The Plan
Rocket POV
"Wait, we what?! That's insane!" The Nova Prime didn't seem to be my biggest fan. I huffed in annoyance.
"Hey, you wanted a plan and I gave you one, so don't judge!" With that I went to gather everyone to hear the details of my amazingly awesome plan.
"Okay, listen up, people!" I stood in the front of the room, "Now we still don't know what those things are, but one thing I know for sure; how to get rid of them." I glanced around to see their faces full of disbelief.
"Okay, maybe not for sure but I think I'm getting the hang of it."
"I am Groot?"
"Yes, I know that, but I still think this might work."
I projected the details to the wall and started explaining it.
"Okay, so here we have the center of this city," I said as I drew a large circle on a map. "And here's us." I drew a smaller circle next to the other one.
" We have no hope to defeat them by fighting them on the ground with our normal weapons, since they can fly," I paused and looked at everyone else in the room, "but what if we could use that against them?"
This got a few confused faces and I decided to continue.
"Nova Corps, you have more than enough all kinds of ships so I figured, that with a little fixing, we'll be able to turn the energy the engines are using to pure electricity." I turned around. "And we can literally just fry them. I mean, the air in here makes it probably possible."
"Probably?" Quill asked, and I just rolled my eyes. "Yes, Quill, I'm almost sure."
"Almost sure?" One of the commanders asked. "Excuse me, but you're risking the lives of innocent people, and I'm not accepting this kind of a, —-," he said motioning his hands in air, "this, this kind of a thing. It's not even a plan!"
I sighed and rubbed my temples. These people are seriously getting on my nerves.
"Well, do you have any better ideas?" I asked him.
The man just stayed quiet, trying to come up with something but sighed and gave up. I smirked.
"Thought so. Let's go!"

We were able to complete the first part of the plan: fixing the engines.
We got the controls working and the ships flew off to the sky. I had to change the plan a bit after I found out that the air here isn't really like what I expected it to be: it's actually quite similar to Terra's. So instead of one ship that would do the whole ka-boom-thingy, we had to prepare other ship too. It will be filled with this substance I managed to make by using the current equipment. Not that the equipment would be bad, but I'm just saying they're missing some of the tools I usually use.
Quill and Groot were in the other plane and Gamora and Drax in the other one. Nova Corps thought my plan was too weird so they didn't let us put any of their men into those ships. They would still be scattered around the city in case of something went wrong.
"Rocket we released that weird liquid you made into the air! What now?" Quill said, bringing me out of my thoughts. That idiot.
"What? You weren't supposed to do it yet!" I shouted. I asked them to wait for my signal!
"What do you mean? We saw your signal!" Quill said.
"What?! What signal?!" This was getting annoying. I didn't send any signal!
"We do not have time to argue about this! The creatures have started their attack!" Drax cut us off. Seriously! Why can't Quill just once shut his mouth so we wouldn't have to fight!
But Drax was right. I was sitting inside the control room but still I could make out of the tiny windows the sihouettes of those shadowy things attacking the Nova Corps' men. I sighed. Why does no one ever go with my plan?!
"Okay, idiots, listen! We have to improvise!" I stopped to quickly think of a foolproof plan.
"Quill, Groot, you still there?" I asked.
"I am Groot!" I heard Groot's voice coming out of the speakers.
"Great! I need you to go over Drax and Gamora's plane and shield it from the attacks. Try to help the Nova Corps if possible, but don't start to play hero, Quill! The most important task right now is to protect the other ship so the plan doesn't fail!" I ordered them and after I got their response, I tried to talk to the other two.
"Drax! Gamora! You there?" For awhile I only heard distant noices from the background but luckily Gamora finally answered.
"Yes, Rocket, we're here! The attack has started! What do you want us to do?"
"I noticed the attack but I'm still asking you to stick to the plan!" I paused to think for just a minute. Then suddenly I heard a loud crash from the speakers. "What was that?!"
"Rocket! We've been hit! Do you still want us to finish the plan?" Gamora said.
"Okay, since you've been hit, it's not entirely sure how well this is gonna' work, but we gotta' try. You have the teleportation bracelets I gave you?" I asked them. I had made them recently for situations like this. Lucky, I guess.
"Yes, we have them!" Drax answered.
"Now, listen. The bracelets can move you only about 10 meters so when I give you the sign, you set the controls like I told you to, and activate them. Quill and Groot, you need to be as close to the ship aas you can and after they're there with you, go to the ground, as fast as you can. Got it?" I said.
"Got it." I heard everyone respond to me. I quickly informed the Nova Corps to stay on the ground and beginned to count down.
"Okay, in 1,... 2,... 3! Now!" I said and leaned back on my chair. Now we can only hope for the best.
