This Changes Everything
Darkiplier creeped through the shadows, his normal way of travel. Using his cane, he was able to transcend back to his own universe.
He felt a little battered but that wouldn't stop him.
'Damn idiots, they are' Dark ripped off what was left of his black suit jacket, throwing it on the ground.
'What was that gun?' he shook his head, 'It doesn't matter. It didn't do all that much damage to me'
He fixed his tie and looked up at the large manor he had created, wiping the blood off of his mouth. He cracked his back and neck and walked up the steps as gracefully as he could, opening the door.
'I don't have a lot of time. I need power and fast but since those bastards keep getting away, perhaps I need to try a different route.'
He made his way fast to one room in particular but kept getting stopped along the way.
"Hiya Dark!" an android greeted him less mechanically than you'd think.
"Hello Bing."
"Dark! You're back already!? Would you like a snack?" another one tried to give him a jar of peanut butter.
"Hello King and no thank you. I'm not hungry"
"Dark! Y-you're back ear-early" another one with a stutter muttered softly to him, "Is everything okay?"
"Don't worry, Eric. Everything is just fine. Please go make sure Yancy doesn't lock himself in the basement again?"
Eric just nodded and ran off.
"DARK!" Yandere appeared in front of him very abruptly.
Dark stopped and sighed, "Yes, Yandere? What can I do for you?"
"What? You didn't think of anything yet? We're running out of rooms here and no one else can bunk anymore. What do you plan on DOING about it!?"
"I'm working on it, Yandere. Don't worry about it"
Just as he said that, a microphone was in his face.
"You heard it here first, folks! Darkiplier is WORKING on it! But as he says that, more and more egos keep popping up every day with no end in sight!"
"It's fine. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Sure it's cramped but soon I'll have the solution. I promise."
The Jims didn't look satisfied but Yandere helped usher them off regardless, knowing the dangerous look in Dark's eyes.
Dark glanced off into the living room. The Jims had been right. Two more egos, a noir man in black and white and a 'Stan the water man' were getting briefed on the living situation and everything about their universe by Google. Not really a good start for them here but Dark would do something about it later. He always did.
He had more meetings now than ever.
Dark continued on his way to that one particular person he was looking for.
'I don't want to do this. . . . But if I don't, then . . .. .' he didn't want to think about it.
Dark knocked on the door and waited for it to open.
'Maybe I don't need their power after all. If they can't damage me, then how will their energy possibly be of any use? There has to be another way'
The door opened and a man with a blindfold welcomed him inside immediately.
"Hello, Dark. I saw your ordeal. Perhaps the next visit will-"
"Change of plans, Host." Darkiplier stopped him, "There has to be something better we can use. I think they hit me with all they had and it still wasn't enough. It won't . . it just won't be enough."
"Host was intrigued by Darkiplier's outlook but figured he could indulge him in another opportunity"
Dark rolled his eyes, "This is no time for your jokes or narration. We need to hurry"
"All good things come with patience" Host countered, "But I understand . . . Perhaps we could try that other universe. You know the one"
Dark knew of what he was referencing and shrugged his shoulders, "I suppose. But isn't he useless now?"
"Not him . . . . HER"
Dark fell silent and started to think, planning everything in his head already and he nodded, "Very well . . . I see where you're going. That just might work. You think that'll be enough?"
"The Host was certain but didn't want to give Darkiplier any false hopes in case he botched this plan as well"
"You're lucky you're useful, Host"
With that, Dark turned to leave the room.
He had another plan and this time, he wouldn't let anything stand in his way even if he had to kill.
Anti was in trouble and he knew he was. After that man, Darkiplier, said so many strange things, how COULDN'T they want answers?
They were all in Evans pocket dimension which looked like a replica of his old apartment where all the windows showed a different universe instead of landscapes like their REAL place. It was how Evan and the others were able to watch all the Septics in their fight against Antisepticeye.
"Anti"
He flinched, sparking a little as Chase marched over to him.
"Y-yeah?"
The father didn't look to be in a playing around mood, though, "You mind telling us what exactly that guy meant back there?"
Here is was. He knew this might eventually happen but he was hoping it wouldn't.
"Wh- . . .what do you mean? You can't trust anything that guy says! We don't know him!" Anti tried to cover himself.
But even Jameson and the KIDS were giving him looks of uncertainty.
"Anti" Jackie came forward and put his hand on his shoulder, "It's obvious. Please just tell us? We won't get mad. You've done nothing but protect us since we met you. We trust you"
Chase sighed, knowing Jackie was right, "Look . . . . we all have our secrets. But keeping them from each other in dire moments like this won't help anyone. If there IS something you're keeping from us, Anti, then we need to know"
They all stared at him, begging for an answer.
