Will felt a pulse. He felt the hand he'd been gripping onto move so slightly, he might've missed it. And as he looked up, ever so slowly, the eyes he'd been longing to look at fluttered open. 

He heard the boy say something, 'Will.'

And the medic said back, 'Nico.'

Tears flowed from Will's eyes again, 'Nico. Nico, oh Sunshine... don't ever do that again, ok?'

Nico nodded a little as Will cupped his cheeks. 'Don't you ever leave me again, di Angelo, you hear that? You're not allowed to melt into a puddle unless I'm there with you. You're not allowed to summon a wishbone unless I'm there to catch you when you fall. And never ever are you being allowed out of my sight again.'

'Doctor's orders, Nico.' The son of Hades chuckled weakly and Will sighed and fed the boy a spoon of unicorn draught. The color slowly returned to Nico's face and a light pink blush dusted his cheeks. 

'H-how long was I out, W-will?' Nico's voice came out strained and raspy as the son of Apollo motioned for him to lie down.

'Three days, Nico di Angelo.' He answered, 'Three whole days without you. Three whole fricking days that I was so worried. Do you have any idea how scared all of us were? With Leo gone and so many other campers dead and NOW YOU?' Will's voice raised as his breathing became unsteady. 'THREE DAYS, NICO. THREE DAYS THAT I COULDN'T SLEEP, THREE DAYS THAT I WAS SO STRESSED AND SCARED. SCARED...' 

The boy burst into tears now as he fell back on the chair. 'Scared that you wouldn't come back, Sunshine.'

Nico watched as Will trembled and wrapped his arms around himself. He watched as the boy's tears subsided, but his eyes glistened. Nico felt himself sit up slowly and move a bit and wrap his arms around Will. 

He hugged the son of Apollo as Will hugged back ferociously. Nico heard the blue-eyed boy with the golden hair whisper, 'Don't leave me, Nico. Please.'

And the son of Hades whispered back, 'I won't, Will. I won't.'

Will nodded against Nico's shoulder and sat up, 'Twenty questions?'

'Um, isn't that a bit random?' Nico asked as Will smiled a little. 

'We just had a very sappy and sweet reunion and you need to rest but also exercise your vocal cords before you lose your voice, Nico.' 

Nico furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, but nodded anyway.

'Alright, what's your favorite color?' Will asked.

'Yellow.'

The medic raised an eyebrow at the answer as he asked, 'What's the stupidest thing you've ever done?'

'I went swimming in the lake once.' Will replied and then added grimacing, 'Naked.' Don't ask, that was a horrific experience.

He saw Nico's face go red as he laughed and grinned. 'Oh shut up. Out of the seven, who's your favorite?'

'Hazel, she is my sister. Who's your favorite?'

'Uh... probably Frank. I've always thought the whole animal thing was kinda cool.' Will said, looking at Nico. Nico, his beautiful, wonderful Nico. 'Now, who is your hero?'

'Bianca, she gave her life to save Percy and the Hunters. What's a pet peeve of yours?'

Will had to think for this one, he had a lot of pet peeves. 'Things kept all over the place. A mess, pretty much.'

Nico chuckled and said, 'So, you always need to keep things in perfect order?'

The blond smiled sheepishly 'If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?'

'Definitely, one of my mom's old dishes.' He said, his voice softening when he said "mom". 'What's one of your favorite memories?'

Will really wanted to say my favorite memory was when I met Nico, but instead he said, 'Probably when Apollo claimed me. Knowing that there was a god out there who cared for me, was awesome. If you could take three people to dinner, living or dead, who would they be and why?' The son of Apollo had a pretty good idea of what Nico was going to say, but he waited for the answer.

'My mom, Bianca and Hades. I would love to have a sort of family dinner, all of us together again.' He said, smiling gently. 'What is something you want to do, but you're scared to?'

Oh gods, Nico. Ask you out, confess my feelings for you. Kiss you, run my fingers through your hair... 'I'm not sure.' Will said, ignoring his thoughts.

Nico nodded as Will asked, 'What is your most prized possession?'

'My ring, Bianca gave it to me.' He said, reaching down to touch it. 'Where is it?'

'Oh, right. I have it.' Will said, as Nico sighed in relief. He didn't know what he would do if he lost that ring. Will removed the ring from my pocket. As he slipped it onto Nico's finger, he realized how romantic this would've been in different circumstances. Will shook his head, not now you stupid brain.

'Thanks Will. Anyways, um... Your sexuality?' Nico asked Will as the medic smiled widely.

'I'm bisexual, Nico.' He replied, looking the son of Hades in the eye. He saw the other boy blush and asked him, 'What's the most disgusting thing you've ever eaten?'

Nico pretended to gag, 'That herbal medicine.'

Will burst into laughter as Nico asked, 'Do you have any secret hobbies?'

'Uh... I've tried painting over the years.' The sun-kissed demigod answered, while Nico looked at him with an amused expression. 'What's your fatal flaw?'

'Holding grudges, though I'm getting better at not. Someone walks into the room and you smile brightly, who is that person?' Nico questioned, he too wondered who that person was for him. Maybe it was Hazel or one of his friends. 

But deep down, Nico scoffed internally... It was Will, he knew that.

The son of Apollo knew what the answer was and told him in a surge of confidence, 'You, Sunshine.' 

Will could feel his cheeks go red and as he looked at Nico and saw that his cheeks were red too. 'Now, what is a random question you've always wanted to ask me?'

Nico looked startled at the question, 'Uh... why did you tell me I had to spend three days in the infirmary?'

'You were tired, Nico. And anyways, Hades knew you needed the rest.' The other boy said, laughing.

'Gods, Solace. Ok, if you had to wear one outfit for the rest of the year, which would it be?'

He motioned to my current set of clothes, green shorts, an orange t-shirt and a matching green unbuttoned shirt. 'So, what's your favorite thing about me?'

'I-um-w-what-uh-um.' Nico stuttered. Will laughed, 'It's a simple question, Neeks.'

'Um, your smile, I guess.' He answered, reddening. 'What's your favorite thing about me?'

'Uh-um-I-um-ah.' Will said, confused as two how to answer the question and not sound like he was hopelessly in love with Nico. Problem was, he was hopelessly in love with Nico.

'It's a simple question, Will.' Nico said, mockingly. The two burst into laughter, smiling and giggling. As they continued to revel in each other's presence, both thinking how wonderful the other's laugh sounded, Piper, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Reyna, Percy and Annabeth came through the door.

'Well, would you look at that?' Piper said, teasingly. Jason chuckled and asked if they could talk to Nico.

'Sure, but thirty minutes only. Nico needs his rest.' Will replied, standing up.

'Rest means talking to you, right?' Annabeth said, smirking. The medic simply grinned at her and whispered to Nico, 'I'll see you later, Sunshine.' And he left the room, allowing Nico to talk to his friends.
