*FIVE YEARS LATER*
(half tempted to write 19 years later lmaoooo)(if anyone gets that reference you're my new best friend)
it was a normal day in New York, birds were singing and the sun was shining through the clouds. A man named John Laurens sat on a bench in Central Park, finishing the first draft of his new novel; Angels On Earth, how a (metaphorical) angel saved my life.
A small fox jumped out of a nearby bush and onto the curly haired man's lap. The fox looked up at him with his big, warm, brown eyes, and they reminded John of something. He closed his eyes, and whatever that something was, it made him feel warm and happy inside.
He opened his eyes and, though he didn't quite remember feeling the weight leave his lap, the brown eyed fox was gone. He looked up and saw that the clouds had moved away, clearing a small patch of blue sky right above his head. The South Carolinian smiled, stood up, and stretched. Today was going to be a good day. All was well.
