I watch as Mary-Anne downs the whole tub of icecream. I still can't believe what she told me five minutes ago. Just as I am trying to save my sister from Shawn, the other sister falls in love with him. Now what am I going to do?

'How? When?' I ask, she just has to explain to me.

'I don't know,' she says with a shrug. 'I guess I've always been in love with him, just that I didn't want to show it.'

'What do you mean you've always been in love with him?' I am getting even more confused now. 'You clearly said that you didn't like him.'

'I did like him, in fact, I loved him. I was only playing hard to get, I didn't know he was going to fall in love with my sister,' She says and I facepalm, leaving my palm on my face for a few more seconds, trying to process what she said.

So all this while she was just playing hard to get? Really?? Really???

'But you know what? This wedding is not happening,' She says confidently, using the back of her hand to wipe the icecream that had smeared on her lips.

'Why do you say so?' I ask, eyeing her.

'Because I'm going to get my Shawn back.'

I blink in surprise. 'Your what?'

'Shawn is mine and mine only. It was bad enough that he was dating Bonnie and now he wants to get married to her. No, I can't lose him.'

'You never had him.'

'I would have if Bonnie never stole him from me!'

'No she didn't.'

'Then how come they're together?'

'I don't know, I guess she was also in love with him but still, she tried to make you accept him but you stated that you were not interested.'

'But I was.'

'Then why did you say you weren't?'

'Because I wanted him to fight for my love, I wanted to see how much he loved me.'

'Well you've seen it now, he doesn't love you.' I say, trying to convince her that Shawn doesn't really love her, hoping that she will let him go so that I would only have to deal with Bonnie-Anne.

'I know he does. All this is Bonnie's fault!'

'What? No it's not.'

'Yes it is and stop trying to defend her. I'm gonna get my Shawn back and nobody is gonna stop me.' With this, Mary-Anne stomps upstairs.

Well, that escalated quickly.

I pace the room thinking of what next to do. If I can't talk Bonnie-Anne into leaving Shawn then convincing Mary-Anne will be a lot harder because she is more headstrong. My phone rings, snapping me out of my thoughts and I pick it immediately without looking at the caller.

'Hey Sheldon.'

'Leigh-Anne, I have some news for you but I don't know if it'll be good or bad.'
'What is it?' I ask, trying to guess what he could possibly want to tell me.

'My brother, Shane, just called me and told me that Shawn got engaged to Bonnie-Anne.'

'Yeah, just found out myself. It's funny because she left my house just this morning.'

'What are we going to do now? We can't let Bonnie-Anne get married to Shawn.'

It makes me happy that he sees my problems as his and wants us to handle it together.

'I think I have a plan, and I'll need you to come over to my house,' I tell him.

SHELDON'S POV

I gently knock on Leigh-Anne's door not wanting to be too loud since she is already expecting me. Leigh-Anne opens the door and stares at me like I'm a stranger. Weird. I notice she's wearing a different hairstyle from the last time I saw her. 'I like your new hairstyle, it's nice,' I compliment and smile, hoping to change her expression but it doesn't.

'Uh thanks. Um, I'm sorry but who are you?' She asks and I freeze. What?

Wait a minute, now I get it; the hair and the voice. Her voice is a bit hoarse compared to Leigh-Anne's pleasant voice, so she is definitely not my Leigh-Anne. She must be Mary-Anne.

'I'm Sheldon and I'm here to see Leigh-Anne.'

'Sheldon! Nice to finally meet you!!' she exclaims and throws her arms around me in a hug.

'Nice to finally meet you too,' I say and pat her back awkwardly.

'Come on in!' She offers as she opens the door wider and steps aside for me to enter.

'So nice to have you over, Sheldon. Oh! Please, have a seat, I'll let Leigh-Anne know you're here,' she says to me and goes upstairs then comes back down after a while. 'She'll be down in a few. In the meantime, what would you like to take? Coffee? Tea? Scones? Wine? There's nothing wrong with having a little wine in the morning.'

'No thank you, I'm good.'

'Leigh-Anne never stops going on and on about you, you know,' She drawls as she sits opposite me and squints her eyes. 'Hmm, you look familiar.'

I shrug.

'You know what--' She is cut short when Leigh-Anne comes downstairs and interrupts her.

'Mae, don't you bore him with your tales,' Leigh-Anne warns.

'I was just trying to keep him company since you took so long to come down,' Mary-Anne responds quickly.

