Anytime I ask my ada a question, my answer is a menacing scowl. I do not understand what I have done to make him so disappointed in me, but I believe that It is simply for the reason that I am so much like my late mother, that he cannot handle it.
Well, whatever it is, I do not care an ounce. I have a simple question in mind. If he does not answer it, I will simply leave him be.
I ask Faenor, my guard, to take me to the throne room. Faenor leads me, then announces my arrival. My brother, Legolas is in there, which I had no idea that he was, and so is ada. I clear my throat as I make an appearance.
"I have an extremely important queston that is relevant in the case of my happiness," I state, watching my ada raise his eyebrows, urging me to continue. I step forward, to dramaticise the dumb question that is about to slip from my tongue.
Legolas watches me, a serious look upon his face, but curiosity dwelling in his eyes. I sigh, realising just how stupid the question is, and how I may be breaking up a truly important conversation amongst my brother and ada.
I clear my throat once again, and state the question clearly. "Ada, it has come to my attention that you have extremely long, silky strands of hair. Legolas does as well, but his is not beckoning unto me like yours. Ada, my question is, may I braid your hair?"
Legolas smiles, attempting to stifle laughter. Eventually, he can hold it no longer, and bursts out laughing. Ada looks as if he could be a bright red berry.
Ada scowls so deeply, that I fear it may be etched into his pristine elven features for eternity. His eyebrows furrow together in anger. Since I am quite used to this, I do not shrink in fear. In fact, I tap my foot impatiently on the ground.
"I thought it was important, (Y/N)! You interrupted an extremely important conversation regarding the safety of Mirkwood, only to ask a question that you know good and well what the answer is. I am deeply disappointed, (Y/N). Go to your chambers. Now!"
I stifle laughter as I head out of the room. My brother whispers, just before I go, into my ear "that was a wonderful distraction. You should do that more often."
I smile at my brother and leave.
Mission: accomplished.
