Sooo yeah , it's a short fic . In my mind it was supposed to take about fourty chapters but actualy writing it was much much muuuuch shorter than I wanted . But I quite like the outcome , and I hope you guys liked it aswell .

-Two Months Later-

Harry woke up in the middle of the night , looking at his clock ; five a.m . He sighed and rolled over , figuring he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep very easily . His mind drifted to the small , soft boy he's been dating for three months , before getting out of bed and making his way down to the boys' room .

He walked in quietly , biting his lip softly at the sight of Louis sleeping adorably in his bed . The bed was small but he insisted on fitting himself in , he lifted the covers up and tucked himself in against Louis' back , large arms hugging his small waist as he snuggled into his neck .

Louis' eyes opened at the feeling of someone in bed with him , he was about to flip before the scent of Harry's shampoo reached his nose , calming him down . "You scared me ."

"Sorry . Wanted to snuggle , couldn't sleep ." Harry whispered into his neck , making him giggle softly at the ticklish feeling .

"This bed is small Hazza , we barely fit in ." Louis whispered , Harry only hummed , "I'm too comfy to move ."

"Please tell me you two aren't doing anything dirty ." Liam groaned from his bed , and Louis couldn't control his laughter , muffling it into the pillow .

Harry lifted his face from Louis' neck , "Shut it Payno , we're snuggling ."

"All of you shut the hell up , I'm trying to sleep ." Niall grabbed his pillow and carelessly tossed it away , only for it to reach Louis and Harry's heads . Harry  threw the pillow back at him and pressed his face into Louis' neck , Louis smiled and wrapped Harry's arms tighter around himself .

The room was silent for fewer more seconds before Louis' whispery giggles pierced the silence , "Haz stop ."

Liam put his pillow over his head , though still heard their giggling . He groaned sat up on his bed , "Could you guys please be quiet ? I'm exhausted and we have to go to work tomorrow ."

"I'm sorry Li , but Harry is tickling me and being annoying ." Louis said but got up from the bed , making Harry groan and reach his arms out for him . Louis took his hand , "Let's go up to your room to sleep , we're disturbing everyone here ."

Harry groaned into the pillow and didn't move , Louis pulled at Harry's hand gently , "Come on up ."

Harry lazily pulled himself up from the bed , he wrapped his arms around Louis and let himself be pulled up to his room . He tightened his grip around Louis' waist from behind and fell on his side on the bed , pulling Louis with him .

Louis laughed again as Harry tickled him once again , sliding off the bed to the floor . Harry chuckled and sat up , offering his hand for him to get up . Louis got up and pushed Harry on his back , sitting on his stomach and ruffling his hair all over . 

Harry grabbed his hips and flipped them around , Louis giggled and pushed Harry away when he leaned into his neck , knowing he aimed for a raspberry .

"I'm tired ." Louis sighed , Harry kissed his cheek and moved the covers back , bringing them both under the warm blankets .

Louis , Mary and Jenna were busy waitressing in Paul's coffee shop , while Liam , Niall and Harry were working at Paul's bakery across the street .

Ellianne walked into the coffee shop , Jenna's eyes lit evidently as she speed-walked towards her , wrapping her arms around her in a hug . Ellianne grinned and squeezed her , pressing a kiss to her head , "You doing good ?"

Jenna nodded and looked up at her , they shared a shy peck on the lips before pulling back slightly . Ellianne waved over to Louis and Mary , who smiled and waved back .

"They're cute ." Mary said , Louis smiled , "Yeah . What about you ? Met anyone ?"

"No , not really ." She shook her head .

"Saw you and Zayn talking the other day . You two seem comfortable with each other ."

Mary let out a laugh and shook her head quickly , "No , Zayn and I are just friends . Besides , he's into Liam ."

"Ooh , that's some good news ." Louis giggled , "Should we set them up ?"

"Already on it ." Mary wiggled her eyebrows before looking at the clock , "We have twenty minutes before our shift ends , we can go over to the bakery if you're not too tired ."

"I am a bit tired , though I want to say hi to Harry , we haven't seen each other all day ."

"Niall told me you were being dirty in the boys' room last night ." 

Louis rolled his eyes , "It's Niall , since when do you believe him when it comes to dirty stuff ?"

"Never ."

"Exactly . Harry was just being annoying and tickled me , that's all ."

"If anyone annoyed and tickled me as much as Harry does to you , I'd punch them a long time ago ."

Louis laughed , "Well I can't really punch anyone , and playful Harry is one of my favourite Harry's ."

At the end of their shift they locked up the store and went over to the bakery , greeting the three boys , who were there with Paul .

"How was work today ?" Paul asked as Louis , Mary , Jenna and Ellianne joined him at one of the tables .

"It was alright , someone tried hitting on Louis and the poor lad didn't know what to say ." Mary laughed , Louis rolled his eyes , "He was being a bit ridiculous though ."

"Who was ridiculous ? Are you talking about me ?" Harry walked out from the back , leaning down to peck Louis' cheek .

"Not you this time , we were talking about the guy trying to flirt with Louis and Louis wasn't even aware but kept turning him down , that was funny ." Mary said , not knowing she just activated protective-possessive Harry .

Harry raised his eyebrows and looked down to Louis , "Who's the lad ?"

"I don't know him , he just - he asked me some questions and I answered truthfully . I don't really get all the flirting thing though ."

