Peace filled a spot in the night where chaos happened so often and was going on as affection was shared between two people who it wouldn't be expected from. Holding each other closely two lovers of the past stayed put while things crashed and burn behind them like they had at once experienced between each other. As nice as the moment was, it didn't hold out for long since nothing good ever seemed to.
Two pair of identical eyes met which caused both males to pull away, one from a person and the other from a building.
"Hyung, is that you?"
Jimin walked further down the block and let himself be caught up to. Once far enough that he hasn't so close to neither ends of the street he stopped to wait for his brother. When Jihyun finally caught up to him, they pulled each other close into a tight hug which both cherished. For a short time they forgot of all the recent mishaps and were just brothers rejoicing each other's touch. As before, the affection came to an end for they snapped right back into reality.
"What are you doing here!?" Jihyun cried softly as his head spun around to be sure no one else had followed them there. Lucky for them no one had and no one would because they had someone looking out for them.
"I had to come see you." Jimin said. "We need to talk."
Jihyun exhaled, the stench of acohol clear in his breath. He shook his head and called his brother crazy for even considering coming to see him in a place full of people against him was a good idea. Jimin could very well agree that his doing was insane but he did it for more than just the reason to talk because he could very well do that over the phone. The elder had not come just to talk words with his brother but also to hold him close for he missed his presence and to give him something. Jihyun urged for Jimin to be quick on whatever it was he needed to say for it was uncertain when someone could walk onto the street and catch them speaking.
"About three weeks ago, I went to the house to get something with Yoongi, were you hiding from me?"
The question needing not a verbal answer for expression said it all. Jihyun had spent two seconds thinking back then two more realizing he hadn't and two more coming reaching an anxious state as Jimin had.
"Someone was in our house!?" Jihyun exclaimed as he too became freaked out by the thought of it. Jimin confirmed to him that it seemed so but did not explain all too much of the reason he was there, not just because they were pressed for time. He did not want Jihyun knowing of the notes his mother was writing to what was most likely to have been a hidden lover. Jimin did not wish to destroy an image of a pure mother to his brother as he had been doing to himself.
"I have one more thing for you." Jimin reached into the pocket of his sweater where he pulled out of a golden ring. "It's Appa's."
The golden ring which belonged to both boy's father was slipped onto the fourth finger of the younger brother's left hand. Jihyun looked closely at it before looking to the hand of his brother he was display what the other half, his mother's.
"His was too big for me. I hope you don't mind." Jimin said. "I know you wanted them both but one is as much as I'll willingly give up Hyunnie. It wouldn't be fair for you to keep them both and just maybe they weren't really meant to stay together."
The last part pained Jimin to say out loud but he knew there might be truth to his words. Jihyun did not understand for he had not read the letter written by his mother so he had not an idea of what could have been a second life for her. Despite that, Jimin hugged his brother tightly and promised they'd come to see their parents again. He claimed all they needed was time but both were aware that wasn't it yet they refused to admit it to each other. The Park brothers lied to one another's face, something well accepted by both sides.
"I won't hold you any longer then. Please be careful." Jimin said just after placing a kiss on the forehead of his brother's. He patted him to go forward but Jihyun did not. The younger stayed still, looking conflicted at his brother.
"Hyung, I'm sorry." Jihyun blurted out. "I know you think I tried to hurt you but I didn't, I promise. I just-"
Jimin pulled his brother close once again. "I know Hyunnie, I know."
The words settled the younger boy down. He was sent away with a heavy heart at last. Jimin stood watching for Jihyun to turn the corner but he was stopped. Jungkook had done as before, he grabbed his ex-lover and forced him place despite the struggle shorter put up. Jihyun fought but not enough to free himself. He did not scream as he threaten to but it could be heard that he grunted as a form to show his displeasure. Jungkook took no mind to sounds as he pressed his forehead against that of Jihyun while saying words that were incoherent except for them two. Jimin watched from afar as he'd done before.
A sort of tranquility was sensible between the two young ones despite the harsh words and fight they put up against each other. Jihyun slipped right into Jungkook as he'd done so earlier before. The tantrum came to end and he let himself be held closely without squirming. Eyes of both came closed but they continued to talk until they could no more for panic settled in their temporary peace.
A figure stood frozen as it turned the corner. Whoever had stopped time for seconds was definitely someone who they were threatened by for Jungkook tensed the very moment he caught sight of the person. Jihyun pulled himself away from who should have never been close to in the first place and held his hands up in defense. Time moved slow until the person screamed out for those outside to hear.
"The other side!"
Jungkook's heel turned so fast and his legs quickened their pace into a sprint. Jimin had already gotten down the street by the time the younger was closing in behind him. They could hear angry screams that repeated the words the figure spoke. The older wanted to run back for his brother but he knew not to for Jihyun could pull himself out of the situation while they couldn't. Jungkook eventually caught up, he grabbed Jimin's hand to rush him even more.
"V!" The two yelled out in unison.
Taehyung was well ahead of them, literally. The car drove past them then zoomed back once the driver realized that who was running towards him was more than those he came with. The pair of runners rushed into the back seat just before the car went backwards at full speed.
"I need a co-pilot!" The driver yelled out as he spun the steering wheel to get them out of the street in which another car was coming down. Jungkook stepped up for the job while Jimin peered through the back window to the black car coming at them.
"How the hell do I get the hell out of here!" Taehyung yelled desperately as he hesitated to turn the car in fear to make it into another dead end as he had on the way there by accident.
Instructions began being told as gazes were kept on mirrors. Jimin who kept a close eye on the black riding behind them updated those in front of their every move. It appeared that those in the car behind them, two men, were aware of their every turn.
"Once wrong move and we could hit a dead end that's why." Jungkook responded to Jimin curiosity as to why their every turn was anticipated. They were deep into the area which meant loosing the car behind them was not happening soon, something they were all fearful of.
"Jimin shoot them."
"What!?"
Taehyung sped the slowed the car down a bit. "You heard me! Shoot them!"
"No, Tae-"
"He's right, you've gotta shoot Jimin!" Jungkook butt in, sounding much desperate than before. "If you don't we're going to bring them back to our side. We'll break out a blood bath!"
Panicked by the sudden order, Jimin struggled to get the gun resting against his lower back out of the waist band of his jeans. The right window was lowered for the deed to be done. The young man hesitated but it was not left to be long last for he was screamed out the order to shoot. They had not enough time for him to double think.
"We can't let them get past the tunnel!" Taehyung screamed out as he steadied his driving. "Do it now!"
Jimin breathed heavily, not just from his run, before holding out a part of himself. The air hit his face harshly as he stared at the car behind them. He was not missed by both passengers behind, they were shocked at the sight of him. Panic struck their own expression as they hurried to do something but attacker did not give them enough time. A gun held out with a target in range.
Adrenaline rushed almost as fast as the bullet pierced the front tire of the car that swerved out of control in the darkness of the tunnel. It came to stop with a honking sound that faded to the ear of those three that sped their way to their side of town.
