It was once the brightest.
Alone; but still shone like no other.

           It was its own strength
Fought through the mazes of life.

           It bottled its smiles for others
Breathed hope along its path.

           It was what everyone wished it to be
Lost completely but went on for them.

           It's light dimmed slowly with time
Not something it wanted.

          To save its light sought for others
                  None shone for it.

It dimmed further and melted into nothingness
And it was all that was; the fallen star.
