Body Ache

My alarm rings at 5 AM,
but I turned it off.
I still want to sleep
because I feel so tired.

My body is aching,
I can’t move properly.
I feel too weak.
Is my body giving up?

The sun rises. It’s a new day.
Its sunlight is peeking at my window.
That gives me hope,
but I’m still close to giving up.
