You sigh and change positions in your chair. Suddenly, your husband tenses up and stops reading his book. "Is everything alright, meleth?" Thranduil asks. "Yes, Thranduil. Everything is alright," you say. He goes back to his book, but is still alert. You sigh and shake your head.
The next few months, you will be well taken care of.

You stand up, one hand on your swollen stomach, the other holding a book. Almost immediately, Thranduil is by your side, arm around you, and taking the book out of your hands.
"Thranduil, I can move on my own," you say. "I know, meleth, but we shouldn't risk a fall or a slip; we must think of our Little Leaf," he says. You sigh. "You have a point," you say.
Thranduil gently guides you to your destination- the kitchens- and helps you sit in a chair. You crack a small smile at your husband, whom is currently ordering the maids around. The maids run off to do his bidding and Thranduil strides over to you.
"What are you craving, meleth? I will retrieve it myself," he says. You sigh. "Lembas," you say simply. Thranduil nods once and retrieves Lembas from the pantry. While he's gone, you sigh, smiling slightly. "Little Leaf, your Ada is going to drive me crazy," you say. As if agreeing with you, your baby kicks inside of you.
You place a hand on your stomach, feeling the baby kick. Suddenly, you hear, "Is something wrong? Are you in pain?" You look up to your worried husband. "Our Little Leaf is kicking. Here, come feel," you say.
Thranduil's worry erases and relief floods his features. He smiles warmly as he places his hand on your stomach. Your baby kicks savagely, making you wince. "He's quite a kicker," you say. Thranduil leans down, looking at your stomach as if it were a child. "Calm down, Little Leaf. We don't want to hurt Nana," Thranduil says as if he were speaking to small child.
You laugh softly. "Alright, Thranduil. Lembas," you demand softly. He rises, smiling. "Of course, meleth. Be careful," Thranduil says. "I will, now shoo. I'm fine," you say.
----------
You laugh softly at the antics of the horses. They nip each other's ears and whinny, chasing each other. You feel arms wrap around you. "You shouldn't be out here," Thranduil says softly. You sigh. "I'm just watching the horses. I'm fine," you say. Thranduil sighs, moving his hands from your waist to your stomach.
"Yes, but what if one were to get too close and hurt you?" Thranduil asks. You sigh. "Meleth, you are overprotective," you say. Thranduil huffs. "I don't want anything to happen to you or our Little Leaf," he says. You laugh softly, turning around to face him. "Thranduil, I don't think anything could happen. You're always around, so nothing will happen," you say.
You give him a kiss on the cheek. "You've no need to worry meleth nin. I can take care of myself. I know my limits and I know to ask for help when help is needed," you say. Thranduil sighs. "Alright. Just remember, gi meleth," he says. You laugh softly. "Gi meleth," you say in return.
