Dear Wattpad Family,

Welcome! I'm so glad you decided to join us. Here's the deal: These are my second favorite Emerald Wattpad Awards that I've hosted, and I can't wait to get started! I'll tell you how it works. It'll be a little different from other awards you've probably seen, but that's okay! I'll walk you through it. You may request different mystery or thriller books that you have either read or written to be entered into the contest. If you have none, you can also apply for the position of a judge, which will be determining the position of each requested book. Unfortunately, due to lack of space and reading time, only ten to fifteen books (depending on negotiation), can be entered into the contest, and only three can make it to the scoreboard. However, if you would like, I am very flexible, so I may be able to fabricate a fourth and fifth place. Here are the notes, rules, and guidelines:

1. Starting tomorrow, October 8, 2020, I will announce the roles of judges and start excepting requests for thriller and/or mystery books.

2. Smut books are allowed. I don't care what the age range of the book is, as long as you believe it will make it to the winning podium.

3. You most definitely can enter your own book! If you think it's a work of art and will wow me, please do enter it! All of you have talent, and I can't wait to see it!

4. Please do not feel bad if your book doesn't make it to the final entry. Please note that it doesn't mean the book is bad, but there are only a few slots we can fill for books, as I have a tight schedule. I may be posting more awards in the future, so there are always more opportunities to prove your greatness!

5. ONLY mystery or thriller books, please. Like said before, I may be posting more awards in the future, but this particular Emerald Award is for thriller and mystery books only. Thank you for understanding!

6. You may ask for the position of a judge, and I will assign you. There will be only five judges, so first come, first serve, sign up quick! If you do get the luxury of being a judge, please come to me for your assignment through DMs. I will have you read sections of books, and we will come together to discuss them. 

7. You may enter as many books as you wish! You can enter three from one author, two from yourself, whatever you'd like! There is no limit to talent ;)

8. The next page of this book will be for signups of both categories (judge and books), as you will tag the name of the author, the name of the book, and whether they are writing a thriller or mystery. (For more information, please see page 2).
