Every good thing is sealed with a curse.

When Jessica dropped unconscious, She knew that she was going to get kidnapped. When she woke up, She expected to be tied up to a chair in a dark room but she was sleeping on a fairly good bed in a well lot room. She was surprised But knew That she had to get out.

She looked around the barely lit room, Getting a good look at how it was. It wasn't frightening at all, It looked like a place where someone could actually live. She saw a wardrobe and walked towards it, She opened it and it was filled with clothes. She touched the cupboard to make sure that she wasn't dreaming or anything and she realized that her hands were shaking. She couldn't make out what was happening and then she saw the door.

She headed towards the door, hoping that it's unlocked but it wasn't. It was locked from the outside. There were no windows but she knew that the air must have a way of entering and leaving.

She thought about lighting a match to see where exactly the air was entering from, But as she reached for her pocket she realized that it was empty.

"Fine, They are not total idiots," said Jessica to herself as she stretched her right arm. She remembered the hologram strip that Mary had injected into her right arm, It would allow her to record a message that would be sent to Mary.

She immediately Touched the strip and a holographic message record showed up. "mare, I was in the town near the eastern forest. I don't know where I am now, there was some kind of smoke bomb and I woke up in this place. It's locked. It's happening, I am going to drink the solution just for safety. Love you," she recorded and the recorder shut down.

The solution she was talking about was vampire blood, Drink it and die then you'll become a vampire, Mary gave it to Jessica in case someday she was in a near-death situation. Jessica wasn't afraid of what would happen, All she knew was to survive. She checked a pouch that was sealed shut in the back of her shoe, It had the vial with the blood.

As she was ready to Drink it, The door opened suddenly and she immediately hid it in her pocket.

"Your up, That's an improvement. Come on, Follow me." Said the same girl that had abducted her from the town. She wasn't wearing the hoodie anymore, Which showed her black straight hair. She was wearing a normal top with jeans and a jacket and looked relieved.

"Who are you?" Asked Jessica as she remained still in her position.

"That's not what's important, Now, Follow me and don't do anything else and you'll get the answers," Said the black-haired girl as she left the room.

Jessica followed her, She didn't want them to think that she was trying to escape. She followed her down a long staircase and as they finally reached the room that the girl took her to.

The black-haired girl turned around and said "My name's raven, You don't need to be afraid of anyone over here. We just want to talk and we'll drop you off to the town after we finish."

"Who are the others," said Jessica with a blank face. "Meet them yourself," Said raven as she opened the door. It was a dark room but with just enough light.

The first person that Jessica saw was a blonde girl who was sitting on a red couch in the center, The blonde had grey eyes and looked like she was working on something. She then looked at the left side of the room and saw a dark haired boy with green eyes. He was making a drink and looked irritated. She thought that he was the last person there but then someone touched her shoulder.

Jessica turned back almost immediately, There was another guy with dark brown hair standing behind her. He had blue eyes and was the exact height as Jessica.

"Move," He said as Jessica left some space for him to get into the room.

Jessica entered the room and went up to the drinks corner, Raven entered as well and shut the door as Jessica turned to face her.

"What do you want with me?" asked Jessica as she approached raven.

"Again with the questions," said raven as she sighed.

"The blondie on the couch? Her names Caroline, Water element, You'll like her once you get to know raven. Said raven as she pointed towards the blonde. Caroline stood up and walked towards Jessica.

"Hey, looks like the devil's already given you my introduction but what can I say, I like meeting new people so I will give the proper introduction. I am Caroline, Caroline zeta. I am amazing and totally not one of Eleanor's followers, Stay away from the right bar cause it's mine and feel free to not try to escape." said Caroline as she turned and walked to her bar.

"The devil?" Jessica asked her, Looking suspicious.

"Family problems, Family ties and the family name," Raven replied with a look that said stop asking questions about me.

"So your name's raven devil?" Jessica asked her again, Just to annoy her a bit.

"No, I mean my father is the devil but more on family problems later. We'll have plenty of time to chitchat afterward." Raven told her with a annoyed smile.

Jessica was surprised to say the least, Caroline acted a lot like how Susan did. She had the same light blonde hair as Susan and had the charisma as well but Caroline had many things that made her stand out as well. Raven on the other hand had a few characteristics of Mary.

If the circumstances were different then Jessica would totally have been friends with her but unfortunately she's being held captive with a bunch of people she doesn't know so making friends isn't on her wish list.

The memories started coming to Jessica in bits, She could remember her going to the town and something about Diana and then just everything becoming black. She felt a cold breeze just ride up her mind and as she looked at the lights she remembered the town. If felt wrong, The cold feeling but she ignored it.

"Caroline's a bit harsh to new people but trust me she's really sweet once you get to know her," said the guy who was making the drink earlier.

"My name's Kai, wind element, Really awesome and just awesome," he told her.

"And who's the other guy?" asked Jessica as she looked around the room, Searching for the easiest escape time.

"I am Sebastian, Fire element and not interested in small talk. Caroline, Do all of us a favor and just make her kill someone already" said the guy that had previously entered the room. He had something different about him and for some reason Jessica could feel it, But then she heard what he had said and immediately ran out that door.

One of the worst things about Jessica was her ability to make impulsive decisions, As soon as she heard the words "Make her kill someone" She ran.

