The darkness doesn't have to be something bad

Darkness. Darkness was all that Caroline could feel at that moment. But she wasn't going to give in. She stepped back and then made a even Thicker wall from the inside. The only thing hiding them away from the people attacking them was a wall made of ice.

"When this collapses, Run," Caroline yelled at Nora as she tried her best to keep the wall intact.

"The Crescent pack, These are the Crescent packs right? We're going die. I am going to die," Nora started to blurt out in fear. There was nothing she could do over there, Inside the round wall with Caroline.

"Nora I do not know how much longer I can keep this wall up. I cannot guarantee you anything but just try to not think about our chances of a really painful death," Caroline told her as she started to look pale.

"We can hide in the tress. Make that staircase, do something! We can't die," Nora added stressfully.

"We'll figure it out, But for now I'll need you to shut up." Caroline ended her sentence as she continued to make the wall thicker.

Meanwhile the group were just about to leave to the forest. They found out from Julian that she was in a forest and luckily Kai knew the way to the forest from the town. The ground was covered in droplets of water and they instantly knew that the wall was the way Caroline left.

Jessica turned to kai, With a look that explained everything. Kai nodded and the group stepped back.

"Kai you don't seriously think of actually doing that right?" Sebastian questioned as he stepped back and kai stepped in front and stretched his arms.

"I don't see any other way. Now come on, Riding a controlled tornado won't harm you. If your still scared, Then you can go back and eat the sad cookies that Caroline dearest left for you," Jessica remarked as Kai began to make mini tornados.

The tornados were the size of them, They were controlled and kai looked pretty confident about his skills. Kai made four of them and controlled them as he looked at raven. Raven understood that she'll go first and she did. She stepped into the tornado and it was surprisingly fun. Kai l made the tornado with raven to fly upwards to the wall and go to the other side. Kai repeated the steps with Jessica and Sebastian and he went last.

Sebastian's ride wasn't the best. As Kai focused on his tornado, He lost a bit of control from Sebastian's tornado.

Sebastian's tornado was doing fine until he went to the other side. It started to lose control and spin around faster and he realized that he'd fall. There was one other option for him though.

He managed to get out of the tornado. The mini tornado had started to pick up its pace and Sebastian fell out of it, Thinking that he'd probably fall to the ground and get a bruise or something but instead he lost his balance and ended up falling in a pit of wet mud on the side.

Raven burst out laughing as Jessica went up to the pit to help him up. Kai landed soon after and Sebastian was out of it by that time. He was soaked in mud up to his face and looked like he had scratched his knee as well.

"Well that must have hurt," Jessica added as she wiped the mud off her hand.

"Kai, What the hell was that!?" Sebastian questioned kai as he tried to remove the mud from his face.

"That, My friend, Was called payback for the time you set my hair on fire," Kai answered with a smug look.

"Oh right, I almost forgot about the time Sebastian dearest set Kai's princess hair on fire and almost ruined Kai's rainbow riding time," Raven told them as she chuckled.

"Oh I am sorry that I have beautiful hair that I take care of. All of this," Kai paused and snapped his fingers from his face to his chest and did some kind of a diva expression. "Doesn't happen from magic." He finished.

"Obviously. If it were magic then you'd actually have something to do your diva expression for," Jessica stated with a grin.

"Okay you guy's can stop your bickering now. We have a person to find," Sebastian finally told them something as they nodded and started running towards the forest. They decided to not use their powers as the risk of them getting to know about who they were was dangerous.

As they ran into the forest, They realized that running wouldn't help them find Caroline any sooner. So, Tornado travelling it was. They came to a sudden stop mid way though. All of them landed by a statue that had a bracelet left by it.

Jessica went towards the statue, wondering why was it even there. Then she bent down and took the bracelet that was left by it.

"Put it down, We don't know what it is," Kai said to Jessica as he approached her but then all the sound's stopped. The wind didn't blow, The wolves didn't howl and the footsteps stopped.

"Caroline could have been here, What if she dropped this here on purpose?" Jessica asked but then froze. The moon light appeared on the ground and then they realized that they were surrounded by snakes of stone.

"Caroline would have run Straight ahead, She couldn't be that far away. Let's run- Well I mean let's ride tornados!" Sebastian exclaimed to them and they nodded as Kai began to make controlled tornados.

While the group were about to start searching again, There was someone else in the world they lived in.

Footsteps started to echo a court room as she entered with her head raised high. She walked towards the single throne. The throne which was made of the purest gold, Diamonds covered it's borders as many gems of different colors and sizes were sequined around it.

Guards were on both the sides of it. Not moving a single bit or even making a sound, As if the girl walking to the throne was the only one in the court. The glass chandelier had many layers and the floors were covered in rugs.

But she then suddenly stopped, Her crown fell down and she felt like every bit of life from her was draining away. She started to lose control over her breath and desperately tried to catch her breath again.

