I deserve someone
who sees my family
as a blessing
and not a curse.

Someone who will love
them as fiercely as I do -
instead of only seeing
a circus in their wake.

The man destined
for all of this
will embrace them
as if they were their own kin;

We deserve to be accepted,
wholeheartedly and not in pieces -

Because heck, I deserve
to be accepted
just as I am.
