The Last Laugh

Oh woe, you are too lazy to climb
A ladder of your own.
Here, take my back, a steady one,
An easy path to go.

I'll give you treasures, thrones and feasts,
Enjoy them, while they last...
And when you're done, I'll prepare to eat
My little foolish flies...

I am a spider, I weave a web,
I make it extra shiny.
Flies pass by and get attracted,
They stick unto my piece.

Oh woe, their cries of help torment me
Not, I am too ruthless.
I will not bow to boneless meats,
To mindless, shallow leeches.

My dears, you're bold to disrespect me,
Impactful words you say.
But my skin is itchy and I am hungry,
I need to see you fail.

When my castles burn and fall,
Your castles, as well, should.
And when they're not, they're standing tall,
Then only mine could.

Woe to those who trusted me,
I will burn your towers.
Success belongs in my hands only
And you shall only wonder.

Rest in peace, my preys, my flies,
Fly up or down gently.
And in case you cannot fly,
I have wings, but know me...