"What did he ask ?"

"Asked for my name and if I wanted to go to a party with him . I said I don't like parties and that I already have plans with you , after I told him about you he just walked away ."

"Good ." Harry said , his expression still hard . Louis looked up at him and giggled , "Are you jealous ?"

"No ."

Louis giggled again with blush covering his cheeks , he was very flattered . He took Harry's hand , which was covered in flour , "You're cute when you're jealous ."

Harry leaned down and kissed his lips , Louis smiled but pulled back , feeling shy kissing around everyone . Though Harry chased his lips , Louis turned his head away , "Not now ."

Harry grumbled playfully and pecked his cheek , Paul stood up from his seat , "Alright , let's lock up the store and go back home . It's been a long day for all of us ."

"We'll be heading back now , see you at home ." Mary stood up with Louis , Jenna and Ellianne , the four waved goodbye and left the bakery , going back to the orphanage .

Louis was half asleep in his bed , when he felt someone picking him up bridal style . He whined , already knowing who it was .

"Put me down ." Louis squirmed in his arms , Harry chuckled , "I'm taking you up to my room , want to kiss you before bedtime . Don't want the others to complain about us ."

Louis hummed and snuggled into his chest , Harry kissed his forehead and walked into the room , kicking the door closed . He placed Louis on the bed and got in next to him , kissing around his face softly .

"You're cute ." He smiled down at Louis when he let out a giggle , Louis booped his nose , "I want to stay up with you but I'm tired ."

Harry nodded and pressed their lips together , Louis closed his eyes and let Harry kiss him as he slowly felt himself falling asleep .

Harry woke up in the middle of the night to Louis shaking next to him in his sleep , he turned a bit to see his body shaking , tears streaming down his face . He quickly sat up and shook him , knowing that he's been having nightmares at some nights since the whole incident .

"Lou , wake up . Wake up ." He shook his shoulders , moving his head side to side gently . Louis' eyes snapped open and he jumped up from the bed , his hands brushing over his clothes as if to wipe off the dirt as he panted heavily .

Harry got up after him and wrapped his arms around him , "You're okay love , it was just a dream . You were dreaming , he can't hurt you anymore , I won't let him hurt any of you anymore ."

Louis sniffled and lifted his shirt a bit , sighing out when he saw he has no bruises . He slowly calmed down , Harry sat on the bed and brought him into his lap , kissing his cheek , "You're okay ."

Louis nodded and let Harry wipe his tears away , "I'm s-sorry ."

"Don't be , it's one hundred percent okay and understandable ." Harry rubbed his back , Louis swallowed thickly , "I don't want to go back to sleep ."

"You'll be exhausted in the morning if you don't sleep ." Harry reasoned but Louis shook his head , "N-no , that nightmare was too real . I'm not going back to sleep ."

Harry nodded , knowing he's too tired and would fall asleep eventually . "Okay . Let's just cuddle , then ?"

Louis nodded and got up from his lap , they got under the covers and cuddled up to each other . Harry rubbed his back up and down , kissing his forehead and cheek . He saw he's trying to fight sleep but eventually let it take over him , he pressed one last peck to his nose and fell asleep right after him .

Anne came over on Sunday morning , laying two picnic blankets out in the backyard with loads of food and snacks ready for the kids . She took it upon herself to turn the backyard into a place the kids could have fun at , not the dark place they see it as . She's been seeding flowers and trees , growing out the grass .

She invited all the kids outside along with Zayn and Ellianne , also bringing a ball and frisbee plate . The kids slowly strolled outside , smiling at the spot she made for them .

Louis was still nervous about coming to the backyard , so Harry kept close to him , making sure he's as comfortable as possible .

Harry brought Louis to sit between his legs on the blanket , he kissed his cheek , "You doing okay ?"

"Yeah , just - I just ." Louis sighed . "I still have a bad feeling coming out here ."

Harry nodded and leaned his chin on his shoulder , "I understand ." He wrapped his arms around his waist .

They watched the kids playing around the backyard with the football , laughing and joking around . Mary was laying on her back on the blanket enjoying the sun , Ellianne and Jenna were being cute sharing fruit and kissing .

Harry turned his head a bit to look at Louis , pouting when he saw his lip between his teeth . He brought him a bit closer sideways and kissed his cheek longingly , rocking them side to side . Louis smiled softly and melted into his chest , letting out a soft squeak when he was pushed down to the ground on his back .

"Nooo !" Louis laughed out when Harry started tickling him , Harry laughed along and stopped , pressing their lips together .

Out of nowhere a body landed on them , and another one , and another one , until they were trapped under everyone . Louis was laughing as he tried squirming away , Harry grinned watching his small boyfriend being so happy .

After everyone got off Harry made sure Louis wasn't hurt , Louis smiled at him and pulled him down , pecking his lips shyly , "I'm all good ."

Harry smiled softly and kissed him again , none of the two aware of Anne secretly taking pictures of them .

At the end of the day , life is good . Sure , they've been through a lot , but the thing that matters most is that at the end of the day you have people to count on , people who care for you , people who love you and support you .

After living most of their lives with no one to love them , support them , care for them - moments like this were what gave them the strengh to keep going . Having someone to truly care for them is all they need , and even better than they would expect .

They're all grateful for Paul and Anne , feeling like without them life would be completely different . And who knows what would have happened ? But for now they look forward to the future , their better future .
