No Control (Part 2)
Niall's POV:
I sat with Liam in the living room while Jiselle was still upstairs with Bear. After Jiselle attacked me, it really made me start thinking about things. I realize now, how Lyndsey feels and views this topic. Me, knowing the whole story, views this differently. Why can't they just hear me out before freaking out?
"What the hell is going on, Niall?" Liam asked.
"Well, in case it isn't obvious already, there is a boatload of things going on between Lyndsey and me," I began. "Some pictures were snapped regarding Hailee and me so Lyndsey saw those and then before you know it, she caught me texting Hailee."
"Damn bro," Liam exclaimed. "You are most definitely in the dog house."
"Can you give me a chance to explain!" I snapped.
Liam put up his hands and his eyes widened. He gave me a second to calm down before he put his hands down so I could continue.
"What you don't know is that I started running into Hailee at random places and before you know it she started texting me." I articulated.
"What were you texting?"
"Dumb stuff, she started messaging me about a song she was putting together. She essentially wanted my opinion on that, then she messaged me about a movie role she was thinking about doing. Weird stuff like that."
"That is weird," Liam admitted.
"I should have just ignored her text messages."
"It would have saved you from all this trouble." Liam pointed out.
I leaned forward and rested my arms on my legs while I looked down at the ground and said, "That's not even the worst part."
"What do you mean?"
I lifted my head and looked around, to make sure that there weren't additional ears listening. Yes, I am referring to Jiselle.
"I slept with a girl," I whispered.
"A girl? What girl?"
"Shh," I shushed.
"Oh, sorry. What girl?" Liam repeated quietly.
"A complete stranger," I confessed. "It meant absolutely nothing to me. I was so wasted at the bar, not to mention heartbroken."
Liam's mouth dropped before he buried his face in his hands. His reaction was not good. Not only did I regret this mistake but Liam regretted it for me. How am I an absolute idiot?! What is wrong with me?
"Oh Niall," Liam sighed. "You really have made a mess of things."
"You think?"
"How do I fix this, Liam?"
"You need to talk to Lyndsey, bottom line," Liam recommended.
"What if she won't hear me out?"
"Make her hear you out!" He urged. "If you have to, camp outside her house until she hears the whole story from you!"
I gained so much confidence by just talking with Liam. I had the urge to fly back to California and do what I have to, in order to get Lyndsey to hear my side of the story. To tell her what was going on with Hailee and to admit to my mistake but more importantly to tell her that I love her. Deep down, I am worried that she will want nothing to do with me in the end. I hope I didn't permanently screw things up.
