Chapter 30: Taking a Dark Elf Ship
"Assuming you can get Loki's help and you can free this mortal, what good would it do? We'd all be dead the minute we step one foot outside the palace," Volstagg explained.
"That, my friend, is why we won't be leaving by foot," Thor responded.
Thor, Loki, Jamie, and Jane made it to the crashed Harrow Ship in the throne room. Volstagg stood there waiting for them.
"I will give you as much time as I can," Volstagg promised.
"Thank you my friend," Thor thanked.
Volstagg nodded to Jane and Jamie, who returned it. As Loki passed, Volstagg stopped him, so Jamie waited for him.
"If you even think about betraying him--" Volstagg started.
"You'll kill me? Evidently, there will be a line," Loki remarked.
As they walked toward the ship, Jamie commented, "What do they plan to do? Kill you then revive you just so they can kill you again?"
Loki chuckled and responded, "It is possible."
"And just so you know, I won't be happy if you betray Thor, but I won't be in that line to kill you," she assured.
"At least you haven't lost your senses," Loki smiled.
"I see where they're coming from when it comes to Thor, but they'll have to get through me if they want to kill you," Jamie stated.
"Then why didn't you stop the other mortal from punching me in the face?" he questioned with a smirk.
"Because she wasn't trying to kill you. And let's be honest, you kinda did deserve that," she answered, making Loki roll his eyes with a smirk.
They entered the ship to see Thor, pressing buttons.
"I thought you said you knew how to fly this thing," Loki said.
"I said, 'how hard could it be?'" Thor corrected.
More soldiers were making their way to the ship. Volstagg readied his axe in response.
"They're on the ship! Get to the ship!" one of the guards yelled.
Then they and Volstagg began fighting.
