Fate Reincarnates
I love you.
You mean everything to me. Through thick and thin, you've always been by my side, bringing smiles to my face and lighting up my eyes in ways I never thought possible.
You fill my mind with thoughts of you. You have given my life so much meaning that I find myself living only for you. You will forever be etched in my memory and am forever grateful for all that you have done for me.
I sat on the terrace, gazing at the sky. It was completely quiet. For most people, it was already nighttime, but my thoughts swirled around you.
The cold wrapped around me, the chilly breeze, as if feather lightly caressed my skin" Yet, that chill was neutralized by a candle lit inside of me. My heart began to surround itself with warmth, humming with the thought of you. It was quiet; only the wind spoke, yet my heart managed to shout with the thought of you.
Time has flown by, and I still can't get you out of my head. Ten years have passed, and yet my heart beats only for you.
Each attempt to forget you only deepens the ache in my heart.
You are my first love, the first person to step into my world. I remember seeing your face for the first time, a smile slowly creeping up towards my face. It felt so surreal, as if I were in a movie. Your eyes sparkled whenever you laughed, your lips had anyone in a chokehold, and your smile was so genuine. I remember forgetting everything around me; my eyes could only focus on you. You made the loud environment seem so quiet. In that moment, I knew you were meant for me. Hope filled me at the thought of meeting you again someday.
If I forget you, I forget my past and the future we could have shared together.
I sank to my knees, tears welling in my eyes. My heart raced wildly.
The memories of you that haunted me could be the reality we could have had.
I leaned my head against the wall behind me, and with one last glance at the starry sky, I closed my eyes and let the tears flow as I quietly said goodbye.
As I slowly opened my eyes, the world around me came into focus. The soft glow of the morning light spilled through the window, casting gentle shadows across the room. My heart still raced, remnants of the dream lingering in my mind like echoes of a distant melody.
I felt a light touch on my neck, and the murmur of voices broke through the haze of sleep. "Her pulse is fine," someone said, their tone a mix of concern and relief. Confused and still a bit dazed, I blinked a few times, trying to piece together where I was.
"Excuse me," I said, my voice a blend of irritation and fatigue. I yawned, stretching my body as if waking from a long hibernation. The reality of my surroundings began to settle in, but the weight of the dream still clung to me, a bittersweet reminder of what I had just experienced.
"Excuse me, miss, are you still okay? You seem a bit lost in thought," he said, concern etched on his face.
As I looked up at him, my gaze was instantly drawn to his. His deep green eyes had a way of captivating me, hinting at the mysteries they held. His brown hair, kissed by golden undertones, framed a face that could melt anyone's heart.
"I'm fine," I replied, still entranced by the captivating sight of him, his presence somehow both familiar and foreign.
"That's good to hear," he said, his smile warm and inviting, as if it could light up the dimmest corners of the terrace.
His dimples appeared, revealing deep, beautiful moles that added to his charm, making my heart flutter with a mix of admiration and intrigue.
"So, do you live nearby? Do you need any help getting home?" he asked, genuine concern lacing his words.
"No, thank you," I said, rising from my seat, a smile spreading across my face. "I actually live just a stone's throw away, and I adore visiting this terrace. It's such a beautiful spot to unwind and enjoy the view."
"It's just unusual for me to fall asleep here, so thank you for checking up on me," I added, my cheeks warming slightly as I realized how vulnerable I had been in that moment.
"Nothing to thank for. I actually live in that house nearby," he said, gesturing casually, his tone relaxed yet engaging.
"Good to know," I replied, my smile widening as I felt a spark of connection between us.
Silence enveloped us, the kind that felt thick with unspoken words, and the awkwardness began to build, creating an almost tangible tension in the air.
"I forgot I still have somewhere to go," I said, an awkward smile creeping onto my face as I glanced at my watch. "But hopefully we'll meet again?" I added, waving goodbye with a hint of hope in my voice, leaving the terrace in a hurry before he could respond.
