Starr Tobias

"Stupid flies, stupid dirt, stupid sun, stupid heat" Starr screamed at her refelection in the lake. Hearing Khloes anxious whine Starr turned to face her puppy. "Hey Khlo, its okay puppy. I'm just a little bit pissed at the moment" she said as she ruffled the fur on the collies head. Opening up her bag, Starr took out a packet of sugar cubes and handed one to Muffin. Starr and her animal companions had been traveling for well over three hours and they all were tired. "I hate grandpa" she yelled as she tossed a rock into the lake. Quacking in excitement Delighla began to paddle out to where the rock landed in the middle of the lake. Noticing her duckling was getting further away Starr stepped out and grabbed her, pulling her back in. Once Delighla was safely on shore playing with Khloe Starr whipped out her phone and dialled Indiannas number. On the third ring she picked up. "Starr, darling where are you" Indiana whispered "Why are you whispering Indi? School finished like half an hour ago" Starr said as she dug out the dirt from under her fingers. "Well as a matter of fact I'm in your bedroom" Indianna whispered "WHAT!?!?!" Starr shouted as she began to choke on saliva. "When Mr and Mrs Shelby couldn't find you they rang the police. The whole town has been searching for you for the past hour, at least!" Indiana whisper-shouted into the phone. "Oh crud, what can I do?" Starr winged. "Well dont stop kept travelling" Indianna said. "Kay, I'll put you on speaker" Starr said as she squished her helmet iver her short unruly blonde hair. "I feel like Tracy from hairspray" Starr shouted over the sound of Muffins hooves thudding against the gravel "running away from police and everything" Starr imagined Indianna nodding at the phone before realizing that Starr couldn't see her. "Did you just nod?" Starr asked. "Shuddup" Indianna slurred "If your Tracy then I'm Penny. No joke. Mum and your grandfather have locked me in your bedroom till I tell them where you are. I just wish I had a Seaweed to come rescue me". "Oh yeah, poor single you" Starr taunted "anyway im nearly in the town". "How'd you get there so quick?" Indianna interrupted. "A cargo train went by, I hitched a lift" Starr answers. "REBEL!!" Indianna whisper-shouts. "Bla bla, whatever. Anyway when I get to the town square there is a Target. Im gonna go buy a wig" Starr says. "Ohh" Indianna squeals "someones at the window". "Its probably that dorkfus Lucas" Starr replies. "Yeah coming to see you, cause he loooves you" Indianna giggles as she begins to make kissy noises. "Bye Indi" Starr said as she hung up. Sighing Starr gently squeezed her heels into Muffins sides Starr and her animal companions took off.

Starr squinted as she looked at all the different wigs. Luckily the wig racks were right next to the window so she could keep an eye on Muffin and Khloe who were tied outside. "Long or short Deedee?" she whispered to the duckling in her pocket "Curly or straight?". Starr was browsing through the racks when she saw the perfect wig. It was a dead straight ice blonde wig with pastel blue ends. "Oh em wowzers" Starr whispered. Carefully she grabbed the wig and put it in her empty trolley. As she was walking to the check out she stopped. "I need new clothes" she whispered "Granny is sure to know what I took". Slowly Starr turned around and made her way to the girls clothes.

After spending fifty dollars on clothes and twenty-five on a wig Starr cautiously made her way to the bathrooms. Pushing open the disabled toilet door she rushed in and locked the door behind her. Quickly she braided her short hair and pinned it in a flat bun on the top of her hair. Then she pulled the wig on top and secured it down with bobby pins. Shaking her head she made sure it wouldn't come off. Happy with it she brushed it the top of her head and put it into a neat pony tail. Flicking it side to side she smiled at herself in the mirror. Looking at her duckling who was sitting on the toilet she said "clothes time!". Starr pulled out three shopping bags.
"Model number one is wearing, pink tribal pattern shorts with a tight denim midriff. Finished of with some white circle sunnies" Starr says in an announcers voice as she stands on the toilet lid and looks in the mirror. "Hmm, next" she says looking at Delighla. "Model number two is wearing, light denim shorts with a red midriff with the number thirty-eight. A cream cardigan to match " Starr says as she twirls infront of the mirror.
"Model number three, ripped denim shorts with a grey tee saying 'i hate Mondays' the look is finished with a black check flannel." Starr continues, giving herself a wink in the mirror. "Last but not least, model four. Blue stained denim jeans with a white midriff saying 'today's outfit' this is paired with a green cardie" Starr looks at Delighla "I like this the best, what do you think?".
Knock knock

"Hello, is anyone in there?" Starr heard and old lady's voice. "Ah yeah, sorry Miss, I'll be right out" Starr called. Quickly she tied the laces on her old converses. Throwing open the door Starr pushed out the trolley and walked towards the exit.

Starr had just finished packing all her stuff into the saddle bag when two boys walked up to her. "Hey pretty lady" The blonde said, his blue eyes twinkling in mischief. Starr scoffed and said "are you seriously talking to me?" "Yeah pretty lady I am talkin to you" he said as he poked me in the arm. "Dev, stop being a creep" the other boy says. His curly orange hair blows in the wind and his green eyes twinkle with anger. "Im so sorry. Im Elias, Elias Stils. But please call me Eli. Oh and this is Dev. He's our schools biggest player. But he also happens to be my good friend". Starr smiles a sympathetic smile "oh okay. Hi Eli. And hi Dev". "Whats your name, beautiful?" Asks Dev. Starr doesnt hesitate "Carter, Ella Carter". Starr is using her fathers mothers maiden name. "Nice to meet you Ella, may I ask where your headed" Eli asks. "Well to a place called Otterman ranch, im the new stable hand" Starr answers. "You have pretty hair" Dev whispers as he winds a strand from her ponytail around his finger. Starr wacks his hand away as Eli says "Cool, well Ella Carter, thats just happens to be where we are going". Smiling Starr jumps on Muffins back and rode slowly next to the two boys...
