lieutenant, sieze Andor and take him to our holy master." Dad orders,

"If you had but journeyed with me!" I yell to dad.

"I....am....trying!" Al yells still struggling against Wag's magic.

"Wait..." Tucker's clearly lost, but I'm not stopping for him.

"What are you doing with Andor?" Tucker asks sounding concerned. He and I were once good friends. Now not so much.

"I am at the threshold. Soon Ianite will rise!" I yell once again getting a gasp out of certain people.

"And Eleanor and Prim's sports with her." I say in honor of my mother and sister. Tucker steps between me and Al only to get shoved aside by Al.

"I hear you father. I hear your anger." I say as calmly as I can. Jordan's hands are now covering his mouth, he's realized what I'm doing.

"ENLUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!" Dad yells causing me to jump.

"Do what you will with me." I say looking down. I'd do anything for Jordan to raise my chin and kiss me right now. But that's a hopeless dream.

"Do....not....stand...in..my..waY!" Al yells at Tucker. Only to have Wag teleport him back a bit.

"But first know this." I pause and Justice jumps in,

"SPARKLEZ IS IANITE TOO! BANISH HIM!" Everyone seems to ignore her. Jordan now has tears running down his face. Its hard to not let mine do the same.

"If your god is just and blameless, with flawless integrity, fear not, your battle is already won." I say now speaking to everyone.

"But if there is the smallest fracture in Mianite's armor. Then the credence will widen, the shell will corrode, and Mianite's sins and yours will seap through."

"Everything you have built will be wiped clean in preporation for Dagrun and Ruxomar's rebirth." I look at Justice who is now sobbing. I hate seeing her cry.

"I do not know why you begrudge Ianite for our family's death, or why you hide your wounds." I now look back at Dad and Terryn.

"But I do know healing is available to you." I say hoping Dad will take my offer. Even though I know he won't.

"Its the greatest gift anyone can receive!" I can hear the fascination in my own tone.

"Greater than a shield."

"Andor!" Al yells and I start to sweat. This is it, this is the end of the line for me.

"Greater than a perfect made-up world. If it is your wish, see your dream to an end." I let the anger flood back into my tone.

"Do everything in your power to create the world you crave." I shout at Dad and Terryn.

"I raise no sword. I wear no armor." I say now looking at Lieutenant.

"I have only this boomerang." I pause to pull out th boomerang Jordan gave me.

"Which a true friend gave me."

"This is quite the speech!" Tucker yells once again from the back.

"Want to throw it? Just like old times with Mom." I say to Al.

"I INVITE YOU!" I yell as forcefully as I can manage.

[BROADCAST] The wind subsides. Andor collapses from exhaustion......

"Lieutenant, end this nonsence and size Andor." Dad says my name like he says Tom's.

"You are under arrest! You have no chance. Just come with me." Al begs but I can't give up. Not on Dad, not on Jordan, and not on this rebellion. I refuse to give up. Al shoves me down sending me flying backwards. I never told Maddi to get the song out! She won't unless I instruct her to! Al's rapier is pressed lightly against my neck.

"RELEASE IT!" I yell as Al's rapier pushes a rad bit harder.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Justice yells and I see her get my dad's rapier held to her neck.

"Are you coming to the tree?" She whispers only seconds before unconsciousness surrounds me.