'And thank you for that,' Leigh-Anne says as her sister smiles at me and goes into the kitchen. 'Welcome to my home Sheldon.' She hugs me.

'It's beautiful, couldn't stop looking around when I came in.'

She laughs shyly. 'Thank you, I designed it myself.'

'Oh so you're also an interior designer?'

'No, it's just a hobby,' She replies and blushes.

'Aren't they supposed to be here by now?' I ask and look at my watch.

'They should be, but let's give them a little more time,' she says as we sit on the couch and have a chat.

I had called Bonnie-Anne earlier and apologised to her for not being supportive of her relationship and told her that I will accept Shawn because I want her to be happy. I asked her to come over with Shawn so we can have a proper introduction and plan for the engagement ceremony. Sheldon had also called Shawn and did the same.

There is a knock on the door and Mary-Anne shouts from the kitchen, 'I'll get it! Don't want anyone disturbing you two lovebirds.'

'Never mind Mae, I'll get it, besides I'm closer to the door,' I shout back and quickly go to open the door. The last thing I want is for Mary-Anne to see Bonnie-Anne and Shawn together and ruin my plan.

She comes out of the kitchen with a platter in her hand. 'Alright Leigh, whatever you say. I'll be upstairs if ya need me.'

I smile in relief, good thing she will be upstairs eating. 'Sure Mae, take your time,' I say and open the door.

'Hey Leigh,' Bonnie-Anne greets and hugs me tightly.

'Nice to see you too Bonnie,' I respond breathlessly.

'Oops sorry!' she says and lets me go. 'I'm just so excited.'

'Won't you mind introducing me?' I ask, eyeing the man beside her.

'Oh! Leigh, this is Shawn and Shawn, this is my sweet sister Leigh-Anne.'

Shawn extends a hand to me and I shake it in return. 'It's such a pleasure to meet you Leigh-Anne, Bonnie-Anne has told me a lot about you.'

'The pleasure is all mine. Please come in.' I step aside, letting them in.

'Shawn! It's so great to see you again,' Sheldon says as he pulls his brother in for a hug and I try to signal to him to stop overacting.

'Great to see you too bro,' Shawn responds.

After breaking from the hug, Sheldon turns to Bonnie-Anne. 'And you must be Bonnie-Anne.'

'Yes I am. It's so great to finally meet you, Sheldon. Leigh never stops going on and on about you. I was really eager to meet this mystery man that stole my sister's heart. Now I can see why; you're quite the charmer,' she replies him and playfully pinches my cheeks.

'Wow, I wonder how your mother was able to tell you three apart,' Sheldon says as we all sit.

'Trust me, it wasn't easy at all, especially when we were up to mischief,' I say, making everyone laugh.

'Thank you, Leigh, for accepting my relationship with Shawn. To be honest, I wasn't really comfortable knowing you were not in support of us but now that you are, you have made me extremely happy,' Bonnie-Anne says and holds my hand. 'And Sheldon, I'm really very sorry for all the bad things I said about you, it was so immature of me.'

'It's okay, we forgive you,' Sheldon says and looks at me. He is so sweet.

'Aww thanks guys, you're the best!' Bonnie-Anne blows us a kiss and Shawn clears his throat about to speak.

'I'm also very sorry for all that went wrong between us, I hope that it doesn't cause any bridge in our relationships. I'm also very grateful for your support of our relationship, it really means a lot to us,' he says and smiles at me and Sheldon. No wonder Bonnie-Anne and Mary-Anne are so captivated by him, he's handsome and has a very nice voice. Ugh.

'Anything to make my Bonnie happy,' I say so he gets it clear that I'm only doing this for my sister and not because I like him.

'So, when is the engagement party?' Sheldon asks.

'What party?' Shawn asks back.

'To celebrate your engagement silly!' I say.

'Oh yeah! We could have it this Friday,' Bonnie-Anne suggests excitedly.

'Great, Sheldon and I will help out with the preparations,' I say.

'Thanks so much sis, that will be much appreciated. The party can be held at Shawn's house, right Shawn dear?'

'Yeah sure,' he replies unsurely.

'Awesome, then everything's settled,' Bonnie-Anne concludes and clasps her hands together.

Soon we're all discussing about the engagement ceremony when we hear the sound of something break. We turn around on cue to see Mary-Anne and there's pieces of broken china in front of her. Oh no, not my china plate.

OH NO! WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE?!
