"What?!" I say. "I-I can't leave again mom!" I stutter, I cannot leave again...I just came back! I can't leave Shawn again...he means too much to me.

"Well fine! If you want you can stay with your father but if you do you will never see me again." She says looking at me seriously. 

"Mom you can't give me that type of ultimatum! That's not fair!" I say as she rolls her eyes. 

"Life isn't fair Mel! Life isn't skittles and rainbows! It's all full of shit and you need to learn that!" She yells as I shake my head feeling tears escape my eyes. 

"Yeah believe me I know life sucks! How do you think I'll fell going back to Ohio with you huh? Not having any friends and cutting myself again! But of course you don't care because you are at work all goddamned day! So save it Mom! I know my life is shit but at least I can admit it instead of keeping my mouth shut for almost 15 years!" I yell. 

"I had no choice! I did what was best!" She says as I put my hand up. 

"Just save it" I mutter. "I'm staying here with dad-"

"No you're-" she starts but I glare at her. 

"I am staying here with dad weather you like it or not. I'm sorry but I'm not just gonna drop everything that I've built up..." I sigh. "Hope you have a nice flight back to Ohio" I say walking away. 

"Where are you going?" She asks. 

"Out. As if it ever mattered to you anyway" I sigh heading downstairs and out the door. I'd really hate to bug Anyone right now but I need someone to talk to. So I dial a number into my phone and sigh. 

"Hey what's up?" he says after the first ring. 

"Um hey Will..." I trail off with a slight laugh. "Um is it okay if I come over? I know it's late but I really need someone to talk to" I ask as he chuckles. 

"Sure Melanie" he says using my full name, somehow making it sound better with his voice. "I hope you don't mind messy hair, pajamas, and call of duty" he chuckles as I crinkle my nose. 

"Call of duty? William I know you could do better than that" I tease. 

"Okay okay. How about GTA then mil'lady?" He says cutely. 

"Oh why you sure know how to treat a lady" I laugh. "Okay I'll be over in 5" I say as he says bye. Once I walk over to his house, which isn't that far from mine at all, he opened the door with a wide smile. 

"Hey Melanie" he says as I feel my heart stop. He looks so good in his messy hair and red and black plaid pajama pants. 

"Hey" I smile, hugging him and then pecking his lips. 

"Hm I wonder if this is technically a date before the date"he chuckles. 

"Hm I guess it is" I bite my lip and tug on the collar of his shirt pulling his lips to mine again. 

"Ohhh frisky. I like it" he laughs, kissing me again. I hear something from behind him and I jump cautiously. 

"Hey it's okay my parents aren't gonna be home for a week and my sister is never home" he pauses as I see a cute black lab approaching us. 

He has a sister?

"Oh my goodness!" I say crouching down as the dog ran towards me. It couldn't stop licking my face and it's eyes were just so big and doll like. 

"That's bailey" he smiles, kneeling next to me. "I can tell he likes you" he laughs as my face feels like it's getting attacked. 

"Yeah me too" I giggle. "Hi bailey!" I say in a childish voice. 

"Alright let's go upstairs" he smiles. "After you" he bows cutely with a cheesy smile. 

"Thank you my noble knight" I giggle, heading up the stairs. Bailey followed us into William's room and he already had popcorn and some movies on his bed. 

"I figured maybe we could watch a movie or something if that's cool with you" he says as I blush. 

"You are so cheesy" I laugh. "But yes I would love to watch a movie with you"

In the middle of the movie Melanie has me pause it so she could go to the bathroom. Which i didn't mind at all. As soon as she left Bailey gave me a look he never gave me before, which I can only assume was..

I like her. 

"Yeah I know" I chuckle to myself. "But I feel guilty..." I trail off unable to meet Bailey's gaze. My phone lights up from beside me and it reads savannah. 

Savannah: 

So how's the date going brother? 

I quickly text back. 

Will:

Savannah stay out of it. 

Will:

And I'm far from your brother. So don't call me that. 

Savannah: 

Aww trouble in paradise? I told you she was a tease. 

Will: 

She not a tease. She's far from that. I'm starting to reconsider this entire thing. 

Savannah: 

Oh, I get it. You're falling for her! Wow that so rich Will! But if I do remember correctly, we have a deal. Fall for her, fine. But remember you still have to break her heart once Shawn is mine. And she for once will have nothing. If you do not go through with this then you will have nothing and be nothing in the snap of my fingers. 

Savannah: 

Are we clear?

Will: 

Yeah. Whatever. 

I shut my phone off and sigh. I can't break her heart, but I have too. How is that fair? If she has Shawn why can't I have Melanie?

We would both win...

And I will.
