11 ~ Lonely
As Will walked out of Nico's room, he felt giddy. If everything went to plan, tomorrow would be the best day of his life. Of course, there was the "if" factor... but Will had to take the risk.
But, right now he had patients to tend to. The medic knew he wouldn't be able too see Nico again today since he had too much work to do. Archery practice and he had to check on my cabin mates... he was still head counselor, even though he'd been spending all his time in the infirmary.
Handing a demigod daughter of Hermes a pair of crutches, Will wiped the sweat of his forehead. Turning to Kayla who was signing the young girl out of the infirmary, he said, 'Kayla, keep checking in on Nico when you have time, ok? And bring him some dinner later, I would do it but...' Will gestured to the amount of patients. 'I won't have time.'
The daughter of Apollo laughed and nodded, 'You go do your doctor work, I'll keep tabs on Nico.'
'Thanks, Kayla,' the blond smiled. 'Oh and don't give Nico any pomegranates and open up the shades in his room, would you? I swear the boy's a vampire or something, he needs his daily dose of sunshine.'
Kayla shook her head, grinning at her brother as he continued, 'I'm going to check in on the cabin. I'll be back in a few.'
'Take your time, Will!' Kayla yelled as the boy ran out of the infirmary, heading to the Apollo Cabin. The girl shook her head, muttering, 'Gosh, that boy is whipped.'

Will was about to enter his cabin as he heard someone call for him. Seeing that it was Percy, Will ran over to the son of Poseidon who smiled at him. 'Hey Percy, what's up?
'Nothing, I just wanted to tell you something about Nico,' The green-eyed boy said, shrugging. He fiddled with the ballpoint pen in his hands as Will became worried.
He motioned for Percy to continue.
Percy took a deep breath, 'I just wanted to say thanks. Nico's practically my little brother and you make him happy. He's started to smile more, he laughs, the little idiot even joked. And, everything about him has changed. He's back to somewhat being te happy kid he was before...well, everything.'
Will's eyebrows shot upwards as his mouth parted. He made Nico... happy?
What? No, that wasn't possible. All he had been trying to do was get Nico back into a better physical state. The son of Hades' emotions were a whole different ball of string that was yet to be unraveled.
'Anytime, Solace.'
Will nodded meekly, waving goodbye as Percy ran off.
As Will was still processing what the black-haired boy had said, Percy turned around and walked up to the son of Apollo again, 'Oh, and Solace, don't break his heart.'

Nico sighed as he stared out the window, he'd woken up a few hours ago but Will was nowhere to be seen.
He turned to the door as he heard someone step inside. Nico saw that it was Kayla and waved as the green-haired girl smiled.
'Hey, Nico,' she said. 'Feeling ok?'
'Um, yeah,' Nico replied, the corner of his lips quirking up the slightest.
'Alright, that's great!' Kayla said, now rummaging through a drawer in the bedside table. 'Also, if you need Will, let me know. I'm not the best with all this doctor stuff.'
The girl shrugged, smiling feebly. Nico nodded as she handed him some water and wrote down something on the piece of paper she'd been looking for in the drawer.
Checked up on Nico, gave him some ambrosia and unicorn draught. He looks better now, your boy's even smiling a bit.
Also, William Solace, gods, are you whipped. ;)
- Kayla.
The daughter of Apollo giggled and placed the note in the drawer, telling Nico she would be back with dinner later.
Nico sighed again, he was leaving tomorrow and was scared that Will wouldn't have time to talk to him after he left the infirmary.
The son of Hades hoped that wasn't the case as a feeling of loneliness enveloped him once more.
