They made it back to Jane's apartment. Once inside, Darcy jumped up in surprise. Thor hung Mjölnir on a coat hook.

"Jane!" Darcy exclaimed.

"Hey," Jane greeted.

"You can't just leave like that. The whole world is going crazy. All the stuff we saw is spreading," Darcy explained, saw her dress, then asked, "Did you go to a party?"

Jane then saw Erik and called, "Erik!"

"Jane! How wonderful. Oh!" Erik responded, hugged her, and commented on her clothing, "You've been to Asgard."

Then Jane looked down and asked "Where are your pants?"

"Oh, he, uh...He says it helps him think," Ian answered.

"Okay, well, I'm going to need everything you've got on this. All the work you've been doing on gravimetric anomolies, everything," Jane said.

"Okay," Erik nodded.

"Are you well, Erik?" Thor asked, a little concerned.

Erik laughed then turned serious as he wondered, "Your brother's not coming, is he?"

"Loki is dead," Thor informed.

"Oh, thank God!" Erik responded, making Jamie feel more hurt, then Erik said, "I-- I mean, I'm so sorry."

"Thank you," Thor thanked.

Erik hugged him, even though he smiled in relief. Jamie shook her head and looked out the window.

"Who's she?" Darcy asked as Erik parted from the hug.

"That's Jamie, my old college roommate and Loki's lover," Jane answered.

"What?!" Erik questioned in shock then wondered, "The same Loki who tried to invade Earth and killed 80 people in 2 days?"

"Yes. She volunteered to be his guard and wanted to help him since she said she could relate to him. He even told her that she was the reason he wouldn't try to take over Earth again and there was no manipulation in his words. They fell in love, but he died in her arms," Thor explained.

"Well, now I feel even worse," Erik said.

"It's alright, but please don't immediately jump to conclusion like that," Jamie requested.

Erik agreed, making her feel a little better.
