Dreamie

Dream's pov

"I would really appreciate it if I could have those extra hours." I told Mrs.Davidson who sat at her desk.

"Clay, you already work so much." She said, unsure. "I don't wanna overwork you, you're one of my best employees. How about this. I'll give you night shift when it's not so busy and then go from there?" She asked and I nodded.

"That will work. Thank you, I really mean it." I said, feeling relieved that she was willing to let me work more. I have to do this for the others. They need my help, we need the money.

"Of course, hon... and if it's a money thing I can pay you more." She smiled. My heart squeezed in my chest as I nodded, feeling the weight on my chest lift slightly.

"We might be loosing our house..." I finally admitted and she nodded in understanding.

"Come in and work whenever you want or need, also just ask any of the cooks to make you food, it's on the house, dear." She said softly, giving me a reassuring smile.

"Thank you, really... I'm trying to help my family the best that I can... they need me and Tec-I mean, Dave and Will are working a lot to fix this mess but the others don't know and I don't want the younger ones to be stressed by all of this. We can't be separated again." I said, letting it all spill. She listened and nodded, giving me her full attention.

"Thank you for trusting and feeling comfortable enough with me to share all of this. Don't hesitate to come to me for anything." She said as she hugged me. I hugged her back and nodded, thanking her over and over again as I got my stuff and started my shift. George was sitting in the break room playing on his phone.

"Hey, Dream." He smiled when he saw me. "You never texted me back." He said with a little pout.

"Hi, George... sorry, I forgot to tell you I don't have a phone..." I said softly and George nodded.

"Wanna borrow one of my old ones? I don't use it anyone. I'll bring it in tomorrow." He smiled, waving his phone around.

"You don't have to do that." I blushed and George grinned as he came over to me, tying my apron around my waist like he did last time. I blushed as he  smiled at me before letting go of my waist but cupped my face instead.

"Interesting..." He said, watching me blush as I looked everywhere but at him. "You should come over sometime. I live in a flat next door." He grinned.

"Oh uh-"

"I can order takeout and we can watch tv and play games. What do you think, Dreamie?" He purred and I nodded, my heart melting as he ran his thumb over my cheek.

"Y-yeah... that would be nice." I stuttered out and he smiled happily.

"Great. Tonight then." He said before leaving. I blushed as I watched him leave.

I worked the rest of the day and night, working hard to earn the money I needed for my family. I felt tired and sore but I pushed through it all, making tips easily. All I have to do is work hard and that will save the house. It'll be worth it  all in the end, I can do this, just have to keep working, take it one leap at a time at a sprint.

"Dream, hey, the place is closed, how about you sit in the back and I'll clean up?" George said as he rested a hand on my shoulder. I looked back at him from cleaning a booth.

"Oh, sure..." I said softly, blinking away sleep as I shuffled to the back and slowly sat down on the couch that was in there. My body aching all over as I let my head rest back to stare at the ceiling.

I was half asleep by the time George came back, wiping his hands off on a rag. He had left in the afternoon and was surprised to see me still there when he came back to talk to his mom. I worked a double and I would keep working doubles, triples if I had to if that meant I could make money.

"You worked a lot today. Maybe you should head home?" George said when he saw me.

"I'm fine." I yawned, slowly standing with a wince.

"We have lots of time to hang out, let's just get you home, I'll drive you." He offered and I nodded, thanking him for understanding as he led me through the back and to his car. It was dark out as I sat in the passenger side, buckling my seatbelt and closing my eyes as he turned the heat on. I fell asleep almost instantly.

~~~~~
I woke up with a jolt when I heard a pan clatter somewhere in a different room. I yawned and rolled over, pressing my face into the soft sheets. Everything felt so soft and nice and smelled good too, like expensive laundry soap.
Wait... where am I? This isn't my bed, it's too nice, these aren't my sheets either, or my pillow...
I finally opened my eyes to see dark bedding, the shades were down to block out the bright sun. I slowly sat up and yawned, looking around the sizable room. The bed was huge, way bigger than my twin mattress at home.
"Uh, hello?" I called as I got out of the bed. Was I kidnapped?! Oh no, I need to get out of here! I began to panic as I slid out of the room and slowly walked down the hall to a big kitchen. I frowned, looking around and saw no one so I snuck to the door and pulled my shoes on that were neatly places next to a pair of clean tennis shoes.
"Leaving so soon?" Someone said being me making me jump and turn around to see George standing there with a mug in hand.
"O-oh... so this is your place... I-I didn't know where I was so I was just gonna leave..." I admired, holding my other shoe with the other already on.
"That's fine. I can make breakfast or order out. You pick. You fell asleep in my car and you didn't give me your address so I took you here. You know, you sleep talk." He chuckled as I blushed and slowly pulled my shoe off and went to couch.
"Anything is fine by me." I said and George nodded as he pulled his phone out to order takeout. He sat next to me, throwing his legs over my lap as he typed away. I blushed even more as I awkwardly hold my hands up, not knowing where to put them.
"You can touch me, ya know." George teased without looking up. I slowly rested my hands down and clapped them together as I sat there stiffly. "Food will be here soon."
"Thanks... so uh... how are you?" I asked awkwardly.
"I'm good, how are you, pretty boy?" He said, staring at me now.
"I-I'm okay..." I mumbled, looking away.
"I'm glad, my bed is pretty comfortable. I slept on the couch." George said and I nodded.
"Sorry..." I mumbled and he shrugged.
"It's fine, you look super cute when you sleep." George chuckled as he leaned back against the arm of the couch.
"Thanks... you look cute awake?" I said and George laughed so hard he almost spilled his tea.
"Thanks. You really have a way with words, Dream." He snorted, the doorbell ringing so George got up to get our food. I bit my lip as I looked around the room. George's house was super nice and clean, everything looked brand new and expensive. It kind of made me feel bad for how my home looked....
"George... maybe I should get going..." I said weakly and stood.
"But the food just got here. Eat and then you can leave if you want?" George said, looking a little sad.
"Okay... yeah, I'll eat then leave." I agreed as he led me back to the living room and turned the tv on. He set the food and drinks down on the coffee table.
