(6) Are You Scared Yet?

"You better find my f*****g babies or I will cause a scene out here.", Jay said.

"I will I will. Just calm down.", Manager replied.

As of now, the littles had been gone for about thirty minutes. Jake stood in front of the house, scanning every inch of it for a sign of them.

Heeseung was eyeing their Manager, trying to hold back his anger. Manager was well aware that the maknae line were little. At one point, he had even trusted him with the information about Sunoo's dreams.

"Hey, they got the door open.", Jake said.

The officers who had arrived spent the last half hour trying to open the door. One of them, who had climbed through the broken window, couldn't even open it from the other side.

Now that it was open however, the other officers were let inside.

The members and Manager, along with some of the land surveyors, stood outside, waiting.

Sunghoon hadn't said a single word in the past twenty minutes, and Jake noticed.

"Are you alright?", Jake asked.

Sunghoon stayed staring at the floor, "No."

"We'll figure out what happened."

"We shouldn't have been here in the first place! They were terrified and that was obvious!", Sunghoon yelled.

"We didn't know this would happen.", Heeseung said.

"But we knew about Sunoo's dreams. Did they tell you what happened in the basement yesterday? Did they tell you that wasn't dream?"

The other three paused.

"What happened in the basement?", Jay asked.

"Jungwon told me...he played a joke where he cut the lights off to scare them. But they wouldn't come back on..and then, that thing appeared. It had a hand on Niki."

Jake stood there in shock. So thats what they were doing with the lights off yesterday? Then why did Niki and Jungwon lie about it?

"So what do we do?", Jake asked.

"We do the one thing we can do.", Sunghoon said.

The others looked at him.

"We go into a haunted house."

The only thing Jungwon knew, was that he was cold. Very cold.

His arms shook as he held his hands around himself. The room was unfamiliar, this whole situation was.

Scanning the area he saw Niki, cradling Sunoo, who was also very cold.

"Where are we?", Jungwon asked.

Niki raised his head.

"No idea. Come here so we can cuddle for warmth."

Jungwon crawled across the room, finding himself next to Niki and Sunoo with his head on Niki's shoulder.

The room was rather large.

Covered furniture, a wardrobe, and what looked like a bed, were all stored in here haphazardly.

"It's so cold...", Sunoo whispered.

"I know. But we'll be okay.", Niki replied.

There was a creaking sound in the room. The three boys looked to where Jungwon had been sitting. A door was there, and it was gently opening.

Sunoo sat up from Niki's lap.

The three boys stood, moving to the doorway. On the other side was the living room. They saw the broken glass from the window, and the front door open.

"Do you see anyone?", Jungwon asked.

"Yeah look. Some police. Hey! We're over here!"

Niki ran out of the room.

He was waving his hands so the officers would see him. Sunoo and Jungwon did the same.

Only...no one reacted.

Jungwon walked up to an officer, and tried to tap him on the shoulder. But instead of touching his shoulder, his hand went right through him.

"Uh, Niki, Sunoo, what's happening?", Jungwon asked.

The others tried to do the same. But just like Jungwon, their hands went straight through the officers.

They saw the members outside, and wanted to run to them. But when Niki touched the doorway, it was like a wall separated them from the outside.

"We're trapped. Guys...we're trapped!", he yelled.

People were moving around them, not able to see them.

"Are we...ghosts?", Sunoo asked.

The three exchanged glances.

"We're not dead right?", Jungwon asked, "We can't be. I mean, a few minutes ago we were out there, with our members..."

He started to cry.

Niki and Sunoo hugged him. They stood in the doorway, looking at the members outside. Sunghoon seemed angry, saying something to the other three.

"We figure this out Wonie. Okay?", Niki said.

Sunoo heard footsteps behind them, so he turned around to see his familiar friend.

"Guys...it's here."

"What do you want from us?!", Jungwon yelled, "We didn't do anything to you! Please...let us go home!"

Ghost just stood there, towering over the boys.

Suddenly, it turned around and floated into the hallway, out of view.

The three boys followed it. They went into the hallway, which was very dark. Niki walked in front, the two older members holding his shirt.

Ghost went through a door at the end of the hallway.

The boys followed him, and opened the door carefully.

The room was almost empty. It was lit up by candles that were placed in a circle around a small table. On the table was a box.

The three stood around the table, looking at the box.

Sunoo recognized it as a Ouija board.

"Oh no, I don't do ouija board.", Niki said.

"Maybe it can be our way of talking to them.", Sunoo said.

"How?", Niki asked.

"If we're ghosts...people can use this to talk to us.", Sunoo said.

Jungwon opened the box and took out the board.

"Well why are we waiting? Let's get their attention.", he said.

Niki and Sunoo agreed.

The officers had left.

Manager reluctantly agreed to stay outside with Heeseung and Jay while Jake and Sunghoon went inside.

"And again, why can't we go in with you, but Jake can?", Manager asked.

"Because he doesn't want me to go in by myself and I refuse to risk the harm of anyone but myself."

He sighed as Jake and Sunghoon walked off to the house.

When they entered, it seemed so oddly quiet. If their members were inside, where could they be?

Jake scanned the living room. The police hadn't found anything, so he didn't expect to, but still wanted to look. Sunghoon had discovered the hallway, and stared down it at an open door.

"Jake look, a light."

Suddenly, the door swung open. The two members saw what looked like candles.

They carefully went down the hallway, and entered the room. The ouija board sat there on the table.

"Holy crap. One of these?", Jake said.

He put a hand on it.

"Come on Sunghoon."

"Do we really have time for that Jake?"

"Just do it. It's in an abandoned house in a room with fully lit candles. It must mean something."

Sunghoon put his hand on the board as well.

"Are there any spirits here?", Jake asked.

The arrow moved over, pulling their hands with it to the yes.

"Okay...umm...what is your name?", Sunghoon asked.

The arrow moved, passing over seven letters

"Jungwon?", Jake said, confused.

Sunghoon and Jake made eye contact.

"Holy shit they're ghosts."