As I walked away, a whirlwind of excitement and nervousness churned within me. It was strange how a simple conversation could leave such a profound impression on my heart and mind.
I had nowhere specific to go, but the memory of our souls connecting in that silent exchange was enough to propel me forward, urging me to leave as quickly as possible.
I strolled down the street, my thoughts consumed by the encounter. Who was that guy, and why had I never crossed paths with him before?
As I opened the door to my house, I quickly shut it behind me, taking a moment to steady my breath, my heart racing with the thrill of the unexpected.
I slipped off my jacket and shoes, then made my way to my bedroom, collapsing onto my bed as memories of our encounter flooded my mind.
His smile replayed in my thoughts, an endless loop that I couldn't shake.
With a sigh, I glanced at the clock; it was barely 1 PM, yet the day already felt like it was slipping away.
Thoughts of yesterday consumed my heart. I couldn't get him out of my mind; it felt like he was imprinted there forever.
My greatest hope remains to meet you again, always lingering in my heart.
Before my thoughts could spiral any further, I gathered myself, slipped on my jacket, and decided to take a stroll.
By now, it was noon. The sun hid behind the clock-like clouds, while the wind danced gently over the city.
"A café would be nice," I mused, scanning the streets for the nearest coffee shop.
Upon finding one, I stepped inside, immediately enveloped by the warmth and the delightful aroma of coffee.
As I glanced around, I noticed there weren't many people—just the way I liked it, with a touch of quiet and peace.
I approached the register and waited for the next employee to serve me. Lost in thought about the coffee, a voice suddenly interrupted me.
"Hello, ma'am. What can I get for you?" a male voice asked.
It sounded familiar. I looked up to see the cashier was the same guy I had met on the terrace.
A smile spread across my face.
Fate really loved surprising me. I would lie if I said I wasn't happy to see him again. His charm was something that could not leave for days!
"Nice to see you again," I smiled, feeling a flutter of excitement.
He returned my smile, clearly pleased to see me.
"Small world we live in, huh?"
"So you work here?" I asked.
"Not really; I'm just helping a friend out with this coffee shop," he replied.
This guy couldn't be more perfect, I thought.
"That's nice of you," I said, trying to keep the conversation flowing.
But it fell flat, and the awkward silence enveloped us both once more. My cheeks heating up lightly, trying to form new thoughts
"I'd like to have an espresso," I quickly said, hoping to break the tension.
"On it," he said, his smile widening, and those cute dimples appeared again. "One espresso coming right up! You want it with sugar or straight up?"
"Just straight, thanks," I replied, feeling a rush of warmth as he turned to prepare my drink.
I began my search for a table and settled in, slipping off my jacket and placing my purse down, making myself comfortable.
As I glanced over to the counter, I saw him preparing my coffee. His face was flawless, every detail captivating. His eyes held an allure and mystery, while his smile was the complete opposite—bright and enchanting. I found myself staring, taking in his strong physique, those muscles that seemed to hold power. Lost in thought, I didn't realize how long I had been watching until I quickly snapped back to reality, hoping no one noticed my gaze.
Just then, he approached with my coffee.
"Here you go, your espresso," he said with a smile.
"Thank you," I replied, returning his smile softly.
As I looked down at the espresso, I noticed a heart drawn in the foam. A smile spread across my face as I glanced back up at him, only to find him smiling right back at me.
I started sipping my coffee, grinning at the sweetness of this cute encounter and feeling a rush of excitement.
As I finished my coffee, I slipped on my jacket and grabbed my bag, ready to leave when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Just wanted to give you this," he said, handing me a piece of paper. "My number, just in case you need anything," he added with a smile.
I beamed back at him. "Thank you!" I replied, my heart fluttering.
Leaving the shop, I made my way home with a big smile on my face.
Once inside, I let out a loud squeak, still buzzing from the encounter with that guy. It was unbelievable. It's been ages since someone made me feel this excited. His eyes just stayed with me, you know?
Despite all the excitement, I'll always remember the boy who first entered my world.
It's those moments that stay with us, right?
