So I may or may not have forgotten to put some warnings in the first chapter so I'll just do it here...
1- There are no real pairings in my story except hinted lawlu. But it's small and doesn't effect the story's plot you can think of it as just nakamaship if you don't like the idea.
2- I posted the first three chapters before I read chapter 903. But that too does not effect the story. everything is going to be the same and what happened to Luffy in chapter 903 I was going to make happen anyway.
3- MAJOR SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 903 AND WHOLE CAKE ISLAND ARCH!!!!!!!!! DON"T WANT KNOW DON'T CONTINUE READING THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Location: Sabaody, Grove 23
The trip to Sabaody seemed to take forever, mostly due to the antics of their captain and their own unease. If the rubber man wasn't complaining about how bored he was than he was running around the ship causing trouble. For most of their trip they were unhindered. They had a few run in's with bounty hunters and a couple close calls with the marines, but they made it back to Sabaody unscathed and unknown. It was quite the accomplishment for the Straw Hats to make it anywhere without being discovered. They wanted to throw a party celebrating their safe arrival, but were quickly reminded by Robin's morbid comments why that would be a bad idea.
Sanji had told the crew that they needed to restock the food supply before they left. And knowing their captain and their luck they figured they would be most likely leaving the island in a hurry while probably being chased by marines. So they decided to get the supplies first and with any luck find some information on this mystery person. Franky volunteered to stay and watch the ship.
*****Line Break*****
Gathering the needed supplies didn't take long and they all regrouped at the ship. None of them were able to find anything out about their mystery caller, but that was to be expected. They had no leads and no real questions to ask anyone beside "Hey anything interesting going on?" In the end they decided it was better to wait and not draw anymore attention to themselves and let the mystery voice find them. But a certain rubber captain didn't like the idea of staying in one place for to long and started his complaining.
"How long do we have to wait? I'm bored and hungry and-"
"You're always hungry." Usopp said but was ignored.
"-and hungry." Luffy finished like he hadn't been interrupted.
"You said that twice!" Usopp and Chopper yelled in unison.
"Stop whining! This was your idea so you have no one to blame but yourself." Nami yell from where she stood on The Sunny's second floor. They had only been there less than half a day, but still they were impressed that it took him this long to start complaining. A few of them were now several coins lighter and the navigator a few coins heavier as the had lost a bet on their captain.
Even so they were all a little on edge. Since their mystery woman hadn't contacted them again, they had no way of knowing which grove she would be at. They didn't even know if they were in the right part of the world, let alone the right island. But still being back at Sabaody didn't affect them as much as they thought it would. They were all nervous to return, but happy to find that their worries were all for naught. As long as they were together their fears were put to rest and they could deal with more pressing matters. Like finding out why they were there.
When the evening rolled around, they were all tired of waiting. Not to mention the risk they were taken by being there. They had yet to be found, but they knew it would not last much longer. It was a miracle in its self that they had gotten there unnoticed and even more so that they were not discovered while wandering around. They received a few odd looks but not much else. People were probably to confused by there presence and didn't fully believe it was the Straw Hats that they were seeing. At least, that's what they were hoping was the case, because really why would an emperor who recently defeated another emperor be there of all places. Rumors were already starting to spread though. If they didn't do something soon the marines were sure to show up sooner rather than later.
"Alright everyone gather round!" Nami shouted. Nothing good was going to happen if they stayed there much longer so she took the initiative to do something about it. Once they were all huddled together she held out nine straws of varying length. "We're going to decide who goes ashore to find our strange caller."
Nami shuffled the straws and hid their length in her hands. They each reached for the straws, some a little more tentative than others and some with out care. Luffy of course was the most excited and hoping he would get to go.
While the navigator was originally impressed with her plan she soon found that it quickly backfired. Not only did Luffy pick a winning (losing depending on whose point of view) straw, but Zoro as well. They were two worst picks to go ashore. Both always caused a commotion and this mission required extreme stealth. The identity of the mystery caller was still unknown, and they could very well be walking into a trap. There was some peace of mind when Robin was also chosen, but sometimes she too could cause a ruckus. Nami wouldn't have to worry about them though, there would be a watchful eye that would keep them from doing anything stupid, for she too drew a winning straw. With much complaining on Nami's part and devilish grins from the other three they left The Sunny and started exploring the groves once more.
*****Line Break*****
"Glad you could make it Straw Hat." The four of them turned around to see a young woman sitting leaning against a tree. They hadn't been exploring long, but still were a ways from the ship when someone called out to the captain. They all froze momentarily, they knew that voice, it was undoubtedly the one they heard over the Den Den Mushi. The four members of the Straw Hat pirates were surprised, to say the least, by who faced them. Zoro finally understood why the voice was familiar to him. He was impressed that he was able to recognize, however slight, the familiarity of the voice. It had been nearly four years since he heard it and it's not like they had much interaction together. His mind wandered back to the first time he had set foot on the island and how a woman-turned-child stopped him from attacking a Tenryubito. Not that the action had much of a payoff though, since his captain had stormed the auction house and punched one.