The guards raised sword a bit and started to step toward her but she heard it and immediately motioned them to stop by raising her left hand. She stumbled on to the throne with great effort but didn't sit on it, Instead she took a knife that was hidden away in the inside of the throne and ran to the left side of the court where the guards were standing. She ran to the second first guard and stabbed him in his heart, With a vicious look.

The guards stood still, acting like their queen didn't just stab one of their own. The guard that she had stabbed instantly fell down as a lady in a white suit entered with a checklist.

"The fool sighed. Beginners mistake I presume, Unfortunately I don't have time for people who aren't loyal to me," She told the lady in the suit as she fixed her hair and went back to the throne.

"Your majesty, If I may? It's the fifth time you've killed a protestant guard in the week. The people are growing mad, We need something new," The lady told the queen as she walked towards her.

"It's the fifth time I've been feeling betrayed by a guard in this week alone. Me killing them was justified and I don't see why I have to explain my actions to someone below me. Arrange a meeting in state 8 with the protestant leader in front of the whole town, Make the rebels think that we're with them and then arrange a hanging for the rebels who attended it," The queen declared as the lady held the crown and gave it back to the queen.

"Queen Eleanor, I am sorry for my sudden question but why must there be a hanging? That would make them angry," A young guard spoke up from the right side of the court.

"You've been pardoned, And a hanging must take place to make them angry. Once they're angry, They'll do something impulsive. The rest of my diabolical plans aren't of your concern," She answered.

"Oh and Jenny dear, How's my daughter? Is she still thinking that I am not keeping track of her?" She added as she fixed her crown.

"The princess was last spotted in town. We have a bigger crisis on our hands- Jenny, The lady in the suit would have continued if Eleanor hadn't interrupted her in the middle.

"I don't remember asking you to answer me about carnal issues. I am your queen, You can only speak in my court if you are spoken to and Jenny dear I had grown to appreciate you so it hurts me to have your executed. Guards, Take her away." Eleanor ended her statement as she sat emotionless while a guard took Jenny away.

That was how it worked, questioning the queen would often result in the person's death and even after ruling her empire from 200 years, People didn't learn.

As the tornado's started to take them forward they suddenly came to a stop right behind a bunch of tree's, Barely hiding from What seemed like Caroline holding up a wall against no one. There wasn't anyone in sight. They landed down, Trying to not make any noise.

As soon as they landed, Raven took out some daggers that were tipped in poison, Ropes and sharp knives from her jacket. She was wearing a dark red leather jacket that had many secure pockets and she gave two daggers, Two ropes with hooks and the two knives to each. It was just a precaution but suddenly everything flashed back to reality.

Suddenly people started to climb down from tree's with their ropes, The tallest trees in the forest. Those weren't the only ones though. In the blink of an eye there were people gathering around Caroline's wall and craving it through by their daggers.

Raven threw the rope with the hook on to the tree, Getting higher ground and then she started to throw vials of poison on them from the distance. Unfortunately, They caught on to the group very quickly.

The clouds moved aside to show the glistening Crescent moon and that's when they spotted it. The whole place was packed with traps. They would have kept their distance and distracted them from there but they heard Caroline's scream and they went it.

Well by went it they asked raven to hand over some vials to them and they just headed towards Caroline's round Ice wall. Daggers were getting thrown left and right and they didn't have the upper hand.

Jessica almost lost it, Almost. She got in control then and decided to take higher ground and flood them with poison. Raven covered her way as she threw a rope on to a tree. She was securing it but then something caught her eye.

It was a someone. Diana. She was almost unrecognizable, She was wearing the signature dark blue hood over her head and she was taking guard. They caught each others eyes and Jessica held her last dagger in her hand, Thinking that she'd only use it if Diana threatened her but Diana did something worse.

Diana's eyes for a split moment looked a Sebastian who was taking on the second leader of the pack, He was doing okay and could have won if no-one came to the help of their second leader but Jessica knew what exactly Diana was going to do.

Diana clutched her knife, Like she was holding on to it desperately and Jessica shook her head, Hoping to convince Diana.

If there was one thing that Jessica had known about the Crescent pack was that they had daggers that were dipped with a special poison that was said to only have one cure that they'd rarely give to their victims.

In a fraction of a second, As Diana threw the dagger, Jessica ran and shoved Sebastian out of the way but got the dagger got her. It tore open her right sleeve and scratched her arm badly but as her sleeve Opened, One of them suddenly dropped Everything and fell to their knees.

Then everything went blank. Unfortunately for the group, The wall broke. But something that Jessica didn't know was that there could be a chance that the Crescent pack weren't who they thought they were. Isn't that everything? We think we know someone but we only know the side they decide to show us.

Note: Hey again! It's me, The person who decides to do her assignments last minute only. I enjoyed this chapter a lot, Especially the introduction of Eleanor. She might seem only a psychopath now but trust me she's a lot more and a psychopath. How are you? I hope you are enjoyed this.
