On Svartalfheim, Thor's skiff was still gliding overtop of the remains of a ruined Dark Elf city. Jamie leaned against Loki as he held her in his still cuffed arms. Jane then woke up and her eyes were now a brilliant blue. Jamie's were the same. Thor and Loki looked to both of them as Jane stood and Jamie sat up.

"Jane," Thor said, going to Jane's side.

"Jamie," Loki said, straightening up.

The women looked toward the front as an Ark appeared to them.

"Malekith," both women remarked.

Loki, Jamie, Thor, and Jane moved towards the edge of a cliff and watched Malekith and the Dark Elves exit the Ark on the plains below. Loki narrowed his eyes as he watched Kurse and Malekith stride across the sand.

"You remember the plan?" he whispered to Jamie.

"Yes," she answered.

"Good. Now remember, no matter what happens, I want you to know I'll always love you," Loki said.

"I love you too," Jamie responded and kissed him.

When they parted, Thor looked to his companions.

"All right. Are you ready?" he asked.

Jamie and Jane nodded.

"I am," Loki answered.

Loki pulled Thor to the side to talk as Malekith saw them standing on the cliff-edge.

"You know, this plan of yours is going to get us killed?" Loki asked.

"Yes, possibly," Thor answered.

Loki held up his cuffed wrists to Thor, but Thor hesitated.

"You still don't trust me, brother?" Loki asked.

"Would you?" Thor pointed out, unlocking the cuffs.

"No, I wouldn't," Loki answered.

Then out of nowhere, Loki stabbed Thor and threw him down the hill.

"Thor! No!" Jane yelled.

Jamie was in complete shock.

Malekith saw this and walked towards them.

"Do you really think I cared about Frigga? About anybody? All I ever wanted was you and Odin, dead at my feet!" Loki shouted.

Thor reached out to summon Mjölnir. But Loki cut off his hand with his dagger, then grabbed Jane and Jamie.

"Malekith! I am Loki of Jotunheim, and I bring you gifts!" Loki stated.

He threw the women at Malekith's feet.

"I ask only one thing in return. A seat from which to watch Asgard burn," Loki requested.

"Loki, why? I thought you loved me," Jamie said, tears starting to form.

"I, Loki the God of Mischief, love a mortal like you? I never did and never will," Loki spat.

Kurse then told Malekith in Elvish, "He is an enemy of Asgard. He was a prisoner in their dungeons."

"And to think the Aether would make you immortal," Malekith smirked to Jamie in English.

Malekith and Loki assessed each other, and Malekith walked over to Thor. Loki was a bit in shock at this new information, as was Jamie.

"Look at me," he commanded.

Malekith nudged Thor with his foot. He rolled to his back with difficulty. Malekith saw his amputed hand and lifted Jane and Jamie into the air. Loki and Thor watched as Malekith drew the Aether from both of them. Once the Aether left them, they fell to the ground, the Aether temporarily hovered in the air between them.

"Loki! Now!" Thor signaled.

Loki made Thor's hand reappear, made the illusion of Jamie disappear, then leapt over to Jane, shielding her as Thor summoned Mjölnir and attempted to destroy the Aether. It looked like it worked as the real Jamie stepped out, but then it turned out it wasn't destroyed.

(A/N Jamie still has the small amount of the Aether inside her.)

"Retrieve the other girl," Malekith told Kurse.

Kurse approached Jamie, making her charge and fight.

Malekith absorbed the main part Aether into him and left for his ship. Loki and Thor tried to stop him but Kurse threw a black hole grenade at them. Loki then saw one heading for Jamie, so he pushed her out of range, but then he was being sucked into the black hole.

"Loki!" she yelled, reaching to him.

Thor hurtled through the black hole and saved him.

Thor and Kurse began to fight as Loki and Jamie dealt with the handful of Dark Elves.

"Not what you expected for a first date, huh?" Jamie commented as they fought.

"Not entirely; it is entertaining, nonetheless," Loki said with a smirk.

Just before a Dark Elf could get Loki with his weapon, Jamie threw a dagger at the Dark Elf, getting him in the eye and he dropped dead. Loki looked at her in surprise.

"I agree," she smirked and they kept going.

Thor was getting his ass handed to him against Kurse. He was even deflecting Mjölnir as Thor tried to call it to him.

After Loki and Jamie defeated the Dark Elves, they looked to see Thor being smashed into the ground.

"Go protect Jane," Loki told her.

"What? No. I'm not letting you do this alone," Jamie responded.

"Please don't argue. Just go," Loki commanded gently.

She hesitated, but then kissed him quickly and nodded. She ran to Jane while Loki approached Kurse from behind. Once Jamie was with Jane, she watched Loki get a huge blade and impale Kurse before he could continue hurting Thor. But then Kurse turned and impaled Loki through the chest with the same blade.

"No!" Thor and Jamie shouted.

Kurse threw Loki to the ground and walked towards him, still with the blade in his chest, but it looked like it didn't affect him.

"See you in hell, monster," Loki spat.

Kurse look to see that Loki activated the black hole grenade he wore at his hip. Before he could get rid of it, it exploded and sucked the mutated Dark Elf into a black hole. Thor rushed to Loki's side.

"No, no, no..." Thor begged, holding a shaking Loki, then stated, "Oh, you fool, you didn't listen."

"I know...I'm a fool, I'm a fool," Loki shuddered.

"Stay with me, okay?" Thor pleaded.

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry. I'm sorry," Loki apologized.

"Shh...It's okay," Thor responded.

Loki stopped shaking and his face was turning a strange mottled soot color.

"It's all right. I'll tell Father what you did here today," Thor assured.

"I didn't do it for him," Loki told him.

They looked to see Jamie running as tears came down her face. Thor stood up for a minute to let them talk. Jamie collapsed at Loki's form and held him close.

"Loki, please don't leave me," she sobbed.

"I'm sorry I can't keep my promise," he said as he caressed her cheek and dried some of her tears.

"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. I can't lose you," Jamie cried.

"I'll always be with you," Loki told her then requested, "Could you sing the chorus of that song we danced to?"

Jamie exhaled a shaky breath then nodded.

"You're gonna make it
You're gonna make it
The night can only last for so long

Whatever you're facing
If your heart is breaking
There's a promise for the ones who just hold on
Lift up your eyes and see
The sun is rising"

When she finished, Loki died in her arms. Both her and Thor broke down and screamed. Jane saw this as she walked to them and felt their hearts shatter. Jamie kissed Loki's lips one last time.
