C.6- From the past

Dark Link. That sounds like Link...

What's happening? What's going on?

Link made a snicker and launched back at Dark Link "You think I would fall for this!" He blocked it with ease, grabbed Link's arm, and made him backflip on the gravel.

"You're ignorant for a hero..." His deep voice that sound nothing like Link said. Dark Link had a devious grin on his face as he kicked Link in the back.

He probably knocked all the wind out of him because Link took deep breaths before he got back up. Some sweat fell from his brow, but I could see the determination in his eyes. He wasn't gonna give up...

"And you're a terrible lier." Link growled.

"Oh, you wouldn't want to anger me you know... if you want to keep her alive."

It only took me ten seconds to relize who he was talking about because he disappeared in a tornado of dust-- and held his sword to my neck. He was talking about me. I whimpered as the blade was held closer to my neck... closer to my death.

"Get off her."

"Careful hero, take one more step and I'll kill her." Dark Link grinned.

I could see his eyes filled with rage, pieces of his hair hung down his face. The grip on his sword tighten but he stood still-- he knew if he even blinked his guy would have my head cut off. "Who are you?!" His voice portrayed the rage and hater towards Dark Link.

"I told you, I'm you, Dark Link."

"Sure." Link said sarcastically and rolled his eyes, though his eyes were still glued to Dark Link.

"You got me there... I'm not exactly you, I'm the dark side of you."

He let out a fake small laugh "Ha like I believe a word you're say."

Though for some reason I did believe Dark Link-- that he was Link's dark side. I don't know how that's possible but I could see how it could be true- Now only if I didn't have a sword against my neck.

Without thinking I elbow him in the chest, just as I got strength when I first meet Link again, two weeks ago, it seemed I did here too. Point is-- I elbowed him hard.

So hard he clutched his chest and with with a snap of his finger dissappeared into the air. "Don't think this is over..." Dark said before the black dust around him completely faded.

"Are you ok?" Link said, brushing dirt and dust off his now messy colored tunic. I noticed just how hurt he was now-- how hard it had been to keep fighting Dark Link.

"I should be asking you that."

"I'm fine." But I could tell just by this voice how hurt he was, his tunic was a mixture of green and red. Red apparently hated green and wanted to stain his tunic with it's color.

I shook my head "No, no. You're not... I can tell."

"I'm f- fine." He mumbled but he chocked up blood and fell with a loud thud.

"Link!"

A couple of people turned their heads to me.

I quickly knelt down back to him-- making the hood of the cloak fall off my face. I don't care! I don't care! No tears, not now.

"What a fool that boy is..." A voice said.

That voice... it was the familiar of someone clam and wise, the voice of a woman. "Impa?" I said and turned my head to her.

She nodded and took a few step towards me and bend down to see Link, she pressed two fingers against his neck while her red eyes stared at me. "He has a pulse..."

"He's not dead. Just unconscious." Impa stood up, some of her white hair flew on her face-- she brushed them back.

"Why are you here... and how did he know to come here?" I said as I let Impa pick me up. I brushed away some of the dirt that spear over my cloak, and wiped away the blood on my arms from touching Link.

"I'll explain when we get to the castle, and after Link wakes up." She said.

He started dragging him to the trail that lead to the castle I was born in and I followed.

Link laid on a bed, his eyes closed and breathing slow. He haven't woken up yet... but I knew he would, he would sit up at any moment.

I looked down at him-- the blood stained across his tunic reminded me on the time we were attacked by monsters and Link saved me...

"Hey princess." Link teased, he made a bright smile on his face-- his young face lit up in the light (A/N: In the flashbacks there eleven-fourteen, just wanted you guys know)

"You know I don't like being called princess." I rolled my eyes, but all he does she give me a smile from ear to ear. Kinda creepy if you ask me... but kinda cute too.

"Alright. Hi Princess Zelda."
Link grinned.

I smiled he would always tease me and though it would be annoying I couldn't help but smile.

We were in my room right now, I was sitting on the bed and he was on a plush chair.

"Can I show you something?"

"Of course."

"Then come on!" He grabbed my hand and lifted me off the seat guiding me out the room.

He faced me and gave a childish smile before bringing me to the halls of the castle, and eventually to castle town. Link dragged me out to Hyrule field but he didn't stop going. Didn't he know that Hyrule field had dangerous enemies-- crawling around? He had to...

We stopped by a hole (that we could barely fit in) which we had to crawl through. It was your basic cave, rocky, dark, spooky atmosphere, you know the normal for a cave.

"I just needed to talk to you... alone." He said almost in a whisper, as if he didn't want me to hear what he had just said.

"Did we really need to go so far from the castle?"

"Yes."

"You don't understand, but I can't tell anyone I know about this..." he took a couple of breaths and I stood there the slience darkness. "Zelda, I-"

He didn't get to finish because two large wolfos came in, howling and charging towards us. Link jumped in fount of me and one of them dug it's fangs into Link's chest-- backed up a little and trashed into him making him go flying.

I screamed and looked for something to attack the wolfos with. There was nothing I could find, well I'm dead... Link got back up. This body lifted off the ground with little effort and he had a sword in his hand.

A sword. Wait why do he have a sword, I've never seen him fight or train with one-- let alone have one so why now?

He charged at the wolfos and swung but the wolf blocked it with his furry paws. The expression shown on his face was anger, the wolfos growled.

"Link... you shouldn't." I begin trembling on the ground with him in fount of him, I could almost fell the tears falling off my face.

"Well, I'm gonna!" He snapped-- not in a nasty tone per say but more of a protective tone. I could see the tendency of the room when Link gripped his sword harder and thr wolfos's inched closer to my best friend.

"LINK!" I shouted and in a state of shock and panic, and me being the smart princess that I am decided to pick up a rock and threw it at the wolfos's.

It hit one in head and a scar came across on it's face making it's gray-furred cheeks a now a deep red. What a lovely image that is. It's blood red eyes land on me, it's paws each taking a step towards me, echoing through the defining slience.

Link rushes up so fast, I hardly saw him coming, but next thing you know the wolfos's neck was sliced with blood gushing everywhere and a slience howl before it dissappear in a fog of smoke. I saw the other wolfos laying on the ground before it, dissappeared through thin air as the first one did.

I almost gagged or (mostly likely) vomited by the image of the bloody dead wolfos. Link ran up to me with strengthen legs and gave my a giant bear-hug. His body shook and his voice was filled with intense worry, worry for me? "Are you okay?" Link asked-- yep. Definitely worried about me.

"Are you okay?" He asked again but I felt like I couldn't move my body or even my head to nod. For some reason, I was stuck in his hug...

"Zelda."

"Zelda!"

"ZELDA!"

I jolt from my memory to see Link staring at me, his elbows supported his body and he tilted his head up making blonde hair fell on his face. Link's electric blue eyes piercing into my icily blue ones like a lantern in the darkness. It was at that moment that I realized something...

I didn't hate Link. I just missed him.