"I . . . .. I . . . . no, you'll hate me for it. It's not like it matters. Nothing will come from it anyway. It's taken care of"
"Zhen you won't mind sharing?" Henrik was itching to know, "We've been pissed off at a lot of things before, Anti, zhis surely wouldn't be the first or last thing you've done to irk us. We'll get over it, though"
'Please just trust US' Jameson sighed to him and then made a heart with his hands.
"Don't make me wring it out of you with magic" Marvin was less forgiving.
Anti touched his marble necklace out of habit, trying to find strength in himself.
He knew he was terrified. What he did wasn't right.
But maybe they'd forgive him for it later.
Anti took a deep breathe and rubbed at his dewy eyes, nodding. He knew they were right.
" . . . .Almost a year ago. . . . after the fight when I ripped out my eye from Antisepticeye's head . . .I took back my original power and strength. . . but also . . I stole HIS"
They all gave him a strange look.
Marvin shrugged his shoulders and waved his hands around, "Okay . . .and? THAT'S your big secret? Fat lot of good that power did us, huh?"
"Well . . . I actually didn't use it against Darkiplier-"
"Hello?!" Chase looked like he wanted to pop him upside the head, "And why DIDN'T you!?"
"Yeah" Jackie agreed, "Maybe we could have actually KILLED Darkiplier if you had. This would all be over by now"
Anti shook his head, "No . . it wouldn't. . . because I can't use Antisepticeye's power in me. I tried months ago. It was too much. My body was corrupting."
Eva cleared her throat to get his attention, "But then why could HE use YOUR power at the time if that's the case?"
"Because he didn't care if his body got corrupted or not. He didn't care if he died as long as he was able to kill us. If he had kept the Pheno energy and my power inside of him alongside his own, he wouldn't have lived long. It's just a hypothesis but it kept pretty clear to me when I tried"
Henrik nodded, "It sounds viable. I believe you, Anti. But how are you able to KEEP zhe power and not use it?"
Anti tapped on the marble around his neck, "It's in here. Another reason to keep this thing close."
Henrik nodded in understanding, "But one thing still doesn't match up here"
"What's that, doc?" Jackie asked him.
Henrik fixed his glasses and crossed his arms, "Why would Darkiplier think something like zhis would cause discourse among us? It makes no sense"
"Unless. . ." Marvin eyed Anti up and down, analyzing the way he held himself, still nervous, "Unless that's not all of the secret. There's more . . . isn't there, Anti?"
Anti tugged slightly at his own hair and held himself, "I . . . . I know what you guys THINK you saw back then. After the fight"
They were all getting nervous now.
Anti couldn't stop himself from tearing up again, "I . .. I didn't . . I thought I could do it. I thought I could . . .. I tried. .. "
Jackie didn't like where this was going, "Anti . . .please tell me you didn't-"
Anti bit his lip, trying not to look at them, "I'm sorry."
One by one, they all started to understand.
Chase shook his head, "No . . .no . . .what?"
Marvin closed his eyes, "It looked like you had killed him."
Jameson had a look of pure terror in his eyes, remembering it all.
Jackie sighed, "But you didn't . . . . did you?"
He couldn't say.
He couldn't look at them.
They wouldn't understand.
How could they understand?
Far off in another universe, there was a bustling city with tons of people clamoring about and shoving each other along to get to their own destination.
It was a brisk day out, cloudy and a little rainy.
A man with a suitcase was trying to get into a bus only for his suitcase to shoot open suddenly.
All his papers for work were blowing in the wind so he rushed to grab at as many as he could.
Some papers were more important than others. Unfortunately, some papers blew into a nearby alley and he was too enraptured in chasing after them he didn't notice the danger he was in.
Just as he was in the middle of the alley, he finally grabbed the last paper.
But it was too late.
Suddenly a knife was at the man's throat and he was thrown into the wall behind a dumpster so no one could see him struggle.
The attacker covered the man's mouth and lightly grazed the knife along his neck.
"Such a shame . . . to be so powerless. . . like a fucking sheep chasing after your next meal"
The attacker groaned and sliced deep into the man's throat, paying no mind to how he struggled and begged under his hand. In seconds, he was dead and the attacker let him fall to the ground.
He cleaned his knife on his shirt and snorted to himself, "You know . . . I used to be a fucking king of the cosmos. . . going to whatever universe I pleased. Killing whoever I wanted. . . and now look at me. . . ."
He snarled and bent down to rummage through his wallet and pockets, "I've resorted to killing weak idiots like you for money because those damned Septics wouldn't just fucking DIE"
Antisepticeye picked the man up after he was done stealing from him and threw him in the dumpster. He pulled his hood up and stuffed the knife back into the back of his jeans.
He itched at the eyepatch he sported since Anti had stolen his eye back from him, 'Fucking thing. I swear . . . if I ever see that traitor prick again, I'm going to do more than rip out his fucking eyes. If I ever DO see him again. . . . . .'
The thing was, after Anti took HIS powers, he was unable to ever glitch again. He was stuck where Anti put him. Forever.
Right?
