"Party?"

"Yeah a party" she paused rolling her eyes. "I thought I'd throw a little Welcome Back party for you" Savannah fakes a smile.

"Sorry I'm not interested. I'm sure you don't want pigs at your party" I roll my eyes and walk away from her.

"Look Mel. We used to be friends, I'm just trying to maybe get us..you know, back on track"

"Read my lips" I pause. "I'm not going"

"Fine. But your still invited if you change your mind" she waves and walks away.

I can't believe her. She knows I wouldn't just fall for that.

When I turn around I run into what feels like a wall. I watch as all my belongings fall to the floor.

"Hey are you okay?" A deep voice asks, as my eyes latch to his.

He was gorgeous. OML.

"U-Uh yeah" I reply, bending down and retrieving my stuff.

"Hey don't worry, let me get that" he pauses, grabbing my things. "Sorry I should've seen where I was going"

"No it's my fault, I shouldn't be standing in the middle of the hallway" I laugh.

He just stared into my eyes.

"Um well Hi I'm William" he pauses. "But you can call me Will" he chuckles. "Sorry I suck at introductions"

"Me too" I laugh. "I'm Melanie. You can call me Mel"

"Well Mel, what class do you have next?" He asks as we walk side by side.

"I have Chemestry" I pause. "You?"

"I have that too! Maybe we can be lab partners" he smiles.

"Actually I already have a partner" I shake my head.

"Oh yeah isn't that tumblr boy your lab partner?" He rolls his eyes.

"His name is Shawn and yes" I chuckle. "Tumblr boy?"

"Yeah you know, perfect hair, face, everything. He basically can get any girl he wants" he rolls his eyes.

"He's actually not a bad guy once you get to know him" I shrug.

"Oh let me guess, You like him"

"No I dont" I laugh. "We're just friends"

"No I don't" she laughs. "Were just friends"

No words could be more empty than that.

I felt like I've just been shot through the heart. I mean I was just walking to Chem and I overhear her saying my name, then she said she was just my friend.

Why do I love a girl who doesn't love me?

Look at this guy, he's buff, charming smile, great hair...I mean damn, I don't even get a chance. I know I could treat her better than this guy. He just a tool.

"Hey Shawn" Melanie slowly smiles.

"Hey Mel" I wave, catching up with her and this other guy.

"So I heard that we're taking notes in class today" Mel sighs.

"Yeah why don't you introduce us Mel" I spit, making eye contact with him.

"Um sure. Shawn this is Will. Will this is Shawn" she smiles walking ahead of us.

"William Rivers?" I question.

"Yeah, Mendes" he squints.

"Break her heart, I break you" I spit. "Got it?"

"You think I'm scared of you?" He laughs. "Try me"

"Will! Shawn! We're gonna be late for class!" Melanie shouts.

"Coming!" We say in unison.
