No one's POV

Beidou twirls the handle of her blade in her hand before placing the tip on the wood of the ship. "Come on! Let's see what you truly got!" She yells excitingly.

After a few seconds, the monster's spiral in its mouth grew larger. It reels its head back as if to attack. While it did, Beidou leaps towards its face as she lifts her claymore over her head. She lets out a battle cry as soon as she was within hitting distance. She then swings her blade down as electricity forms around her blade. The creature saw all of this and lungs its head forward to attack. However, before it could reach her, she swung her blade down on its head, having enough strength to send the beast's head down. It roars in pain as it shot its ball of electricity into the water, which explodes on impact.

It shook off the pain as Beidou landed on its face. The two stared down before the creature suddenly did a barrel roll, shaking her off of it. She leaps back onto the ship next to the male with white hair, glancing at him.

"Tell the men to move back and prepare the ballistae!" She orders.

The male nods. "On it. But what are you going to do?"

"Give them some time." That was all Beidou said as she glares back at the creature, which dives under the ship.

Before the male could reply, the captain had already run to the edge of the ship and jumps off into the ocean. The male stares in awe for a brief moment before remembering the order and going to do so.

Back to Beidou, she splashes into the water while holding her breath. She looks up where she last saw the sea monster. At first, she couldn't find the creature anywhere. She looks all around her but still saw nothing besides the endless water. However, she heard a low growl behind her, causing her to turn around quickly. Behind her, the creature stares at her with its red menacing eyes as it towers over her.

She summons her blade as the beast lunges its head forward to eat her. Before it could, she moves her blade into a blocking position and guards while a purple bubble was summoned around her. Once the creature hits it, her body glows a bright purple before swinging her blade in response with lightning. Her attack was much stronger than earlier, causing it to send the monster reeling back. Despite being in the water, she could easily use her weapon as if fighting on land. 

It took the monster a second to shake off the pain and roars at her. It roars so loud that Beidou had to cover her ears to prevent her from going deaf. Once it was done, it lunges its shoulder forward and slams into her, sending her flying back. She tries to brush off the pain, but the creature caught up to her, spun around, and slaps her with its tail. This sent Beidou flying deep into the ocean as the wind was knocked out of her. Water starts to fill her lungs as her mouth was open, forcing her to quickly shut it. She could feel herself losing air fast. Thinking quickly, she tries to swim to the surface. However, she saw the same glowing red eyes quicking swimming after her as electricity coats its body, mainly the mouth and back.

The monster opens its jaw wide as the lightning coats its teeth. Beidou swims to the side just as it tried to lunge at her, making it miss. It turns around and as it was about to swim after her again, it noticed Beidou swimming to the surface. It follows after her while she breaks through the ceiling and gasps for air before coughing. The monster raises its head through the water and thrusts itself at her, smacking her onto the side of the ship, making her grunt in pain. It then tried to shoot another ball of electricity, but the white-haired male from before suddenly leaped over the monster's head while creating a sword of wind in his hand. The male then thrusts his blade down onto the beast's head and pierces through it slightly, making it roar in rage into the sky while trying to shake the male off.

Despite shaking violently, the male kept his hold on his blade and tried to jab it deeper, but had no luck. He grunts in annoyance before the creature slams its head onto the side of the ship. It used enough force to send the male flying off and crashing onto the dock while shaking the ship violently.

Several of the crew lost their grip on what they were doing and began to slide in the direction of the ship's tilt. Most of those were about to be knocked off and land in the water, but other crew members caught them and helped them back onto their feet before they could fall off. As they did, several of the remaining men got onto the ballistae and prepped the weapons.

Meanwhile, Beidou was able to shake off the pain and recollect herself. Looking up, she saw the monster bashing its head onto the side of the ship, causing the wood to crack and snap under its might. Her eye widen before she quickly started to climb the ship until she was high enough to leap off and land on the monster's back. Her weapon was summoned yet again and began to slash its back repeatedly, slowly chipping its scales.

"Don't forget about me!" She shouts between swings. Unbeknownst to her, her blade was slightly cracking after each hit she made.

After several successful hits, the monster's back was creating electricity. Beidou leaps and lands on the creature's head again and stabs the creature's wound caused by the male earlier. Doing so made the creature let out a long, ear-piercing roar as its eyes turned red and lightning struck in the distance. More electricity was made around the horns on its head which Beidou noticed and squints her eye at. She activates her bubble again as the monster's lighting struck her, blocking it just in time. When it was done, Beidou rips her blade out and slices one of the creature's horns, dealing a large dent into the horn. The monster hisses and began to thrash and crash its head violently both in the air and against the ship yet again.

As it did, the crew had finished preparing the ballistae and waved at their captain. "We're ready, Captain!" One shouts over the thrashing of the monster.

Beidou looks over her shoulder and nods. "FIRE!!!" She shouts.

Without hesitation, the crew aimed their ballistae and began to rain down arrows onto the creature as Beidou jumps back onto the ship. She watches the blasts rapidly hitting the creature and making it reel back until it and the ship had some distance. The male ran over to Beidou's side as she smiles and nods at him, who nods back before the two focused back on the beast.

Speaking of, the creature was trying to dodge the arrows while roaring in rage. Its mouth formed electricity before suddenly diving under the ship. The crew seized their firing as Beidou looks over the edge to see where the monster went. Quickly, the monster reappears on the other side of the ship while everyone wasn't looking and swung its head across the deck so several of the men were knocked off their feet and sent flying.

