(A/N Anything in Italics for a while will be flashbacks to the secret meeting.)

Thor walked up to Loki's cell. Loki walked towards the energy barrier to meet him while Jamie stood beside him.

"Thor. After all this time, and now you come to visit me. Why? Have you come to gloat? To mock?" Loki asked.

"Loki, enough. No more illusions," Thor said.

"I told you he wouldn't buy it," Jamie said.

"He has before," Loki pointed out.

The illusion went away from a neat, tidy cell to show the room scattered with upturned furniture, and Loki sitting against the opposite wall with Jamie leaning against him. His foot was bleeding, his clothing was torn, and his hair was a mess. She was the same from after her battle with Kurse, even when she stayed in the cell.

"Now you see me brother," Loki told Thor.

Thor made his way to the side of the barrier they were on.

"Did she suffer?" Loki asked.

"I did not come here to share our grief. Instead I offer you the chance of a far richer sacrament," Thor said.

"Go on," Loki remarked.

"I know you seek vengeance as much as I do. You help me escape Asgard and I will grant it to you; vengeance. And afterward, this cell," Thor proposed.

Loki chuckled and pointed out, "You must be truly desperate to come to me for help. What makes you think you can trust me?"

"I don't. Mother did. And Jamie does, which is enough for me. She and Jane both have the Aether inside of them and if you care for Jamie as much as she does for you, you will help me. But you should know that when we fought each other in the past, I did so with the glimmer of hope that my brother was still in there somewhere. That hope no longer exists to protect you. You betray me and I will kill you," Thor explained.

In response, Jamie lightly squeezed Loki's arm in worry. But she relaxed when he placed his hand on one of hers and looked at her with a reassuring smile. She returned it and nodded. Loki turned back to Thor, still with a smile on his face.

"When do we start?" he asked.

"He will betray you," Fandral pointed out.

"He will try," Thor corrected.