She looked for some kind of door but there was none, Then it hit her, The exits upstairs. She was going to make a run for it but then came the feeling of all of her energy being sucked out of her.

She screamed out in pain as she collapsed to the floor, It had felt like someone was draining her life out of her and it had started occurring more and more recently. Caroline and kai walked up to her, they knew that it was going to happen unless she activated the curse. Caroline helped kai carry Jessica back to the bed in the room that they were previously in.

"Do you think that she's the one?" asked Sebastian as he put his hands in his hair in frustration.

"Yeah, She definitely is." replied Caroline as she walked out of the room to see raven and Kai.

Jessica woke up a day later, The room was unlocked and Jessica didn't have the energy to think of a escape so she walked out of it to see what the hell everyone was talking about yesterday.

She went to the same room down stairs and as she opened she saw that there was nobody over there. She entered it and went to the couch, She wanted to know more about whatever was happening at the moment.

Meanwhile in the living room, That was on the third floor, Caroline, Kai and Sebastian were arguing about something.

"Caroline we cannot just make her kill someone out of the blue! That's not how the curse works" exclaimed Kai as Caroline looked in disbelief.

"Kai, Get it over it. Eleanor's guards do it all the damn time and you don't give a damn about that. It's either she kills someone or someone kills her and I am leaning towards the first option better," said Caroline as she looked at Sebastian.

"Or we could just let her die? Are we even sure that she's the one. What's she done to prove it?" asked Sebastian as he went up to Caroline and Kai. They would have continued their little disagreement if it weren't for raven to just March into the room. There was blood on a part of her collar and she was wiping something of her lips as she was entering the room.

"Great, we have another body to burn. Raven, Mind to explain yourself?" asked Caroline in frustration as she went towards raven.

"Caroline, It had come to my attention that this base wasn't as well hidden as you thought it was, I saw a human just walking by it. Well at least it didn't go to waste," said raven as she went towards kai.

"Raven, Please? It's the third time you've just killed-" Kai would have continued his sentence if it weren't for raven to cut him of "- Why does everyone think that just because I bit into someone's carotid artery they're dead, I fed her some of my blood and made her go away. Now, Time to talk about who our new friend Jessica is going to kill."

"I am not killing anyone unless at least one of you psychopaths tell me what do you want with me." said Jessica as she walked into the room.

"You're awake. Great timing, We were just about to discuss about who you were going to kill. No better time to ask us why right?," said Kai as he went over to sit down near a couch.

"I am no Bounty hunter, I won't do your bidding." said Jessica as she remained near the exit.

"We don't want a bounty hunter, Your going to kill someone so that you'll get to live. A life for A life" said Sebastian as he went towards Jessica. A life for A life, as if Jessica would believe that. She valued her life and would do anything to live.

"What do you want from me? I have no money or gold or anything valuable," said Jessica as she sighed.

"What we want is for you to become one of us,- Caroline would have continued if Jessica had not cut her off "- I am not going to become a vampire!".

"Darling, I am the only vampire over here. No one's going to turn you into one so shut your mouth and listen to us." said raven as she stared at Jessica.

"We have powers, So do you, And by powers I don't mean super strength or some superhero kind of stuff I mean that you are an element. I am the water element, I can control water and do lots of things with my abilities and since there are five elements all of us have different abilities." Said Caroline to Jessica.

Jessica remembered the stories Mary used to say about people who could bend nature to their benefits, But Jessica didn't believe them for a second. For all she knew it could have been an illusion.

"Why should I believe you, Show me that this isn't a lie," Asked Jessica as she went towards Caroline. Caroline simply nodded and stretched out her hand. Suddenly, There was water coming inside the room but it suddenly stopped as well to freeze in its way and turned into snow and withered away. "Party trick." Said Caroline as she high fived kai.

"So Kai is wind, Sebastian's fire, Your water, Then what am I and raven? And what's this curse?" Asked Jessica as she looked at Caroline in surprise.

Jessica thought that she finally found something that she could prove herself in, Little did she know about the curse.

"Raven's sky, Everything in the universe except the planet we stand on. And you, You are earth." Said Caroline to Jessica.

"So out of all the cool elements I get the most boring one?" scoffed Jessica.

"If by the most boring one you mean the most powerful and important one then yeah, you get the boring one." Said Sebastian as he looked at Jessica. Jessica looked at her left to look at him. She didn't believe it for a moment but still wanted to know more about them.

"What's the curse. Answer this and I'll do whatever I am supposed to do." asked Jessica to Sebastian.

"The curse, It originated when a mortal who was a saint had found out about his powers but refrained from using them. He thought that he will go to hell if he used them and because of his lack of actions a huge massacre took place. They say a powerful demi god kept the curse so that whoever had the power's would have no other choice but to use them. The curse is that they had to kill someone to activate it, If you don't then you'll die before you turn eighteen." Kai answered Jessica as he paced the room.

Then Jessica knew that she had to kill someone to make sure she didn't die, But killing an innocent person wasn't something that Jessica wanted to do, But even if she had once not believed in what they were saying, Now after she had heard about the curse she knew that every single word they had been telling her was true. The curse that would be the unfortunate cause for something Jessica would regret doing.

"You guys are lying." Jessica answered cautiously.

The group didn't answer.
