'Good morning Leigh,' Bonnie-Anne says as she and Mary-Anne come downstairs wearing matching sky blue tracksuit bottoms.

'Happy Saturday morning Leigh,' Mary-Anne says as she hugs me and sniffs the air. 'Mmm, something smells nice.'

'That should be my freshly brewed coffee,' I say and pour myself a cup. 'Would you like some?'

'No thanks.'

'So, where are you two going so early in the morning?'

'We're going for a jog, we need to exercise and also take a look around.'

'That's nice,' I say, sipping my coffee. I know they love to exercise but I didn't know they were this dedicated.

'Don't you wanna come with us?'

'I'll pass.'

'I thought you celebrities love to exercise.'

'You thought wrong. I only exercise when I feel like it.'

'You're just lucky because you have a figure that's immune to junk food. Oh well, we're off,' Bonnie-Anne says as she and Mary-Anne head out.

'Don't stay out too long and please don't do anything stupid,' I plead as they leave.

About an hour later, my sisters come back home and attack my fridge as they quickly pull out several bottled water and gulp them nonstop. I laugh at them as I relax on a sofa playing games on my phone.

'What's so funny?' Mary-Anne shoots me a glare and I laugh even more.

'How was your jog?' I ask.

'I'm exhausted.'

'Thought you could handle it?' I smirked and she responded with a tired groan. 'Why don't you two freshen up and then have your breakfast.'

'Good call,' she says and hurries upstairs, Bonnie-Anne shakes her head and also goes upstairs.

I go to the kitchen and make lots of pancakes for them because they love eating warm pancakes with chilled juice when they are tired and hungry. Hmm, sometimes it feels as if they're twins and I'm their older sister. Maybe it's because I'm more responsible than the two of them together would ever be in an entire lifetime.

'I need a nap!' Mary-Anne announces.

Bonnie-Anne smirks. 'You can dream about your prince charming while at it.'

Mary-Anne scoffs and states, 'He's not my prince charming.'

'But he was so totally into you.'

'I don't care, I'm not into him and that's that.'

'So who's this "prince charming"?' I ask.

'Oh it's just this really cute guy we met during our jog. We talked for a while and he seemed to be very nice, he also seemed to like Mae but turns out she doesn't like him back, poor guy.'

'Whatever,' Mary-Anne says and lies down on the sofa, covering her face with a pillow.

'Hey Leigh, why don't we invite your friends over for dinner? It's been so long since I've seen them and it would be really nice for them to come over, you know, for a family and friends dinner night,' Bonnie-Anne suggests.

Mary-Anne literally leaps from the sofa and floats into the kitchen. 'Wow Bonnie that's actually not a bad idea.'

'Uh thanks.'

'And we can cook dinner ourselves. Which means you can take a break Leigh.'

'No no, there's no need for that, I can take care of the cooking,' I protest.

'You've been taking care of the cooking for over a year now, let us take care of it just for tonight.'

I nod and sigh, not having the energy to oppose them.

My sisters hug and exchange pleasantries with my best friends as they make their way into my house.

Jade, Jesy and Perrie have been my best friends for seven years. We met after secondary school at a coffee shop. Perrie accidentally poured hot coffee on Jesy and while Jade and I tried to help out, Perrie promised to pay for all our coffee and we all sat at the same table and chatted. We started meeting up more often and have been best friends ever since.

The good old days.

'Thanks for inviting us over for dinner,' Jade says.

'Oh it's nothing. Leigh's friends are our friends too,' Bonnie-Anne grins as she leads them to the dining table.

'Now ladies, for dinner we're having tuna casserole with chopped carrots. And for dessert, we're having blueberry muffins,' Mary-Anne says excitedly.

'Mmm, I can't wait to eat,' Jesy says and rubs her hands together as my sisters serve the food with smiles and I can't help but wonder.

I take a bite of the casserole and instantly look up at my sisters who seem to be enjoying the meal. Then I look at my best friends who are glaring at me. They're obviously mad at me for letting my sisters cook dinner that people were going to eat. I honestly thought their cooking had improved that's why I let them cook.

I quickly swallow in order to escape the bad taste and watch as my best friends push their plates away.

'We're ready for the dessert now,' Perrie says sweetly as she downs a glass of water.

'So soon? But you've barely touched your food,' Bonnie-Anne says.

'We're just more in the mood for something sweet,' Jesy says as she breathes with her mouth open.

Jesy.

'Alright.' Bonnie-Anne serves the muffins to the girls and I take one for myself. I and my best friends watch in awe as my sisters finish their food. I swear, these girls have dead taste buds.

There is a knock on the door and I go to answer it. I open the door and smile as I see a familiar woman.

'Hello Mrs Leighton, nice to see you. Please come in.'

Mrs Leighton is one of my closest friends and one of the nicest people in the entire world. She always comes to visit when I am sick and somehow it feels good to have a motherly figure close to you and to look after you, especially since my mum lives far away.

'There's no need for that. I came to invite you to my get-together this evening by eight. It's just going to be a few family members and close friends.'

I couldn't help but feel flattered that she sees me as a close friend. 'I'm sorry for the last minute invitation. It's just, I've been busy preparing and since you don't live that far away I thought---'

I didn't let her finish. 'Of course I'll be there Mrs Leighton, thanks for inviting me.' I smile and shut the door as she leaves.

'Who was that?' Mary-Anne asks with a mouthful of muffin.

'That was Mrs Leighton, she's a very good friend of mine.'

'Oh is it the nice pretty old lady?' Perrie asks.

'Come on, she's not that old,' I defend. Sure, Mrs Leighton is fifty years old but she looks half her age and is just absolutely beautiful. Her black pixie cut hair with tints of grey suits her well and she has an amazing figure which makes her comfortable in jeans.

'She invited me to a get-together.'

'I hope you didn't refuse,' Mary-Anne says, obviously excited at the mention of a party.

'How could I?'

Mary-Anne shrieks. 'Great! I'll get my party clothes.'

'You're not invited,' I quickly state and her mood glooms.

'I have to go get ready, I can't be late after Mrs Leighton came here to personally invite me,' I say as I stand up. Jade, Jesy and Perrie briskly follow my pace.

'Thank you for the dinner,' Jade says.

'We should leave now before it gets late,' Jesy says.

'Bye, see you later,' I say as they leave and I go to my room.

I try on a couple of clothes until I finally make up my mind. I put on a pink shirt with matching shoes and white shorts that aren't too short. I finish up with red lipstick and pout as I check myself out in the mirror. That should do it.

'Looking good Leigh.' I hear a familiar voice to mine from behind me and gasp as I turn around to see my sisters grinning at me.

'Thanks.'

'You sure we can't come?' Mary-Anne asks. She's always been a party freak and it's scary sometimes.

'No you can't. I'm not ruining my perfect reputation by bringing you two with me,' I say as I make my way downstairs and out of the house. 'Oh and please don't fight until I get home and no golf or baseball in my house. You're free to do whatever you want when you're outside, okay?' They nod as I leave the house.

I don't have a good feeling leaving those two alone in my house. I would have to return home early if I want to see my house in one piece.
