Noisy Neighbours Chpt. 2

19 Years Later...

I woke up to sounds of chattering.
Let me tell you one thing: where I live, chattering is not normal. I live in the forest, all alone. So you can see where I'm coming from.
I groaned in tiredness and frustration, trying to get up. "I just hunted yesterday, I just hunted yesterday..," I muttered. "Today, I'm not suppose to wake up early..."
I plopped back on my stomach, staring at my pillow, focusing on the chattering that seemed to be coming from a distance. I waited and waited for the people, whoever they were, to shut up, but they wouldn't.
"Cinq...quarte...trois...deux..." I began counting in my native language. Five...four...three...two...
The cacophony continued.
"...un..." ...one...
It didn't cease.
"...zéro." ...zero.
Someone let out a loud whoop.
"Tu es foutu." You are screwed.
With all my energy, I threw myself out of bed and began to undress.
I walked over to my small, dark closet, where my day clothes were hanging. "Hm..." I scratched my head, trying to think with the noise. "Belt." I grabbed my belt and buckled it around me. "Oh shoot, I need my pants." I slapped my forehead and pulled out a pair of long, khaki pants. I unbuckled my belt, pulled the pants over my legs, then buckled my belt. "That's better. These people are making me lose my mind! I can't even change properly." I threw a white shirt over me.
I charged out of my room, and pulled on my boots quickly.
I straightened up. "One last thing..."
I backed up to my room and grabbed my most important object to me: my gun. No, no, I was not planning to kill anyone, it's just for protection and hunting, because I do live in a forest.
I exited my bedroom, fast-walked through the main room and over to the front door. I opened the front door and in front of me was the nice and beautiful day I was blessed with.
The soft, clear air calmed me and the birds sang their song. The grass glistened with dew and the trees, about a few good yards away from me, filtered the sun rays so that I wouldn't get to much sun.
I sighed. "I love it here."
Then, loud music blasted through the forest, scaring the birds and other land animals.
"Right...can't forget..." I stormed across my wooden porch and down the stairs and began to walk into the forest, following the modern music.
The trees made the walk dark and cool, but that didn't drown my confidence, since I knew my way around.
After a few minutes of sauntering determinedly, I came to the end of the area of many trees and was halted by a cliff. The music was very loud now, along with the talking.
"It seems to be coming from below the cliff..." I muttered to myself. I walked to the edge of the cliff and peered down.
There, a few feet below me were able seven guys, all dressed in black, talking and exercising (well, that's what it seemed like they were doing). Behind them was a huge, white building with people coming in and out of it.
I cleared my throat, loud and clear.
They didn't acknowledge that I was watching them. They're not gonna hear me with all this sound... I grabbed my gun, cocked it, and held it up into the air my gun; shot the sky with a thundering BAM!
The guys froze like as if they were turned into statues for a moment and everything was quiet again, except for the music.
"Turn the music off," I told them.
The guy closest to a black box touched it and the music stopped.
"What do you want?" someone shouted at me.
I lowered my gun down. "I want you to be quiet...please."
"Sorry, can't," someone else down below said.
I placed my hand on my hip. "No, no, I think you're capable of being quiet. Try it out."
Another guy throw his hands out to his sides. "Who are you to tell us what to do? Huh?"
I began waving my gun while directing it at them during my explanation. "Well, first off, I got here first. I lived here first, but then you guys decided to come around and ruin the atmosphere!" I threw my hands and gun in the air. I had no idea how else to answer that question.
I could sense that the guys were eyeing me oddly. "I think you lived in the forest for too long if you were here first..."
"There's no such thing as living for 'too long' in the forest. I wanna make this short and simple, no arguments, no fights. I tried to tolerate your cacophony, but now I had enough." I felt my anger rising in me; I tried to push it back down by balling my free hand into a fist while clutching onto my gun harder.
"You can't make us shut up."
"Oh yes I can."
"No you can't."
"Oh yes I..." I felt a warm, twisting feeling rise in my body. "...can." Then I gnashed my teeth at them, baring my fangs.
The guys shouted and yelped in shock.
"Ugh!" I made a fist in my free hand and covered most of my face with it as I stepped back. "Sorry, sorry, sorry..."
The guys muttered to each other, looking at me cautiously.
I felt the feeling disappear and I placed my hand back to my side; I sighed.
"You don't wanna miss with this dude," a guy whispered.
"Yea, you saw 'im. Gun and powers. We're not ready for that yet," another guy said lowly.
The other guys agreed.
"Okay, we're sorry, forest man!" the first guy shouted at me. "Now we respect you! We'll not be loud anymore."
"Thank you..." I told them. Then I turned around to walk back to my house, but then I turned back to the guys. "Did I scare you guys? I didn't mean to, y'know, do the wolf thing--"
"Na, it's fine! We gotta get prepared for those type of people anyway," a guy told me.
Those type of people? "Oh, um, okay... But don't make me come back!"
"Okay!"
Then I turned around and began making my way back home. I gotta get myself under control.