"Oh, it's you!" Luffy said cheerfully as he slapped his fist and palm together, trying to fake understanding, but one look at his eyes showed that they were devoid of all comprehension. Nami face-palmed.
"You have no idea who this is do you." It wasn't a question.
"Nope!" Luffy shouted proudly. Zoro shook his head. Of course Luffy wouldn't recognize someone else from the worst generation. He probably only recognized Law of Punk Hazard because the two worked closely together when Law saved Luffy's life after the war.
"As clueless as he said you were." She laughed softly. That got their attention.
"What are you talking about?" Luffy said sternly as he faced the woman.
"Your brother of course." She responded.
"How did you know Ace?"
"Who knows." She said haphazardly, shrugging.
"Who are you anyway?" Luffy asked. The Straw Hats behind him wanted to fall over but managed to keep themselves upright though still visibly sweat dropping.
"Jewelry Bonney also known as the 'Big Eater,' one of the worst generation. Her and her crew have been virtually inactive for the past few years ever since she was captured by Blackbeard and then taken into custody by fleet admiral Akainu. No one is quite sure how she escaped custody of the marines but since her escape she has been in hiding." Robin helpfully supplied.
"At least there's someone reliable." She gave a wry smile.
"So you're the one that called us, I hope you have a good reason. I'm sure you know our situation and the risk we're taking to be here." Nami started to lecture.
"I am well aware of current events." Bonney interrupted the navigator. "Let's talk somewhere more private." She got up and motioned for the Straw Hats to follow.
"There better be booze." Zoro commented half dryly. Bonney rolled her eyes and gave him a stern look. She led them to her ship and ushered them into the captains quarters, ignoring the stares from her crew.
"Now let's get down to business." She looked at the swordsman and pointed to a cabinet that most likely held the alcohol. Zoro nodded in acknowledgement and made his way over to the cabinet. Luffy stepped up and stood directly in front of Bonney.
"You said you knew Ace."
"I did."
"And that you have something of his."
"I do."
"Where is it?"
"I've hidden it on one of the groves, just in case."
"So it's not even with you? Why are we wasting our time here then?" Nami jumped in.
"Ace may have trusted you." She stared at Luffy. "But maybe I don't have the same feelings and wanted to actually meet you in person first." Zoro had a suspicious feeling that Bonney wasn't completely over the Tenryubito incident caused by both himself and his captain.
Luffy remained quiet, letting his hat shadow his eyes. Zoro took another swig from his drink. Nami wanted to argue more, but knew it wasn't her place. Whatever happened next was up to the two captains.
"If you didn't trust us, you wouldn't have reached out to us. No matter how desperate you were." Luffy's tone didn't waver. Bonney didn't speak for a minute. And no one else dared break the silence.
"I trust in your abilities not necessarily you. But you're the only one capable of protecting it."
"What is it anyway?" Luffy finally asked.
"Be patient. You'll see soon." Patience, Luffy was really hating that word today. He felt like that was all he had been doing. Waiting to get there, waiting to find the mystery caller, waiting to find out what 'it' was. Luffy was about to demand she tell him, after all, Ace was his brother, he deserved to at least know. Before he could voice his complaints, one of Bonney's crew members ran into the quarters. He was out of breath and shaking.
"It- It's"
"Spit it out!" She yelled. clearly angered by being interrupted.
"It's Blackbeard! He's found our location he's on his way!"
"Shit. Damn that Blackbeard!" Bonney growled.
Zoro slammed his drink down, nearly shattering the bottle and put his hand on the hilt of his sword. Nami tensed but was prepared to grab her staff. Robin had a defensive posture and turned to her captain, waiting for his decision. Luffy had a fierce look in his eyes. He turned around a headed towards the door. If Blackbeard was coming, then he would without a doubt fight.
"Don't you dare!" Bonney stepped in front of him. "I'll tell you where it is. You need to get it out of here. My crew and I will hold him off."
"No, we fight together!" Luffy shouted. Zoro Nami and Robin adopted battle stances. Bonney grabbed the rubber captain by his red cardigan and yank him close.
"Listen, Blackbeard, no one can know about it and absolutely no one can know you have it! You have to take it, hide it! Not for me but for Ace, for your brother!" She released her grip.
"Okay." Luffy said solemnly knowing that whatever 'it' was, was more important at the moment. She sighed in relief. "What are we looking for?"
"You'll know it when you see it."
"Just take care of it okay." The crew member spoke up. "We've all gotten pretty attached." Whatever they were hiding meant a lot to every one of Bonney's crew. That only intrigued Luffy more. If it meant this much to the strangers guarding it, he can only imagine what it meant to Ace.
"Now hurry, go!" She pushed him away while telling them what grove she hid it on. The four of them gave Bonnie and her crew one last look, silently telling them to stay safe and that they would come back for them. The Straw Hats turned on their heels and ran to find the hidden hut on the grove, making sure to stay out of sight.