The rest turned around and tried to help the fallen men, but the beast shot a ball of electricity from its mouth onto the deck, exploding part of it as several of the people were shocked until unconscious. Beidou's and the male's eyes widen upon seeing this as they ran after the creature. During this, the men on the ballistae tried to turn around and fire again, but the creature saw this and lunges forward after one of them, making the person controlling it jump out just in time to avoid the monster's teeth. The monster grabs hold of the ballistae, rips it out of the ship, and threw it into the ocean.

As all of this happened, practically no one was focusing on keeping the sails checked. Because of the violent winds, the sails were becoming out of control and the ship began to sway.

The monster lunges towards some of the downed crew as Beidou ran forward, used herself as a shield, and bashed her sword on the side of its face, smacking its head back.

"Help get the rest of the crew out of harm's way before getting the harpoons ready!" She commands while glancing at some of the standing men trying to pick up the rest. They nod before quickly moving the men out of the battle.

The male jumps off the ship and summons his sword before landing on its back. Before it could react, he lunges forward and spun down the creature's back while slashing its skin the whole way down. He manages to make a deep gash and blood start to spew out, making the monster's body create lightning. Just as the male jumps away to avoid the same attack as before, the electricity suddenly changes into several balls and circles around the creature's body, acting as a wall. During this, the male was unfortunately caught within range of one of them and was shocked before being smacked by the monster's tail, sending him flying into the ocean.

Beidou steps to the side as the monster lunges its head and tried to bite her. She slashes the side of the face just as it turns to her and tried to eat her again, only to miss as she rolls in the other direction to smack it again. She kept doing this as the men set the rest of the crew away in safety before running over to the ballistae and beginning to arm them with harpoons.

The male in the water emerges and gasps for air while shaking his wet hair out of his face. He saw what was going on and swam over to try to climb its tail. The creature felt this and turns around before swatting its tail around, but the male kept his grip and continues to climb back up. The creature then quickly lunges forward to eat him.

He saw this and leaps over the head to land on its neck while noticing lighting coats itself. He summons his wind blade and instead of going for the head, he slashes the creature's horns, slashing a small chunk of the broken horn. This made the creature cry out while slamming its head into the ship violently. The male took this to jump off to the ship and land beside Beidou. The two got into stances as the male glanced at the captain.

"Go for the horns!" He shouts while focusing back onto the monster.

Beidou nods as the creature sneers. Seeing this, she sprints forward while drawing her blade back. The creature once again thrusts itself forward and opens its jaw wide to eat her. However, just as it did, Beidou stops herself, slams her feet into the wooden floor, and lifts her blade over her head. She lets out a battle cry as lighting coats her blade before it slams into the creature's nose.

Upon impact, the sword slams the creature's jaws into the ship with enough impact to knock a few teeth out and its head bounces back. It whines while struggling back but was cut off as three harpoons were fired at it. They pierce through the armor of the chest and back which made the creature cry out again. It tried to break free, but the chains connected to the harpoons tighten, preventing it from doing so.

Seeing the creature stuck, the men began to cheer while Beidou and the male smiled in relief. Beidou then leaps onto the head again and lifts her blade over her head. The two lock eyes momentarily before Beidou slashes the left horn off of its head. 

When she did, she manages to slice it off and it fell into the water. The monster roars in agony as an electronic blast explodes outwards from the wound. The blast passes through the ship and sent everyone flying onto their backs as several parts of the wood and sails shattered or ripped apart. Some of the ropes holding the sails together started to rip.

Beidou barely managed to endure the explosion and was barely hanging on. However, once the creature recovers, it lets out an ear-piercing roar before rolling in the water. This sent Beidou flying off into the water and shortly after ripped the ballistae from the ship and sent them flying in the ocean.

Seeing the captain fly into the water made the male's eyes widen as he gasps. He jumps into the water and swam after her. As he dives, he saw the monster stop rolling as the harpoons fell off from its body. It shook its head of the pain before noticing the two. It snarls as blood leaks out of its wounds.

The male stops swimming and summons his blade to fight. The two simply stare into the others' eyes briefly, waiting for the other to strike first. Yet before it could happen, the creature roars and turns to weakly swim away into the depths. The male watched until he could no longer see it and once he felt it was clear hr focused on saving the captain. Once he got to her, he grabs her by her arm and placed it around his shoulder before swimming back to the surface.

Upon reaching the surface, the two cough and gasps for air. The crew from above threw a rope near them and shouts for them to grab it, which they did. The crew pulled them back onto the ship's dock to let the two catch their breath. When they did, Beidou gets up and looks around the ship. Seeing all the damage that it just received plus the storm still going on made her scowl. "Damnit..." She mutters while looking down in disdain.

"The monster fled for now. It would be wise if we head back and heal our wounds." The male says to the captain, who glanced at him over her shoulder.

She reluctantly nods her head before looking back at her crew. "Agreed. The ship's about to fall apart any moment and the storm isn't going anywhere." She states before starting to relax. "Let's get out of here." She declares, causing the crew to nod.

With what was left still intact, the crew went to their stations and began to turn the ship around and set sail. As the crew retreated, magically, the storm suddenly started to calm down within seconds. The wind calms down as the waves were returning to normal. The clouds were beginning to disperse and the sky was seeping through.

After several minutes of sailing, Beidou turns back to where the monster dispersed and stares deeply at the area. "You won't get away from me next time..." She mutters while folding her arms.

Meanwhile...

Deep in the depths of the waters, where no human can see through the darkness, a large mass was floating, seemingly staring where the fight had been. It stares with its glowing ominous eyes momentarily before slowly turning around and swimming deeper in the ocean, hiding its identity.
