Morning and night came on the farm in which four males not from there resided. An entire week went by of the calm scenery and of running errands so unlike the ones they were use to. The visit was beginning to feel like a temporary permanent stay which caused a panic at one point. Anxiety was starting to take over the city boys when they neared the end of their second week on the open plains. Thankfully for them, on a Sunday afternoon they received an unexpected visit.
Four men sat about the inside of the old home with creaky floors watching with the elder woman a drama they all would at the current time. Mrs.Kim was criticizing the lead actor's decisions while two of the four men disagreed with her, excluding her grandson and his best friend.
"He's acting like an idiot!" Mrs.Kim exclaimed while Jimin encouraged her with a nod of agreement.
"He is not!" Hoseok spat back. "He's trying to protect the one he loves!"
Mrs.Kim raised her finger to point straight at the eldest male. "You mean like you tried to do with Taehyung but ended up hurting him in the end?"
Hoseok sighed,"Grandma-"
"You know I'm right boy. Don't make me knock some sense into you." Mrs.Kim said with a glare before reaching into her bowl for another strawberry. Despite the small argument breaking out, the room hadn't tensed. It was a topic the two had clearly gone over. The elderly woman had pulled Hoseok from the three young men to speak with him one evening when they went to run some errands for her, however when they returned the two were still speaking.
"I think Mrs.Kim wins this argument..." Jungkook said."Again."
The woman won any and all the argument they'd have that it was not surprising anymore. They continued on to watch the plot unravel, at least Jungkook, Jimin and Mrs.Kim did. Hoseok and Taehyung spoke with eyes for a few minutes before standing without muttering a single word. One led the other outside where they stayed till the honking of a car ringed in the ears of them all. Taehyung came running back into the room with the widest smile on his face.
"Jin and Namjoon Hyung!"
Jimin and Jungkook sprinted out of the house followed by the elderly woman who took a lot longer. They jumped off the porch to greet the two males that were already being greeted with hugs. Upon catching sight of them however, Jin move Taehyung aside to take into his arms in a tight hug Jungkook. The youngest was gripped onto tightly by Jin then Namjoon who joined them. As not ruin the three's reunion, Jimin stepped aside and waited impatiently his own.
The three broke apart eventually, all looking happy while one's eyes teared up. Namjoon took Jimin at last into a hug and then so did Jin. They were joined by the other three in a group hug that was making them feeling complete, almost.
"Where's Yoongi?" Jin asked once they pulled away from each other.
The four aware of the couple's separation looked to Jimin as to have him answer the question. Jimin simply pressed his lips together and shrugged, he did not wish to speak of the unfortunate events between the two. Thankfully for him, the two elders understood with his simply actions. They all took themselves back inside where the newcomers were gladly welcomed by the owner who was beyond happy to see them after so long. She forced them all into the kitchen where they caught up with her.
"Oh boys you got to come visit me more often." Mrs.Kim whined as she caressed Namjoon's face which was pressed against her shoulder while Jin got to the cooking with the help of Jungkook. "What's new with you two?"
"Oh nothing much." Jin responded with a small grin that did not go unnoticed.
"Is that so?" Mrs.Kim chuckled. "That ring on your finger is telling me otherwise."
All eyes turned to the hand which gripped a knife tightly, a new addition was present. A round metal ring was visible and now screaming it's presence. Everyone gathered around to coo at the ring they thought to be singular until it's partner was called out. Namjoon's hand was put up to show his accessory as well.
"When did this happen!?" Hoseok exclaimed outrage. "You had none of our permissions to go do this!"
The outburst earned him a smack on the heard and a harsh order to go help in the food preparations. Jin showed off the matching rings with his now spouse before giving them all an apology for excluding them in a moment they wished for them all to be present.
"It was just an in the moment thing." Jin explained. "Something we needed to do now, it couldn't wait."
The reasoning behind the action was not shamed nor were they bashed for their impatience. Instead the friends congratulated the couple on such a big step and promised to celebrate properly with a party when the time was right but for now a simple dinner between them was all that could be done. Happy with the only uplifting news the friends shared the moment in the kitchen enjoying each other's presences except for one who slipped away when no one was looking his way.
Jimin breathed in the fresh air of the outside for the one inside was beginning to suffocate him.
The news of unity between his friends had him feeling joy for them but it couldn't help but remind him where he stood with his own lover. It had been two weeks now he'd gone without Yoongi and he'd be lying to say it wasn't destroying him. He had had no contact with him whatsoever except for the night when he reunited with his friend. The made heart was the only thing he'd send to the male which really said a lot but not enough.
Feeling crushed from his feelings, tears helped relieve the stingy pain in the young man heart's. Like the many nights before he let the waterworks fall down his face while shamefully he lowered his head and choked away the sound as to keep himself silent. There was a difference though this time, the cry became fueled with something more than thoughts when a black car appeared in blurry sight.
