Max

 I wake up to see that Jess is still in my arm's. I smile at that and slowly pull my arm's away from her, nearly falling out of bed in the process. Then I notice something, it's night, and my back sting's, bad. Should I stay and brave it? Or just, get over it and shift already? I look at Jess and sit down on the floor, I don't want to brave it, for I was nearly killed last time, but I also don't want to just sit around, I've alway's had trouble falling asleep once I've woken up at night

"I hate the night" I look over to see Jess with her head to the side, her amber eye's filled with pain and sadness, when they should never look like that. I look down at my hand's, scale's were already imprinted on my skin, which only made the stinging worse "Why do we have to deal with this at night? I wouldn't mind anything but stinging? Why?" I shrugged

"I alway's feel like we're being punished for an unknown cause" I look at her "I just, it feel's like a gift when we're in the air, and when we're just flying around in peace, but it doesn't when we shift again, and we have to deal with the pain"

"Yeah~" She agreed "You're right, that is what it's like, can we just, get rid of the pain, please?" She looked at me and I slowly nodded. She quickly rolled out of bed and stood up. We raced down her step's and turned the corner, ignoring Zoey and Laurence, who had stopped arguing when we set foot on the first floor. We raced out the back.

 Jess

 I shift quickly and Max does as well, we sigh, the pain in our back's fading away. I jumped and glided. My obsidian black and purple wing's shining. The obsidian part of my wing's glittering in the moonlight. I look over to see Laurence and Zoey staring at Max and I. Max's wing's were obsidian black and redish-orange. Easy to tell, no one's really seen a fire dragon, and ender dragon hybrid before, well now Laurence and Zoey have. I looked at Max's eye's as he glided around me in a full circle, causing me to smile. The white of his eye's an adorable yellow while his brown eye's turned and glowed gold. I smiled, knowing that the white in my eye's were a light shade of purple, while my amber eye's turned and glowed a dark purple.

"It's been so long~" Max sang and I laughed at him "Race 'ya!" He called to me, then raced toward's Scale's Wind. I gave him a ten second head start, then raced after him, laughing. I quickly passed him

"You can't be faster than me mister!" I yelled at him as I got to scale's wind. I landed on top of one of the roof's there, and many villager's pointed at me. I ignored them as Max slowly landed as well, obviously tired from the race

"You gave me a head start, didn't you?" I nodded

"Ten~ Second's~!" I yelled in his ear and he flinched, causing me to laugh. I was about to say more when I heard arguing

"Ki Ki! Why don't you stay!?"

"Because I want to see Aphmau!"

"That won't go well" Max murmered and I giggled, nodding in agreement "By most, she just won't find you at all" I nodded again

"What was that? I heard someone, who was that?" She look up at the roof and saw us. Except. I was trying my best not to fall of the roof because Max was tickling me half to death

"Ah! T-that T-tickles!" i stuttered out, causing Max to laugh. I finally got away from him nad flew to the other side of the roof "Jerk" I growled at him, he sneared back at me

"Oh my god! Hybrid's! Nicole! Look! Look! Look! Hybrid's! Actualy hybrid's! I've never seen one before, and I didn't know they traveled in two's!"

"Oh great, there she goes again, she's just got this animal fetish" I looked at Max and he groaned

"Can we go Jess?"

"Sure~ I don't want to get poked and pricked"

"Wait! Don't go!"

"We might come back, but don't get your hope's up Ki Ki" Max and I flew off. And we flew back toward's Pheonix Drop. I crashed into A tree while Max landed uneasily. It was morning, unfortanatly, unless we lose it, we can't stay as a dragon during the day as well. I groaned

"Are you okay Jess?" Max ask's. Helping me up. I sit down on a branch and Max land's on it as well. I rub my eye's as Max sit's down on the same branch as me. Sitting next to me "You're tired, aren't you?" I nodded slowly and yawned, then curled up against his arm. I fell asleep in second's, not noticing that Max was smiling

 Max

 I watch as she fall's asleep. I stay put, not knowing where I could put her while she sleep's. I hear squealing and see the girl from earlier running around. I frown as I watch her run into the village. Jumping around in joy. I sigh. I then pick up Jess and jump down the tree, I was holding her bridal style, and she was practicaly curled up against me, causing me to smile and lightly blush. I walked toward's where we used to sleep every night. I can to a clearing with a huge tree, obsidian black leave's and purple bark. I kicked it three time's in a spot and a tunnel apeared. I walked through it, not noticing that Laurence and Aaron were following me.

I walked up several step's and set Jess down, her back against the tree trunk as the three instantly made a blanket apear and covered Jess. I sat down and sighed, another blanked apeared over my shoulder's as I began to nod off. I put my chin in my palm as I watched Jess sleep. I was about ot get up when I was pulled back to the ground by Jess, then she curled up on my arm, not letting it go. I smirked. She rolled over and curled up in my lap. I smiled as I began to nod off as well.

 Laurence

 I walked up the wooden step's to see Aphmau curled up in the boy from earlier's lap. She was smiling as she snuggled up to him. And he didn't seem to mind, it was as if he was nodding off as well. I gestured Garroth to go back down the stair's and he nodded. Going back out. As soon as we walked out of the tree, the doorway closed

"Are they trapped?" I looked at Garroth and he shrugged

"If they are, then we know where they are if we need them" I nodded. We walked back to the village to see Ki Ki going practicaly insane over something

"Are you okay Ki Ki?" I asked and she jumped up and down, her brother trying to calm her down

"Absoulutly! There were two hybrid's in Scale's Wind last night! And I follwed them here! Until they disapeared in a tree, and I'm still looking for them! It was so cool, and it seemed like one of them knew me because they said to the other that I loved animal's, I didn't know that hybrid's traveled in two's!"

"Okay~ can you calm down Ki Ki? Maybe we can ask Zoey, maybe Aphmau" she nodded and raced off toward's her house. I sighed, looking at Garroth

"Do you think that Aph and that boy are the two hybrid's that Ki Ki saw?" I shook my head

"That's impossible, you can either be a dragon hybrid, or a wolf hybrid, but i've never heard of anyone who was both. I glanced at the tree. The bark was turning color's, gold, black, and..... purple
