Thought #7: Samson and Delilah

I was Samson, you were Delilah

Like a fool I played with fire.

A dangerous game of Russian Roulette

Unfortunate for me I live to regret

That faithful day I lowered my walls

You were the Trojan horse to my downfall.

A pretty facade, too blinding to see

That you were the real enemy.

Sugar coated lies, so easy to believe

Suffocated me slowly, to the point I couldn't breath.

Over time, you my eroded trust

I gave you my heart, you ground it to dust.

I let you get inside my head

You poisoned my mind and left it dead.

I'm now a mere sack of the flesh and bones

Delilah, sweet Delilah, took my soul.
