Someone killed the soldier with a bayonet but who could be, Townsend was inside the tank and Da Vinci was on the ground, as the unknown soldier takes out his bayonet from the dead soldier Dylan was shocked by who it was, it's was Dante.

Dante: sorry, I lost my way back there.
Dylan: there's right way in a place like this.
Dante: We'll find one, you are the driver.

Dylan laugh, Dante help Dylan up and he went to see what injuries Da Vinci had, she wasn't injured and the 3 of them enero the tank.

5 minutes later Dylan started to fix the engine.

Townsend: nice work boys!.
Da Vinci: yeah, we did good, didn't we?. ( she looked at Dante)
Dante: aye!.
Dylan: alright sir that's the last of them, let's get her moving.

As he tries to turn on the engine the engine doesn't start's, all of them look at each other thinking that they picked up the wrong spark plugs, but for Dylan, enough is enough.

Dylan: I have done everything right, everything!.

He tries again but no response from the engine.

Dylan: my whole sodding life! all I've done is to live my life by the manual ( he punches a tube inside the tank) by the manual!
What's wrong with you?!. (Talking to the tank) you stupid, you bloody machine! ( he kicks the engine) come on, come on Bess, pull your self together and work with me here ( he tries again but no response) oh for fuck sake! I though you liked to bloody (punch) well ( punch) fight ( punch) come on!!!.

As he tries the third time the tank starts and Dante is starting to laugh.

Dante: Hahaha! Hey Dylan! She likes it when you swear, boy! Haha!.

As the tank advances they start to check the map to see how far away the town of Cambrai is.

Dante: alright Dylan, Rendezvous is past those hills in the distance, just mind the village down there.
Dylan: alright lads. Hang on, here we go.
Da Vinci: left flank. Capture tanks moving into the village!.
Townsend: steady, lads. We're well behind jerry's lines now. No way knowing what are we up against.
Dante: that's a cheerful thought!.
Da Vinci: come on lads, we've held together this long, let's no fall apart now!.

As the tank goes through the town, Townsend and Dante are surprise to see a few houses burning and a few corpses on the street.

Dante: both of you will have to go to therapy after the war is over ( he starts to smell a decomposing corpse) that fucking smell.
Dylan: it's nothing.

As they are to enter an open field they get ambushed by capture Renault FT's but the shells bounce off because of the armor.

Townsend: engage! Engage!.

Dante and Da Vinci destroyed everything thing they saw on their way. But more soldiers started to appear.

Da Vinci: we kicked the hornets nest, we have to cross the bridge!.
Dylan: do not let them get near the tank!.

Dante manage to destroy another tank that was flanking them.

Dante: burn you jerry bastards!

As they cross the bridge they see the the Germans fixed up the Mark V tanks they captured, all of the crew is surprised.

Dylan: how did they manage to fix the tanks.
Dante: don't you worry, I know the weak spots, But you will need to get behind him.
Dylan: I will try.
Da Vinci: let's show the what Bess can do, shall we?.
Dante: go, go!

The tank started to get close to the captured tank and making the tank stuck on mud.

Da Vinci: let's finish him off.

A tank shell managed to penetrate the rear armor of the enemy tank destroying it.

Dante: that should do it!.
Da Vinci: Wooo!.

As the tank leaves the devastated town they go through a path that is close to train tracks.

Dylan: train track?.
Townsend: there is train yard on the other side of this hills, we're looking for a main road just past it.

As the advance they realize that they got to a German main camp.

Townsend: this is a main camp, they are going to retake Cambrai
Da Vinci: so we drive straight through.
Townsend: and what? Let them surprise everyone at the rendezvous?.
Dante: so what's the plan?.
Townsend: We have to take the initiative. If we hit hard and fast here. We can make a difference.
Dylan: alright let's bloody do it!.
Townsend: Dylan, keep moving. Keep them confused and off balance, and let's hope they don't realize we're on our own.

As the tank moves to higher position it starts to open fire against the infantry, when the tank wiped out the infantry it charged against the capture tanks on the rail yard they destroyed every light and land ship they find in the yard, as they advanced that the Germans started a counter attack against big Bess, the tank was begin attack by 2 A7V's, 4 Renault Ft tanks and 3 land ships.

Townsend: the fritz are no getting this rail way back., we will hold here.
Da Vinci: show them no fear lads!.
Dylan: enemy group coming in!.
Dante: let's just high tail it for Cambrai, straight down the mains road.
Townsend: that's exactly we're they are coming from, Dylan, try to avoid them.
Dylan: yes sir!.

As the Germans wanted the train yard the light tanks are taking out by Dante and for the heavy home Da Vinci manage to hit them in the soft places destroying them in one blast. They manage to hold the counter attack but more tanks are coming in.

Townsend: that counter attack wasn't as stiff as if couldn't been, here they come again.
Dylan: then we dig in here and fight again!.
Dante: that's the spirit!.

As the German attack again, the tank charge at the income tanks and manga to destroy 2 sturmpanzers with one shell by one Renault Ft is staring to do some damage at the tank.

Da Vinci: this fucking prick!.
Dante: try to stay on him, I got him ( he fires but missed the shot) shit!.

The tank started to spin in circles around the Mark V but Da Vinci has enough with the light tank.

Dante: Stay on him! Stay on him!.
Dylan: fuck him up!.

She managed to destroyed.

Dylan: yes! We did it!.
Dante: woooo!
Da Vinci: for king and country!.
Townsend: nice work lads, next stop is......( he starts to cough).
Dylan: Sir?.
Dante: oh no! Don't you dare dropping dead on us now!.
Townsend: ha....I'm just tired of all the fun.

As the tank advances the Germans called in and artillery strike at the tank.

Da Vinci: artillery!.
Townsend: drive! Drive!.

An artillery shell hit the tank in the tracks, destroying them.

Dylan: tracks damage, I go out to fix them!.
Da Vinci: Dylan! No!.
Dylan: I will be quick.

As he gets out a anti tank granate lands next to him.

Dylan:( looking at the granate) motherfu-

The blast send him to the ground injuring his arm, the Germans launched an bayonet charge to capture the tank but Dante and Da Vinci get out of the tank to help Dylan.

Da Vinci: Dylan! Oh my god! Are you okay?.
Dante: Dylan can you hear us?.

As they check on Dylan, the Germans started to shot at them Da Vinci and Dante fire back Ruth there rifle and Dylan with his pistol, a German soldier manage to shot Dante and knocking her out, as he tried to get in the tank Townsend started to shot back at the Germans that were entering the tank, one soldier shoot him on the stomach, Townsend looked at the fuel line that broke earlier was open and he quickly grab a match.

Townsend: sorry Bess.( he turned the match on and make the tank evolve into flames lightning on fire every one near it, Dylan with ness the carnage and making sure Da Vinci was okay, he was on the same position on the start of the book.

Da Vinci: ahh.....what....happened?.
Dylan: Townsend sacrificed him self.

She turned around to see the destroyed tanks and the burning corpses as the stand up they some else is alive.

Dante: Dylan...over here.
Dylan: I thought you died?
Dante: I'm though to kill, So that bastard actually did it.
Da Vinci: looks like it.

The 3 of them stand 1 minutes in silence to pay respects of Townsend.

Dante: so what do we do know? Driver?
Dylan: Now, we walk.

The 3 of them left their gloves on the burning and starting walking to the town of cambrai.

More than 300 tanks took part in the second battle of Cambrai. The war ended a mont later.
