*Maddi's Pov*

I sit at my window and stare at the full moon. Jasper and I used to do this all the time. I open my window and step out onto the roof. I lay back and stare at the sky. A little bat flies over and lands beside me. I reach over and gently stroke its tiny head. I start humming the chorus to "Impossible" And soon I'm singing along to the song in my head. I sang this at church many many times. Helgrind loved it, probably because it reminded him of Eleanor. The little bat leaves. I feel warm tears stinging their way down my face. I've cried more these past few months than I did my entire life. I HATE crying! Its just another way for people to see me as this weak orphan. I hear a noise in my room and turn to see Blaze.

"What are you doing here?" I ask and he sits next to me.

"I needed to clear my head."

"Of what?" I ask gently his stern voice sending chills down my spine.

"Its nothing you should be concerned about. You have a beautiful....." a tear slips from my eye before I can wipe it.

"You're crying!" Blaze says and I quickly look away.

"No umm.. I'm not."

"Maddi don't lie. Its okay to cry. Its a natural thing." I look back at him and he's wearing a goofy grin.

"You're missing him. Aren't you." Blaze says and I'm assuming he's meaning Andor.

"You don't even know. Wag and everyone else are wasting more and more time everyday. We need to get going with this before Helgrind kills him." My voice cracks and I reach to wipe my tear, but Blaze does.

"What can I do to help? I'll do anything." He says placing his hand gently on my cheek.

"We need to...." I can't go telling this stranger I just met our plans! Who says he's even to trust!

"Maddi, I'm like Wag. I don't have a god. I don't fit in anywhere. If anything I'm only here to help you."

"We need into the Broadcast system."

"Really? That's it? I can do that easily!" I feel myself frown. I'm not sure why, I guess I'm just nervous.

"What's wrong? Aren't you happy?" Blaze asks pulling me closer to him.

"I guess I'm just scared. I don't know what to expect once we get him back. God knows the things Helgrind's done to him." I say letting myself lay on Blake's chest.

Time Skip

"WHAT THE HELL MADDI!" Jordan yells not even bothering to give Blaze a chance to talk.

"Jordan calm down." I plead he should want Blaze to help. Wag just sits and stares Blaze down.

"Madelyn do you know what you could've done. If he wasn't like me you could've gotten us all killed." Wag says gently carful of my feelings.

"I told her before she told me anything." Blaze says and Jordan rolls his eyes.

"We told you we were working on it! And of course you go against us!" Blaze shoves me behind him and yells,

"Yell at her again and you won't live to see the sunset." This time its Wag pulling me beside him.

"We know what you are." Tom snaps standing up for Jordan.

"And what is that?" Blaze asks smartelicly.

"Leave demon." Is all Wag says, and its enough to break my heart. Jasper used to say when dad went out he was fighting demons. But he never went as far as to tell me what demons were.

"What." I whisper and Wag grips my hand.

"Uhh Maddi you still want my help or not?" Blaze asks.

"Yes umm I do! Lets just act like this never happened and start planning.

*Two days later*

*Andor's Pov*

The broadcast system is constantly talking about rebellious attacks in the castle and church. But in the back ground I can hear people chanting

"We are like dominoes"

That's when it happens the system jots to Jordan talking.

"This is Jordan Maron reporting from your princes bedroom. Maddi?" There's a seconds pause before Maddi starts singing. She's stronger than ever before. Dad and his team come in with both needles and weapons. I can't die now! I have to survive this! I WILL survive this.
